1. I have been wanting to ask this somewhat of a stupid question. If the 130 is adjudicated prior to the 129, wouldn't the 129 automatically be approved as well? It seems that lately most of the approvals from both service centers are both petitions. Just curious as our 130 was touched three consecutive days at the end of May. This was after a couple days lag from tying the 129 to the 130 touch.

  2. Got some free time waiting for some quotes to come in, mind if I help search?

No, not at all :) By all means, knock yourself out...

Since you're CSC, maybe you can help fill in some of the CSC blanks as far as "member" name and "last seen"...

Thanks so much for the offer!!!

Got half a dozen already. You want a PM with them after a certain number? I had written a smart ### reply but remembered my humor doesnot suit all. You need a little help after all of this.

1 mo' you want last seen or last updated?

  3. You are right. I was wondering the same thing. Particularly for VSC December filers who have not been approved yet, since those are who VSC seems to be moving through now... I, like you, am wondering if people received their approval and then never checked back in with VJ again to update their timeline.

I checked on those that are not approved yet. Two of them were last seen 6/15 and 6/24. Also, I cannot find three of them. I wrote these notes in the "Simple" sheet. If anyone has any information they can add to make this more accurate, please post.

    JimAndCarol -

What do you think about, something along the lines of, if someone hasnt checked in, for say, the last 60 days, removing them from the chart? That is if there info wasnt completed.

I think those members who have created their account, started their timelines, then disapeared, I dont want to say contaminate, but render the statistics less than true.

IF they check back in and want to be included, then can do so....

Its much like a chemistry experiment and trying to keep out the contaminants..:) for a truer result.

It'd be still more work and having to go back and see who's been online in thel last 2 months...

Although it wouldn't be too bad as those with no touches and/or approvals in the last 60 days would only need to be checked.

The last thing I want to do is make more work......especially with all the work put into it....

LOL, you are talking my language now (ChemE major here). I could feel myself getting excited thinking way back to the distillation column experiement in Organic Chemistry Lab, trying to get the purest result... But I digress...

Yes, you are absolutlely right, and yes, it is a lot of work. There are two steps in the process:

    1. Find out the "member" names for all the missing blanks. The VJ timeline provides the husband/wife name, but for the screen names, I have to look those up.... That's why I was saying in my last post that "I cannot find three of the December filers"...

    2. Once I have the "member" name, check the last updated date for those who have not been approved or no have had no recent touches... I can add a column for "member last seen" or something to that effect.... I can filter out the ones that have not been online in over 60 months (if not approved already)...

    How can you help???

If you see your husband/wife name on the spreadsheet but the "member" name is blank, could you please send me your "member" name so I can fill in the information.... It is quite time consuming to go searching for the "member" name in here... unless there is an easier way that I am not aware of... (aka, you cannot search by husband/wife name; you have to search by K-3, VSC, Country.. and then check all the profiles that come up)

Thanks Birch for the suggestions. I will definitely incorporate your idea.

Got some free time waiting for some quotes to come in, mind if I help search?

  4. Carol,

Oh wizardess of the workbook! I hope for your sake that hubby will be allowed on B-2 next month. If not, does that mean the spreadsheet will become even more detailed?

I know that all of us waiting enjoy looking at the timelines and greatly appreciate all of your work. Thank you so much.

Is wizardess a word or has my Chinglish pervaded into my normal speech?

 Yes, you guessed I am new here, and still figuring it out. By the way the feminine of Wizard is Witch.

Apologize for the back to back posts, still having trouble with all this technology :bonk: .

Yes, I fully understand the feminine and masculine of a practitioner of magic. The inference was to that of Edison and Wooden, Menlo Park and Westwood respectively.

It was a slight attempt at humor but I see that between work and this wonderful process that my humor is gone.

  5. hi JimandCarol,

kindly update our timeline. WE GOT APPROVED TODAY!!

    PiNk :luv:

    Approved today!

    Congrats!!

Congratulations! It is great to see that someone with a relatively recent NOA-1 date received the NOA-2 this month. Very happy for you and may this be the final leg of the reunited tour :dancing: . You definately have been one of the more positive attitude posters in this forum and we wish you good luck for the future.

  6. I see..

I got on CFL today. I registered. I did not try to post on the forum.

I just tried to find the 2008 status of all applications, but I only found 2007 information.

Quite frastrated... I guess CFL is too sophisticated for me..

