  3. You may as well have her wait and do it all in the same day after she gets visa in hand in the PP.

And your reasoning? We're tired of waiting, she's and her daughter are sat at home just ready to go, for one it would give her something to do.

We have a tickets bought and so the minute she has her visa she can be on a plane, be nice to have this sorted instead of pissing around with stupid government red tape yet again unless you are going to tell me she can just walk in and get it the minute her visa is in her hand...no thought not.

So no one can answer my original question then?

    Hi!

I have a friend who just attended a CFO seminar here in Cebu, and she has no passport (still on the application process). So I guess, your wife can attend the Guidance and Counseling but will be back as soon as she has the passport with visa (to get the CFO stamp).

  4. As per requirement,Filipino traveling abroad as fiancé(e) or spouse of a foreign national is required to attend the CFO’s guidance and counseling programs as a pre-requisite to the issuance of a passport. My question could it be done before medical and interview schedule?or does it really require to finish the medical and interview?

    Hi!

It is not a requirement to finish the medical and interview! You can have your CFO now if you want.

  5. To our Almighty God, Thank you so much for this very precious gift![/color]

To all, and also to my fellow VJers who continue help, guide and praying us MARAMING SALAMAT PO!!!

Another successful interview was done this morning.

I arrived at 6:00am. Waiting for 30mins for the 7:00am appointment for that is my time. After that, we are called to fall in line in the guard area to enter the embassy premises getting ready with us our APPOINTMENT LETTER AND DS156 FORMS.

As we get inside, instructed to sit on the blue chair waiting for our turn to get our number and so with the checking of DS156 (2copies), ds157 (2copies) and DS156K (1copy) for K1 only.

After having our number, waiting for our names to be called for fingerprint scanning. (The officer was impressed of me, saying "VERY GOOD PERFECT, YOU GET MY INSTRUCTIONS!!!" And I replied "Thank you Ma'am!" (But you know what guys I was worried because my name was called like 1hr after i got my number. I stand up and talk to an embassy lady and she told me "just wait ma'am you will be called later.") So i sat back.

Another half hour waiting for my prescreening. And thanks God I had a strict ugly Filipina prescreener. But anyway, I able to give to her all what she wants like my BC, NBI, Rodge ITR, our pictures together, and she asked me mails and emails and I told her I am sorry Ma'am we dont use to write coz we talk twice a day in YM and he called me 3x a day. So i handed to her our chatlogs and phonebills but she refused on phonebills. So I am done.

Waiting for my CO interview. I was assigned in window29. She is very nice.I greeted her first Good morning (with a big smile, hands on my chest and with a bow). She asked me to give her more seconds for she was searching a name and it was not in the list for the day, but she able to find it when there was a lady went to her side. So she's done.

    MY TURN:

CO: Raise your right hand."Do you swear........................................."

    Asnwer: YES I DO!

    Asking the following questions

    What is ur name?

    What is ur petitioners name?

    How old are you?

    How old is ur fiance?

    How you met him?

How long since you met him?

When was you first see him?

How long he stayed in Philippines?

    What is his job?

    Is ur fiance married before?

    How many times?

    Does he has kids?

Are you willing to take care of his kids?

How sure you are that he will be ur husband?

How can you say that this will be his last marriage?

She smiled with all of my answers. She's checking if we are complete of Rodge divorce decrees. And Yes we are coz we already prepared them all.

CO: I see that everything is fine. Your visa is approved. Congratulations!!!

What a big smile I have and I replied "THANK YOU SO MUCH Ma'am!!!

Window 29: He returned our pictures and chatlogs. He gave me back the appointment letter with the PINK SLIP only and YES only pink slip!!!:dance::dance:

    Pay Delbros...

    HOME SWEET HOME!!!

    VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

To all my fellows VJers who will have their interview soon Good luck!!! Believe in Him and be in yourself everything will be okey.

To others who don’t have their NOA2, Good luck too, no worry guys, It will come in HIS TIME and in the RIGHT TIME!!!

And also who have just started, God bless in your Visa journey!!!

    THANK YOU!!!

    Hi!

Congratulations!!!! We are happy for you (me and my fiance)! God Bless! :)

  6. I just read this on the USCIS.

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

It looks like they have been putting Iraqi refugees ahead of the American citizens.

Since the program began last spring, a total of 27,940 Iraqi individuals have been referred for resettlement to the USRAP. USCIS has interviewed 18,926 Iraqi refugee applicants, approved 13,067 for resettlement and 6,480 Iraqi refugees have arrived in the U.S. as of June 4, 2008.

