I'm getting so frustrated with the K1 visa process. Did everything correctly in addition to hiring a company to help with the K1 visa process. Finally was down to the interview and she took in all the documents they normally ask for. The financial documents and further proof of us meeting again and printing out 100s of pictures and screenshots of chat logs. The interviewer assistant took the divorce decree and never returned it to my fiancee. The main interviewer said that was one of the documents she didn't have. Also the interviewer never asked for proof of relationship but put down that was one of the reasons her K1 visa was denied. My fiancee had a huge binder full of proof. I asked her why she didn't give it to her and she said she never asked for it. Then the interviewer asked for a marriage certificate for that we already had a divorce decree for and that was 25 years ago. We sent in all 3 documents they asked for and her passport. We haven't gotten a response in 5 weeks.
Another thing that was really weird my fiancee told me about the interview. The interviewer asked my fiancee 4 times how much money I make per year? She didn't ask about our relationship or when we were getting married. She kept asking her why didn't she know how much I made because she had the financial documents before coming to the interview. The interviewer had my financial documents so I don't see the reasoning behind her asking 4 times. Its like she was trying to start some argument between me and my fiancee.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do next? Has something similar happened to someone else?
