  1. The DS-230 is generated by the NVC once they receive payment for the IV Bill. If you sent this payment already, you have to wait for them to generate the DS-230. If you haven't received the bill, see if you can get your IIN from them and check it online and see if you can pay it there. Two days after you make the payment online, you can print out the DS-230 coversheet that you have to send with the DS-230.

The DS-230 itself can be downloaded from this link DS-230 and make sure you start collecting the civil documents you will need to send with it. You can check that info out here: DOS link

  7. I need help, I tried to contact 1-909-101-7878 us embassy's customer service but I can't get through. They said in their website that all can contact 1-909-101-7878 through SMART or PLDT and I tried to use my SMART phone but it didn't work. I tried to go to a pay phone PLDT but they charged me 120 pesos per minute and that is over pricing I paid 480 pesos for only 4 minutes but I haven't talked to a customer service yet. It just kept ringing and hear their automated voice response with their stupid music so I hanged up and had paid 480 pesos for nothing. Does anyone here knows any alternative ways to contact customer service? If I am in manila I could have just go to us embassy and inquire but I'm living in cebu. All I just want to ask from them is what requirement do I need to pass at window X in order for me to have a request letter from them so that I can process my police clearance in Japan. Please anyone from here who can help?

    thanks,

    anna

  8. Hello I was married this year on Febuary 18 in the Philippines. I am in just the beginning part of this process and am wondering which is the quickest way to go. The place where I will be filing is Vermont. I thought do live in Portsmouth NH where the visa center is located. Just now my wife is in Cebu taking the seminar that is needed for her to obtain her passport. Thank you.

    TWC

There are two types how can you get your wife, you may file K3/CR1. K3 has shorter leadtime yet a lot of paper works to be done compared to CR1.

If ur in hurry to get your wife, file for K3. But i suggest CR1 is much better, process takes 6-12 months only. Thank you

  9. To my VJ Family I need your assistance & help.

When we filed/applied for I-130 wherein a photocopy of a valid passport is one of the basic & major requirement/s, I sent the photocopy of my Philippine Passport with my SINGLE NAME all throughout the process started from USCIS to NVC. But in our I-130 application and NVC DS-230 forms we used and put my MARRIED NAME. Does it will affect and bring confusion to the interviewing consulate if ever? Or do I need to amend my Philippine Passport using my married name? My passport is still valid until October 2009.

Lastly, what are the necessary documents I should prepare/bring during the CR1/CR2 interview aside from PROOF OF A GENUINE MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP? I believe NVC has everything already and the latter will forward the same original documents to USEM-Consulate. We are anticipating for an August 2008 interview. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi, im a cr1 filer too, we have thesame case, until now i havent change my passport yet into my married name, during our application for 130 I did not present any copy of my passport, just last week my husband paid for our AOS. do you know what is the next procedure after that? how long will it be take before the medical, i have to know that because im 7 months pregnant as of now. Are u still in the philippines? can i get ur cp no? hope to hear from you.

    Honeyleen

  11. my baby was born here in manila philippines however we applied for crba..but it was not granted because my husband lacks domicile records in america after his 14th birthday we provide some proofs but for them its still not enough..we cant supply any other records because all the docs and computer related files were all destroyed during the hurricane katrina.."my husband resides in louisiana" and now...since his only 22 years old he dont even have job nor any tax returns..he was just a student..any idea how can i apply my daughter to bring with him in US?

i was unlucky too because i got a pink and white slip..and supposedly the june batches for release of visa in manila was already released including me however for the 2nd time the BAD consulate request for more..she wants a notarized certificate of employment on the first page (and when i passed it , she did not specify where to put the notary stamp, since therhttp://www.visajourney.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/star_smile.gife was an acknowlegement letter on the second page for the documentation the stamp was on the second page), now inspite of my father is above the poverty guideline, the consulate request for i864 and i864a for my stepmom (my dads' new wife), with rental lease ..=(

any help is highly appreciated thanks

Hi, as far as i know the last time i inquired to the US embassy, ur baby can acquired being a US Citizen despite that she was born here, provided these fpllowing docs:

    > NSO Birth certificate of your baby

    > DS11 form ( you can get that froom FEDEX) i forgot the phone number. They are the one who process all the docs that u need for your baby going to US embassy.

    > proof of relationship, NSO Marriage contract

    > proof of citizenship of the father it can be a passport/naturalization /birthcert

    > Proof of family pictures, picture taken by you and ur husband together with ur baby

    > Personal appearance of ur baby to the US embassy

Payment for the passpoprt is 150usd.

    Hope this can help u.

  12. hi,

Hi guys..please list down your flight here and airlines ..so that alam natin kung sino sino ang magkakasabay ...

    advance na me..

    September 2 ..Cathay Pacific Airlines

Hi My name is Honeyleen, My case is CR1 i got approved last 6/13. I just want to ask if what is the next step after the approval of my case. I hope to hear from you.

    Thank you and God Bless.

