  1. Hi jamster. Could you perphaps be referring to the DS-230 form? If so, here is a sample guide: http://www.***removed***/forms/ds-230-sampl...application.pdf

Here is PatiencePaidOff's (formerly lotsofpatience) link to the fastest NVC process: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136822

    God bless!

oops. wrong thread. my previous post was a response to jamster's inquiry. i posted in the wrong window. anyway, i meant to say congratulations!

For as long as the I-134 is original and notarized, then you should bring to the embassy. =) Btw, it's best to provide originals of COE and paystubs. Photocopies of IRS transcripts are accepted.

  2. hi everyone! i got a text from delbros today that i will be receiving my visa tomorrow or within 2 days! i'm so excited! thanks to everyone who gave words of encouragement and to those who graciously responded to my inquiries!

  3. hi pink, i hope and pray that everything will turn out OK and you won't have to postpone your interview. i feel for you. when i was referred to psychiatrist evaluation, i was deathly scared that it might serve as a deterrent to my visa issuance. hovering in uncertainty is a torment. but everything turned out ok. worrying about is normal, of course, but comfort yourself in the thought that this will definitely NOT affect your visa issuance. =)

i honestly believe that everything will turn out ok for you. only those grave communicable diseases are at risk of visa denial. this biopsy is just a small obstacle that you will overcome with flying colors.

will be praying for you! keep up the fight!

  4. I didn't get the white slip for document verification so I'm thinking this is because I paid for my DV 3 weeks before the interview. or would document verification only begin after the interview?

Thanks dbears. Will contact the USEM. =)

  5. thanks dbears. i'll call them tomorrow. or maybe next week, if i haven't received my visa yet. is delbros supposed to text me if my visa is on the way? i read other posts where delbros texted the applicant the same day as the interview. i haven't received a text from them yet. how soon did you receive a text from them after the interview?

  6. I've also been trying to check the status of my visa/passport shipment through their website but I don't think it's working. I always receive the message "Connection timed out. THe requested URL could not be retrieved"

  7. I wasn't given the white slip for document verification, just the pink slip. I assume this is because I paid the DV like a month ago. I texted delbros regarding the status of my visa/passport delivery but I received no reply. I tried contacting them to no avail.

I texted "tracking number status" to the delbros SMS hotline but I haven't received a reply in two days. What is the best way to contact them?

  8. There are embassy-specific rules, ie. here in Manila, the embassy no longer issues packet 4 and the beneficiary does not have to wait for the mail informing the beneficiary that the embassy has received the petition. In order to fastrack the case, the beneficiary can call the US embassy to inquire if they have received the case or not and set an appointment immediately - for an exorbitant fee or course (it's even more expensive than making a long distance call to the US). I suggest visiting the website of your embassy or posting this topic in the regional discussion thread. =)

Usually it takes up to 7 days for the NVC to mail the petition to the embassy, starting from the day the NVC actually forwards the case, not the day they receive it. In some cases, it only takes a couple of days.

    God bless!

  9. sometimes the USCIS website is unreliable. my I-129F status in the USCIS website is STILL pending, even though i'm done with visa interview in the us embassy and all.

i was talking to someone who hired a lawyer and spent around $5,000+++ for her and her daughter. there are a lot of VJ members who did not hire a lawyer at all and were just extremely resourceful. Visajourney has all the guides you need and should you have a specific question not included in the guides, the members who have gone through the same thing would be eager to answer your inquires. not only that, you can also use the search tool.

my hubby and i didn't hire a lawyer. we solely depended on visajourney for all the steps we had to take. and of course, fellow VJ members were extremely helpful. =)

of course, if you want everything taken care of by a lawyer without having to do research and all, that's a good idea too.

We hired a laywer for the k3, how many others out there did?

Also, when I see other peoples timeline it says NO1 Touched. How do you know it's been touched?

On the UCIS website I just know I'm in there and it tells me when its last been updated. But no updates for 2 months now.

  10. the psych will basically ask the same questions in the questionnaire. that's pretty much it. of course, he'd also ask how you got the scars. you basically have to assure him that you're way past that and you've emotionally matured since then. mine didn't take longer than 5 mins.

as for question 36, if you're on k3 and you're husband filed an I-130, it should be yes. I-130 is an immigrant visa petition.

Thanks Daisy

  11. this may be a long shot but if you guys talk to each other through YM voice (which is free service), you can save your recorded calls and just print your YM profile on the yahoo members directory indicating your screename and pic.

actually, i brought a bunch of phone cards with me to me interview which i was never able to use. if that's the only evidence you can provide (with regards to communication), then i suggest bringing it with you. your husband can perhaps draw up a notarized letter of explanation about the phone cards.

i know how you feel. calling using landline costs around P20/min over here, whereas using the phone card would only cost P3/min, plus its per second charging.

  12. pushbrk reminded me of perhaps the main reason why the co-sponsor was accepted. although my husband just started on his job, i provided his most recent paystub. Quoting pushbrk, "Although I have heard of pre-screeners not accepting a second I-134, in most cases it's the actual CO who denies the visa on public charge grounds. In this case, the petitioner offered evidence he can now support the beneficiary. You don't mention pay stubs (Perhaps the job was too new.) but the notarized job offer would appear to be the key to satisfying the public charge concerns. Let's not assume the co-sponor had anything to do with the decision to grant the visa. Nothing you say indicates that."

I think it's important to provide orginals, as the phootcopy of the letter of employment was not accepted. The notarized job offer and original paystub helped.

  13. Hi pushbrk. I forgot to mention. I did provide my husband's most recent paystub (original) indicating the annual salary and the rate per hour.

When I told them that my husband lived here for a year, I offered to show a photocopy of his passport indicating his departure and return date plus his biographic data page but the pre-screener said it wasn't necessary.

she also returned the letter of employment since it wasn't original (she kept the notarized job offer though). she asked for my husband's IRS transcript for 2006 since he had a certificate of no file for 2007.

the prescreener accepted my co-sponsor, although i've heard of cases where it was rejected.

Congratulations. I just want to comment on the above. Although I have heard of pre-screeners not accepting a second I-134, in most cases it's the actual CO who denies the visa on public charge grounds. Nothing you say indicates that.

Another major factor in this case is that the petitioner lived in the PI with the beneficiary for a year, so bona fides were extremely strong.

i've only received a pink slip. what exactly does the pink slip entail? i've read other posts that a white slip indicates document verification. i remember the guy from the USEM telling me that not all applicants are required to undergo document verification. so does a pink slip mean i skip the document verification process? how long does it usually take for the USEM to issue the visa/passport to Delbros for delivery? =)

    thank you so much everyone!
