  1. yeah, I too noticed the gap has increased recently...Just like John & Flor, we got approved exactly when the timeline estimated we would, so that was wonderful. Good luck and hope your NOA2 will come soon!

Just to add a bit of humor....

Processing time is like Wine, the more time sit there fermenting ( sorry, I mean processing), the better it will taste at the end.....

Anywhow, Best wishes and a little patience....

    Ciao

  2. http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/metro-manila/09/06/10/briton-slain-over-philippine-internet-love-triangle

McDonald organized a party at Romero's home to ask for her hand in marriage, police said, but it was not clear if she had told him about her Filipino boyfriend, Anselmo Locastales, who turned up and attacked the couple.

Once again, there is always something the other side FORGETs to tell you !!!!!

    How convenient.....

Impoverished Philippine women often use matchmaking websites to find foreign husbands in the hope of escaping the country for a better life."

and most of you know that is major reason....second only to scamming.....

yes we can try to embellish, clean it, put some lipstick on it.....but the truth always hurt.....doesn't it?

And to the admin/moderator.....please lock my account once again....since you do not like what i post...LMAO

Anyhow this is a sad article...no matter how we slice it....a life was taken and other were ruined.....

  3. i guess that depends on what kind of "chicken soup" it is. if all you've ever had is Campbell's, then tasting even Progresso for the first time might seem like a treat... hahaha. just remember that it works both ways, though. all things being equal, women would prefer grade A angus beef over "chopped meat" if they have a choice. so yes, they will feel envious (not necessarily regretful) when they see women like themselves with younger, attractive men. there's nothing you can do about that. all you can do is take care of yourself and be a good guy. the good thing about being "mature" is that we should have less of an ego by now, and are [hopefully] more financially secure than a twenty-something. i wouldn't worry about it too much...

I Could NOT have said it better myself....I love when people foul themselves into thinking that AGE does not matter....

Same as SIZE does not matter eitheir :bonk:

  4. Your first TRIP.....???

I cant wait for you describing your trip when you get back home...LOL

No money will ever be ENOUGH (you will understand this part when you come back!!!, unless you learn really fast to budget yourself)

You will have a good time if you find a decent resort to spend some quality time, otherwise a "culture shock" will be a definite guaranteed for you in more ways then one...

Enjoy your trip and best wishes....

  5. sounds like a perpetualiazion of the urban legend that the US is a land of milk and honey...

I have been here for such long long time....and I still have not found eitheir...

especially the HONEY part....

  6. Complete hogwash. Such a bunch of BS deserves an appropriate response. Get a small box and fill it with a fish, wrapped into an American flag. Then ship it to them, so that they receive it within 4 of 5 days. If you want to crank it up a notch, substitute the fish for a dead skunk. For legal reasons I cannot suggest to get a finger from a mortuary, but that would be one cool package, don't you agree?

I guess the head of a BURRO is completely out of the question then ?

  7. As one member posted "I love putting the cart before the horse."

    Careful Planning is advised.

It is frequently reported that the divorce rate in America is 50%. This data is not accurately correct, however, it is reasonably close to actual. The Americans for Divorce Reform estimates that "Probably, 40 or possibly even 50 percent of marriages will end in divorce if current trends continue.", which is actually a projection.

The divorce rate in America for first marriage, vs second or third marriage

50% percent of first marriages, 67% of second and 74% of third marriages end in divorce, according to Jennifer Baker of the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri."

    Just some food for thought!idea9dv.gif

    Good Advice...

but most of the readers here, are in their HONEYMOON stage....because they have been waiting so long to be re-united, so they are seeing the world in rosy glasses at the moment.

My concern is, how many relationships actually survive after the 3rd-4th year....

maybe I am a bit biased regarding this, due to my own personal experience.

my best wishes to all...but being a bit careful today in order not be really sorry tomorrow is always a good advice.

  8. What do you expect?

    Kids in a candy store.

Last trip I made I met a 66 year old from Alaska living in the place we stay. On the beach and $500 a month with a free breakfast.

He'd walk by with a different young pinay about 3 or 4 times a week and disappear into his cottage for a couple hours.

They'd come out, jump in the pool for awhile, eat dinner and he'd send her home.

He seemed content at that time. He spent a lot of time reading in a hammock under a coco tree. He didn't hang out in the bar playing dice all day like quite a few expats did.

Hopefully his "dakine" hasn't fallen off by now.

    :wow: uhmmmm.....Interesting story.....when i grow up....I want to be like him :devil::rofl::whistle:

  9. ok first off the establishment here dont't like you asking question whats this site for I was told too many question ABOUT THE SAME THING how do u learn without questions? If any one knows anything about the sputnum test please send a message

    To answer your question

    Definition of "INSANITY".......

Doing the same thing over and over again and excepting a different result......

Human beings do that on the daily basis :rofl :rofl:

(we go to work every day, we eat every day , we go to the bathroom every day)

So asking the same question is not much different.....we always hope we get a different answer that fit our mood of the day...

Some of us are slow...some of us are fast....

Thanks to mother nature for the difference, it makes a interesting world to live in...... :star::star:

  10. The file doesn't stay at the embassy. When the beneficiary "fails" the interview, the embassy has to send the file back to the NVC. The NVC logs the file in and then forwards it to the original USCIS office that approved the visa.

    Best of luck to you!

Thank you all for the responses.....

Cancellation letter sent to the USCIS......

My concern was why it went to the STATE department....

i just hope that this will not "cause me problems" since SHE LIED to me and everyone else involved....

  11. Would it help to know that the Embassy/Consulate is part of DOS? "Manila US Embassy"

At any rate, eventually the approved petition (and I suppose denied visa application and related 'stuff') will make its way to USCIS.

Just to play it safe now.....I am sending a copy cancellation letter right now to all 3 addresses....

    Manila US embassy......

    Original USCIS address.......

and the State Department.....(if i can find an address anywhere....lol)