  13. No, the CSC doesn't send your petition to the US embassy. Once they approve it, they will send it to the NVC (National Visa Center), this can take between 2-7 weeks. When they receive it, they will assign it a case number and then send it to the embassy which can take another 2-6 weeks. The embassy will then send you packet 3, this includes a list of documents that you need to have in hand before the interview, once you have them ready you reply to them telling them that you're all set. When they know you have your documentation ready, they will send you packet 4 which is the interview letter with day and time, this will also have the information needed for your medical.

    Diana

    Hi Diana,

I just got my approval (NOA2) mu husband is in the US now, we just received the hard copy. After that as u mentioned it will be send to NVC for case number to be assigned. Are they going to notify me also thru mail? I am currently in the Philippines. When are we going to send the AOS then?? My husband filed me last Feb this year, can u estimate if when can i go to US?

    hOPE TO HEAR from you.

    Thank you,

    Honeyleen

  14. hello guys ..... need some advise.... i filed my i 130 last march 2008 and i haven't got my notice of action i 797c or receipt letter until now, when i called the customer service i found out that they sent it already since march and they gave me the case status number..... i know that i can file my i 129f already but my problem is i dont have my i 797c or notice of action, that's one requirement the immigration's looking for if you file for i 129f... what should i do???? need help.....

one more thing which one is faster to petition my wife.... using i 129f or non immigrant visa/ k3 visa or the immigrant visa?? thanks for any help guys....

Hi, i believe that K3 procedure is faster than cr1, but i suggest that you filed your wife as immigrant visa, though leadtime may take you 6-12 months, advantages for cr1 are less paper docs, and once shel be in the US shel be considered as immigrant right away, compared to K3 which your status is conditional for two years even if you can still renew you visa. Your decision is up to you.

  15. Well the day finally came when we mailed the entire I-130 package away! What a relief! My husband received a NOA1 in the U.S. where he lives stating they received payment, and obviously we received a number starting with letters "EAC" to track our case online.

    So now what?

We only sent in the I-130 along with the G-325A's. I feel like we're missing something. When do we mail in the I-129f and what is that used for anyways?

Still no 'touches' on our application either, and April 29th our NOA1 was received. Should I be worried?

Sorry for the rambles, just hoping this will all be over by October...

Thanks guys! So glad we did this on our own, I've had friends with major lawyer issues! This VJ family is awesome! :star:

P.S. what is the process of visiting the U.S. from Canada when the I-130 is pending anyways?

Hi as far as i know, one u get noa1 that's the time u could send your 129f, are u filing for K3? well i suggest that cr1 is much better. Just wait for a while and soon ul get ur response from USCIS. We are still waiting for our noa2.... its been 3 months from now since we receiuved noa1.

  16. Hello everyone! My fiance and I have a plan to get married on October 19 of this year. My fiance is an american and he's living in California. I'm here in Cambodia for my work but we'll get married in the Philippines in my homeland. Please help me what documents he gonna bring since he's divorce. My friend told me that my fiance needs to bring his certificate of divorce when he goes to Philippines. And when he's in the Philippines, he will apply for his certificate of capacity to marry in US Embassy in Philippines...is this right? What else we gonna do for our paper works? And another thing, after our wedding what's next step we gonna do for my visa. Please do help us, since we're new with this. It's highly appreciated if you gonna help us..Thanks in advance. God bless you all! Please keep posted.

Hi, yes your friend is right. Your husband to be should bring his certificate as proof that he was divorsed. One of the requirements for all the docs that ul be needing is the legal capacity, the embassy is open from mon-fri for that from 8-10am, i think the payment is less than 50 dollors you can pay thru perso or thru usd, others docs are your birth certificate, cenomar for you, and a copy of your seminars like family plannning. Is it going to be a civil or church wed??? i think if church its more on paper works but if u have much time you can manage it. Good luck!

  18. I'm starting to freak out!!! VSC has not changed their processing times! but I'm hoping that I get approved by the end of may or maybe June, may God bless all of you and give us strength to overcome this hard and cruel times separated of our love ones.

Don't give up hope....my case was approved in the middle of May along with about 7 other February filers. Hoping for the end of May or June isn't hoping for too much at all =)

hI WHAT DOES "TOUCHED" mean? sorry im just new here. Im so happy that ur case was approved already. Im still waiting for mine. We filed last Feb and received noa1 last feb 20, till now we are still waiting for my noa2.. makes me feel worried,,, but patience is a virtue. Hope to hear from you.

  19. can someone give me an idea of when my case would be approved? i mailed it on 3-31-08 and i got a NOA1 on 4-8-08, touched on 4-11-08. my case is at CSC, please give me an idea so i can try my process for NVC. thanks

    Thank you

    Honeyleen

i filed mine last oct 2007 and i got approved for I-130 petition April 2008 i took 6 months for me

Thank you for your reply. That's a long time though. Well iguess patience is a virtue. My husband is working in a military service navy in particular, is it true that they prioritized them more? what does touched mean?

Hope to hear more from you.