I'll refrain from any further comments, so I don't get myself in trouble again :innocent:

I know the feeling! This is the USC half of "Honeybadger", and I think there are a lot of USC folks wondering why the USCIS gives the priority to certain groups that it does. I for one am not happy with the way immigration is run and plan to send lots of comments to my representatives and Senator, about the way the US seems to be flooded with groups who do not have the best interest of our country in mind. Its too bad that you have to feel you can't say more because someone or some group might take offense. I guess freedom of speech is no longer for "all of us".

  7. "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? The one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves."

    Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (L)

  8. A TREASURE MAP OF HAPPINESS

Simplicity will point to you where and what and who the gold is in your life. Let me share with you the seven powerful lessons I've learned on simple living:

    1. LIVE ON LESS, AND DELIGHT IN THEM MORE

Some take their pleasure dining in classy restaurants, trips to Europe, and owning the latest home theatre-equipment. I've chosen the simple path:

If I can simply be with my wife, or take a quiet stroll under a canopy of stars, or play with a child, or read a good book in my home, or laugh with friends over a pizza, I consider myself richly blessed.

Focus on what you have and not on what you don't have.

    2. STOP RUNNING AND WALK INSTEAD

Here's the truth: The person who has covered the greatest distance does NOT win, but the one who has most enjoyed the journey does. Stop running around chasing your own tail!

Get off your hurried pace and learn to breathe. Replace doing with being. Learn to say no to invitations, appointments, and commitments, activities and events that will rob you of your focus. Learn to say "yes" t o rest, to tranquility, to quietness.

    3. YOU ARE MORE THAN YOUR WEALTH

I own very few things today. Because I am more than the brand of my watch, the logo of my shoes, the name of my car. I believe that if in my soul I deeply respect and value myself, people around me will sense that, and they too, will value and respect me-whether I'm wearing Armani or not.

You are more than your wealth.

    4. AVOID BUYING ON CREDIT

I don't believe in borrowing from credit cards. (For convenience, I use one card but I pay the whole amount at the end of each month.) If I need something really bad, I save up for it. Sometimes, at midpoint, I realize I don't really need the darn thing and give up the whole idea. The only exception I feel we should enter into a credit is when buying a non-depreciating item, such as housing or land. I believe we sho uld always live within our earning capacity.

Proverbs 22:7 says, "Those who borrow are slaves of moneylenders."

    5. GIVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN

If I content myself with P250 shirt instead of P4,000 Lacoste, I can help others more. Trust me, there is immense pleasure! You will find that the empty thrill of owning a diamond ring on your finger pales in comparison to the joy of handling a piece of bread to an orphan child.

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." (2 Corinthians 9:8)

The Old Testament of tithing or giving 10% of your income is a good guideline to follow. The New Testament challenges us to give with a cheerful heart. (When you're cheerful, you may give more than 10%!) Make it a habit.

    6. SAVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN

Saving is essential to being good stewards of the money that God "lends" to us. Saving is an important way of providing for our future-both for our needs and to be generous to others. I recommend that you save at least 10% of your income. I can almost hear you now: "Bo, that's impossible!" Oh yeah? Well, how did you live three years back when your salary was one-half its present amount?" Sacrifice. Many of our needs are actually wants. Is cable TV a need? Will you suddenly die if you can't watch CNN or HBO? Are those new golf clubs essential to your existence? Invest in time deposits, long-term stocks and housing.

    7. BUDGET, BUDGET, BUDGET

Make a list of all your monthly expenses, according to categories. Make also a list of irregular expenses-those that don't come monthly. Set up another savings account for these expenses and put in a little money each month. To differenti ate this from the savings account, we call ours "freedom account" because it frees us from worrying about them when they suddenly attack. And stick to your budget!

ONE LAST WORD BEFORE WE CLOSE

    Balance.

Don't take living simply to the extremes! Living simply doesn't mean living in deprivation. There are special days when my wife and I eat in a fancy restaurant. Or, when we splurge into a vacation. Very rare, yes, but my point is that you take living simply NOT as a rigid goal- but as a happy process towards the goals of generosity, inner peace and holiness.

Have a nice day! God Bless.

    BO SANCHEZ

  9. I empathize with your feelings girls. I know what it's like. It feels like endless. All you could do is wait, hope and keep the faith that your application will be approved so soon!

When we got our approval from USCIS I was teary-eyed, really. I couldn't contain the joy in my heart. If felt like a big black wall crumbled infront of me and I saw the bright future waiting ahead of us.

YAY!!! You will have your victories so soon! Don't forget to share your joys when you already have it in your hands, ok?

Keep the faith and love alive!

    Hi Riza!
