Sounds like it used to be an lpr filing who got naturalized. sadly, i dont know anything about that.

Are you sure DCF takes 6months?I heard it is a lot faster but I dont know anything about Uk.
I dont know how old and experienced you are but maybe a trainee position with a J1 would be the right thing for you.

We have always gone into the same line in ATL. never have hada problem.

In my opinion it is best to get married before you leave. Do you have to go back?
If not, I would get married and apply for Adjustment of Status. Just dont leave before that is through and you have your travel documents.

I think a returning husband to korea should be the strongest tie you could have. so maybe there is a slight chance going from there.how much longer will your husband stay in korea that you dont want them to issue the cr 1?

Congrats! We just found out we got our NOA 2 3/18.

Thank you Sachinky! That's what I had on mind. Good to hear that's possible. So i guess I will call them on Monday and get the case number.
Thanks!!!

That's what I figured. Do I still start by calling them or is it unnecessary in our case?

Hey!
Funny pictures! Seems to be bad at the NVC!
I hope y'all can help me!
We got our NOA 2 last week and are not in a hurry for the visa since our plans changed and my husband came to Germany for at least another 16 months. Now I dont know if I have to call the NVC to tell them 1) that he officially is in Germany now (his Mom still lives at the other address) and 2)that we want to wait with the next step. Do you have an idea?

We got our NOA2 last Friday. Now I need to see how to make it take the longest time until I get it since our plans have changed,...

Paulthind:
Did y'all do DCF or the normal CR-I? I can't believe it got approved that fast if it wasn't DCF!
-
Zenaxe, I hope you will hear something, soon. It is nice for us not to stress out about it. Especially since it won't make it faster anyway.
-
Congrats to everybody who got approved. I know a lot of people are waiting on it. We are cool because my husband will be mooving to Germany next Friday and so, we are not in a hurry. You can get your NOA 2s before us ;-)

We filed 8 days after our wedding. But it is the CR-I not the IR-I because for that you have to be married for two years.
We added a lot of proof for a good realtionship before our wedding, affidavits of relatives and we got a joint account in the States and Germany which was no problem at all.
You don't have to wait to file!
Good luck!

We are going to do it that way, too. But our plans changed after we started the CR-I.
If I had known about my husband coming to Germany I wouldn't have started the process. It is a lot easier/faster to do a dcf (direct consular filing) so you should consider doing ot that way.

We are having a similar problem. Here is what we are going to do. First, we will wait after the NOA2 to send out all the documents. After that we will try to get a late interview and then wait for almost 6 months to fly to the States. After that, we will go back to Germany for a while (not more than a year) until we finally move to the States for good.
Of course, we are not as far as you are with your visa...
-
You ask me why I said that? Because that's how it is if you don't do DCF. Right now, the Septemberfilers get their NOA 2s, only one October filer who expedited his petition got his NOA2.
As far as I know the whole process takes longer than just five months since those are meant to be just for the first part of our journey. I am prepared for 9-12 months till everything is over.

Maybe those people you talked to were filing for student visas etc. There, you have to show a certain amount of money. No problem with a co sponser in your case, though.
-
Mytha, that is not true! You do not have be i n the States to be claimed as his wife. TErry could do it without me being in the States.
-
We probably wont see too many touvhes within the next 2 months. We need to be patient!
-
I do not see a reason at all why you should be denied. He might need a co-sponsor if he doesnt make enough money but y'all should be fine!
