  1. I can appreciate your confusion. For all intents and purposes as it relates to us, the clients, yes - they are the same. Basically, the CR-189 is an internal document while the I-751 is the client petition. You file the I-751 and they create a CRA-189 file and process your I-751 as the CR-I89. I am not sure why they do it this way but I suspect it has to do with the fact that there are other circumstances where someone is removing conditions on residency besides marriage and they unify their processing in-house after they have differentiated the requirements of the petition for filing. This is why you will find that the initial receipt will not give you access to a status update but you will need to wait for the biometrics letter which has a different receipt number that is linked to the internally processed CR-189 before you can find out what is going on.

So, don't worry - your situation is perfectly fine.

It is now clear! Confusion is gone! Thank you so much!

  2. Hi all!

It's almost time for us to lift conditions. Hubby and I have some questions. We are both hoping that Vjers can help us with this.

    Question:

    1. Our location is in TX, where are we going to send our packet? Pls. give us the exact address.

    2. How much is the cost?

We will surely appreciate you guys for taking the time on this.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi everyone... I came here in the US on a K3 visa. I am submitting my AOS in a few days. My question is do I need to submit I-693 when I already have my DS-3025? I have read before that if I have my DS-3025 and its less than a year from the time of medical exam that I don't need I-693. But I read here just today that I still should go to a doctor to fill out the form I-693 and there will also be a fee for that... Please enlighten me about this matter...thanks...

u need to have it transcribe by a certified civil surgeon in your area. only CS will determine what are the additional vaccines that u need to get.

good luck on your AOS process!

  4. Hi to all,

I know that you need to redo your medical if your medical expired before you apply AOS. My questions are, do you need to be seen by a USCIS CS in redoing your medical? or an ordinary CS or family doctor will do (then I'll just submit the new medical exam to a USCIS CS for him to transcribe it)?

    Thanks in advance :star:

    hi pink!

I think that u need to see a USCIS certified CS which is more expensive...is ur medical expired already? dba mga August ka nag medical? Please check the USCIS webste and u can pull out CS people in ur area.

take care and congrats again! magiging nanay ka na soon!

  5. Hi I'm posting this for my friend. I would like to know what would be the best time to go to St. Mary or Prism for the counseling?

Does she need to be early like 6 am or 7 am? What are the requirements? I need your help guys since I had my counseling in Cebu so I don't have any idea about the CFO in Manila. Hope you can give me some inputs. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    hi!

I am from Cebu but had my counseling in PRISM in Manila since it will only take an hour or two (did the counseling when we went up there for medical). I went to PRISM like 1pm (after my vaccination)was done close to 3pm. I got my sticker/stamp in Cebu CFO. No hassle at all! It was quick and very neat experience.

Thank you for the reply. So that means she can go to Prism any time of the day before 5pm?

Yeep, I guess so, but when i went there its only like 3 pipz not a lot. No video showing just a one on one counseling and thats it! DONE :)

soon after my work permit arrived, 2 days after, got my first interview, after a week, accepted my first job here in US.

Nov 3, started my first job. Now, im about 6 months with the company here in US and I love it!

Then Dec 5, discovered that I'm expecting.... now 28 weeks pregnant!.. and awaiting for our very first baby...

March 6, moved to newly-bought house.

July 18 - expected due date for our very first baby.

Too much blessing in a year... Too much going on... until now still thankful and grateful for everything.

  11. I have a question again.

Has anyone tried going to the interview with the printed copy of Appointment letter sent by NVC on email?

My interview date is April 27th and I still have not received the hard copy of the appointment letter but only on email. I called the NVC about this and they said I would still receive a hard copy. What if I still won't have it on the day of the interview, will USEM accept the printed email copy?

    Many thanks!

    printed email copy is fine!

    Good Luck on your interview!
