I recently changed my status from H-1B to F-1 (approved) and am preparing for my visa interview in Serbia this June. My original financial sponsor was a friend who became a U.S. citizen three months ago. However, I am considering switching to my father as my primary sponsor, potentially with additional support from my father’s company and a family friend’s company in Bosnia, to better demonstrate long-term financial stability and stronger family ties to my home region.
Would changing sponsors at this stage raise any concerns during the interview? Also, would bank statements showing sufficient funds for one academic year be enough, or should I include additional documentation (such as sponsorship letters, proof of relationship, or company financials)?
