Filling out the DS-230 for a K-1 Packet 3 response to the Montreal Embassy:
How detailed were your responses to question 20 and 25? See my concerns below.
---
Question 20 "List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality. Begin with your present residence."
I lived in Scarborough during my childhood, but that has since been amalgamated into the City of Toronto... so Technically I've lived in Toronto all my life, just at various addresses (parents' house, University residence, apartments). Since there is no "address" column, is it sufficient to say I lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from my date of birth to present?
---
Question 25 "List dates of all previous visits to or residence in the United States"
Seems a bit ridiculous to have just 3 lines here. I've been to the States countless times throughout my my life (from single days to weeks at a time). What did you all do about this part?
---
Thanks in advance!

Just checking back in here with some more info: NVC received my file from VSC on 26-nov-2008. I just got the packet 3 from the Montreal Embassy this morning (8-dec-2008). From here on in I will probably be posting in the Canada-specific forum. Good luck on the next phase, everyone!

I'm from Toronto, ON, Canada -- but my fiancee is from Cape Elizabeth, ME (just outside of Portland, bordering South Portland). I've spent a lot of time there over the last 5 years of our relationship. It's the most beautiful place I have visited. I've been all around Southern Maine, like Bailey Island, Freeport, Portland, SoPo, Cape, Scarborough, and Saco.
I usually visit around the holidays. I actually like Maine in the winter more than the summer... maybe because the last time I was there in August for 10 days it was raining and cloudy most of the time Here's some pics I took on a boat trip: http://www.panoramio.com/user/2132566
I am surprised no one has mentioned LL Bean yet! I'm wearing some wicked good slippers right now.

Judging by a search of similar timelines, there are 4 NOA2s in the group--averaging 126 days between NOA1 and NOA2.
So... if you submitted in mid-July and got an NOA1 in early August (like me), it appears that NOA2s will be coming in late November or early December.
If the trend holds up, we'll start hearing from early July filers by mid-November. Stay frosty!

We got our K-1 NOA1 after ~13 business days in the VSC's hands.
The package arrived at VSC on July 17th, 2008. The check was debited from my fiancee's account on Aug 5 (we were able to see the case number clearly on the back of the check--you can only do this online with web banking). She received a letter the next day in the mail (Aug 6). The official date on the NOA1 form was Aug 4.
Just out of coincidence I was visiting her at the time so it was an added bonus to the trip!
Packet 3: DS-230, Part 1. Questions 20 + 25.

Thanks for your input, everyone. I have a few more questions coming up but they'll be in a separate topic.
