  1. we are facing the same problem..i will have my interview on march 12 and my husband cant be with me at the said date so we called uscis to rechedule it..they gave me a reference number for the service request and made an infopass appointment for next week just to be sure..i know that it is supposed to our priority but there are circumstances that are excusable..

  2. just now i received a snail mail for my interview on march 12..though it was not transferred to csc as i wanted it to be i should have been happy coz it was fast and we had no rfe..but we will be in alaska at that time so i guess we had to fly back for the interview :crying::crying: ..just wish me goodluck ..i need it lol..

Look on the bright side of things, at least your case is coming along!!

thanks JillA!!i already called uscis and they said that if i want my file to be moved to alaska it will take 3-6 months.. :crying: ..and you're right at least my case is moving..goodluck to all of us!!

  3. if you are a k1 applicant you dont need to have a medical exam again..just have your vaccinations completed and have it transcribed to an I-693 by a uscis designated civil surgeon..i didnt have the skin test..im a december aos filer and i just had my biometrics done jan 6th and as of now i never received an rfe yet..goodluck..and im from idaho too..

what im trying to say about medical is the vaccinations and some other stuff, like blood test and including the skin test. as far as i know they got new required test now and new vaccine too, and i also read about it on some other forum like this. it just really confused me wih stuff like this, esp that we have son who is in k2. i just want to be sure for whatever we will doing. where and when did u had your vaccines? we are planning to go a dist health to get whatever we need, we are sched next week? thnx for the reply sis. and i wish u speedy process on your AOS.

i didnt have a skin test..all i had was the vaccinations from a public health clinic..and i only paid the civil surgeon $25 for transferring it to the I-693..

  5. im not an authority on this but i think that you will encounter some problems at the us embassy..a fellow k1 beneficiary had that problem too..the us embassy asked her to go on a second interview and her visa was denied because of fraud..it turned out that her fiance was divorced dec 07 and filed the petition just a month after..they told her that they shouldve waited at least 6 months..

dont get discouraged...goodluck and God bless!!!

  6. just the embassy notice will be enough..she doesnt need to bring a ds 156..also the $131 is the visa fee and not for the medical..she needs to pay more or less $213 for the medical exam(last time i checked)..and dont forget to bring 3 2x2 photos...

  7. i feel your boredom lol..just hang in there its gonna be ok..i know how you are feeling believe me..we are here in central mexifornia er california and im so flipping bored too..i have cousins there in chatsworth and winnetka and i heard that its much better there than here..

  8. The afternoon? Everyone says get there early and seems like I saw something like they will only accept 150 a day and that the first day tends to take most of the day?

me and my vj friends went there at about 2pm and we were done 2 hrs after..it is always full in the morning..many vj members told us to do just that and its proven..

  9. The medical is the easy part... pick a day... show up early! (plus bring all the required docs)

I'm more worried about setting the interview, since I expect it to be a month from whenever the interview date is requested, in that month there will be plenty of chances to go to the medical. I'm hoping that besides the extra delay in scheduling an interview (because they simply aren't there to schedule) we may be looking at a bit of an extra backlog as a result of them not being there for the holidays in general. I'm hating these holidays (well, mostly the combined holidays the embassy takes, I'm all for the holidays I personally get off!), I want to move on to the next step...

I don't know when my fiancee will do the medical, she won't have her passport until the 8th so it'll have to be after the 8th, is anyone aware of any days that tend to be lower number of people like wednesday or anything? It'd seem most people would want to go early or late in the week since they most likely have to get time off from work to do the medical.

try tuesday or wednesday..tell her to go in the afternoon coz its much faster...
