  1. As USC your little ones will need to exit and enter the USA with a U.S. passport. For the Philippines having their Philippines passport is a big plus as there are no restrictions for staying.

Did you complete naturalization yet? With just a green card you are very limited to how long you can be outside the USA before USCIS would void your LPR status.

We already filed. Just waiting now... our departure plan is March. Hopefully my citizenship interview is not later than that. Both little ones already have U.S. passport. Also done reporting the birth of our 1st born in the Philippine Embassy New York.. but not yet with our youngest one. Planning to report his birth there in the Philippines if we don't really have to have their Philippine passport to enter Philippines for long time.

  2. Hi. We are moving in the Philippines with our 2 little ones age (4 years old and a 8 months old). Definitely visit here in the U.S. once a year or every other year. My question is can they just use their US passport or they really gonna need the Philippine passport ?

  3. Okay... I gave birth to our 2nd child last April 26, and after 2 weeks... I finally got a chance today to unpacked the bags that we brought with us at the hospital. I noticed that my wallet is missing! Called the hospital, and they told me they found nothing but will call me if something come up that fit with the description of the wallet I described to them. I know I can replace the DL, Insurance Card, CC, debit card and everything else in that wallet. My problem is my GC  .

Back to my question.... How hard to get a new 10 years GC ? How much is this gonna cost us ? If I apply for citizenship.. do they need my GC or they just need my A# ? Thank you in advance for any info....

  4. Bringing Parents to Live in the United States as Permanent Residents

    Eligibility

To petition for your parents (mother or father) to live in the United States as green card holders, you must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old. Green card holders (permanent residents) may not petition to bring parents to live permanently in the United States.

    More information here.

    Thanks for the link !

  5. Okay, living here in the U.S. for almost 7 years now and finally decided to bring my mom here. Me and hubby have a 3 years old daughter and I am currently pregnant and due next month with our baby #2 (boy). Though I enjoy staying at home every minute with our daughter at home and not getting up at 5am to get my self ready for work, I'm at the point now that I do really realllllyyy miss working again even atleast 30 hrs. a week. Daycare is not in our option, not only because that we probably end up paying more in Daycare than the paycheck I am making. It is also about me not being comfortable leaving our kids in Daycare. Atleast if it's my mom, I know that she will take care of our kids maybe more than the way I take care of them.

Anyway, I'm a little bit worried if she will just get denied coz of her English, since she doesn't speak really that good or fluently . Maybe she is, probably just need more practice. Hope someone can give me some of their information and experiences.. Thanks in advance :) .

  6. Plan is maybe to apply for citizenship when my 10 years GC is about to expire on 2021. No rush. We are taking a break with those papers again and the USCIS status lol. Right now, we are just focussing on our family and a normal life together.

  7. Give it a year ! We used to fight once a week for more than a year before coz of our differences. We are just so inlove to each other to give us up. I guess first year of marriage is really hard. Be patience on her and compromise. Value the vow of your marriage.

  8. In the Philippines if someone stole your phone, they will never answer a call from that stolen phone. they will take the Sim card out and sold it. So hope you are not thinking that the phone was stolen . If you tolerate bulls**t once, it will just keep coming next time. Sorry this happened to you.

Some filipina like me is looking for a love of a foriegn guy and have a better future with them together.. But then also, some filipina is looking for money from a foreign guy so her and the filipino bf/husband can have the money together for their future. Lol

I know some of us are sucks ! so ashamed. :-(

  9. Both me and husband are here in the U.S when we bought a land in Bohol recently for our "Dream House" that we are going to build there in the future when we are getting closer of moving back there. We hired a lawyer and my elder sister as our representative for doing all the business. We just had to sent couple Power of Attorney. Transferring a title to your name is a LOT of work, papers and money. If you think you have no one that you can really trust to take care all the works and everything better to go back there for awhile and take care it your self.

    Good Luck !

  10. My husband told me the same thing about her problem. But there is actually more of a story recently that this option may not gonna apply to her anymore. But thanks for more of the advice here. Will mention it to her. Hopefully this not gonna add up with her regrets.

  11. Consider what other members said. Don't be shy or feel awkward for asking him your own lawyer.

BTW, I have very close friend living in Maryland. Her husband didn't mention to her about the prenup when she was still in the Philippines while processing her visa. 1 week after she arrived her husband told her that he want to have a prenup. She was heart broken and disappointed, but she signed anyway, coz she love the guy and didn't marry him for his money. 2 years after their marriage the guy cheated on her, travel a lot in all different countries without her. Then later the guy also decided not to have any children with her also anymore. Now they are married for 7 years... situation still the same, they already separated but she still staying at her husband house and paying for a rent. The husband probably going to file for a divorce soon. Her regret is why she didn't ask for her own lawyer before and she just did signed and agreed of whatever her husband put on the prenup contract.. coz of the thought that it wasn't worth to question it, coz she trust and love her husband. She got nothing from him.. not help not even a right to stay at the house unless she's going to give him a money as her rent ! What a De**h .

    Wish you the best !

  12. Just wondering if any of you here know that limit of transferring a money outside the US ? We kmow that both Xoom and Western Union is $3000. W are atleast need to wire a $12,000.00.