Hello and welcome to the wait that is. I do not think the level of sophistication is any greater or less with CFL. It's just that CFL is China and GUZ specific. I have been a member there for a short time and only asked a few questions, under a different screen name. TPC paranoia set in before I registered here, have no real reason to be concerned but it seems that it does happen occasionally. One of the topics actually had great answers to our situation.

As for the timelines, I know that recently there was a huge glut interviews for the people that graciously take care of the spreadsheets and drive the topics. We are K-3 and I continue to check both places out with too much regularity. This site allows you to see all of the good and the bad, consulate by consulate. As for our timeline, I am waiting for both NOA-2's before I take up signature space here or get on a spreadsheet there. Only been one month of waiting so I will hide out awhile longer.

    Good luck and stay active.

  7. I started watching the webpage many times a day after seeing all the touches but after this amount of time with no additional I made up my mind to only look at it once a day from here out.

I look at it too, but man, I hear you. I know that I will look at both the VJ site and the USCIS site more than once a day.

I started a tracker for this thread. It is not at good as the one that Thirdsjen made, but it includes touches. I just think the "touches" with everything would be an interesting thing to look at.

April/May/June 2008 Filers with "touches" tracker

I agree. I noticed from your Smileytime that I was last with my wife about 12 hours after you were with your hubby, too stinkin' long. I have less than 77 days until I'm back.

  8. I am just curious out of the April, May and June 2008 filers, who has been touched so far?

Well, our 129 was only touched once to tie it to the 130 on 5/22. Our 130 was touched on 5/23, 5/26/ 5/27, and 5/29. Nothing since. I guess that the adjudicators were passing the file around laughing at the pictures we submitted!

I started watching the webpage many times a day after seeing all the touches but after this amount of time with no additional I made up my mind to only look at it once a day from here out.

False hope, kinda like the Lakers jumping out to 15 point first quarter leads, ahem.

  9. It's June 15th. The Service Centers will update their processing times based on today. It is also Father's Day, Happy Father's Day to all dads. Any guessing when the new PTD will be? I am going with December 17th for CSC.

As for the Jordanian question of to K-3 or not to K-3, just a cursory look at both in VJ's timelines with all service centers available, does not seem to be a huge difference. Couple of very long timelines, also some short ones, so discount those as outliers and they both seem to be running around 11 months.

Decision has to be yours alone. My 1.38RMB says stay as IR/CR.

    Here come the Lakers!

  10. Next year for the Lakers, all right. i have never wanted to throw the remote that bad at my tv before. friggin' boston! you guys are way too good!! well, let's just say, they were a little bit more hungry for that championship than the Lakers. Yes, surprisingly enough, I do remember the 80's and 90's. i'm not that young.. plus, my brother tapes every laker championship..

Sorry, didn't mean to step on toes with any age reference. Not a fan of Boston, love Doc though. He was what players should be today. In the day, I was a Sixer fan. '82/'83 best single season champion that never gets talked about. They won 60 games, went 12-1 in the playoffs and had the most gifted athelete, prior to his Airness. Moses, Andrew Toney, Bobby Jones, Mo Cheeks, and the good Doctor, they actually played team ball.

I did what I could to not visit here and CFL this week as much as in previous weeks, too many sad tales, too many in much worse shape than I am. The only thing I am depressed/pissed about is that we were shuffled between para's for almost four months before the I-130 was filed. One of my favorite quotes is "The internet, not just for porn anymore". I used it to find an attorney but not these resources, hindsight.

  11. yay! see, cmnb? all it takes is patience.. it will happen. :) btw, what is your Service Center?

welcome, makaha and shiri! i'll also add you guys to the tracker..

Longbranch, remember how i said, Lakers in 5? ok, i changed my mind. LAKERS in 7. haha! or better yet, BOSTON in 7 cuz that's what it seems to be, according to the officials!! GRRRR!!!! they want this stinkin drama!!!!

Sorry kid. Maybe they will pull a Red Sox miracle out and do the "Never been done before". I cannot believe that Pierce can actually play the way he has. He broke many a Jayhawk heart two of the three years he was at Lawrence. I think it was more Roy, but that is another story. I guess that some maturity finally set in. It looks like the Lakers are a year too soon. Look out for the future with your boys. You may be too young to remember the '80's/'90's Pistons and Bulls. Had to lose to the eventual champion the year before they went on a run.

Congratualtions to cmnb. Glad to see that you are on the board. I too was one of the many touches in one week. Thought I was in the Divinyls for awhile.

  12. guys, they still havent cashed my check...and i still havent recieved my NOA1. i sent my application on may 27th. i am getting curious as to what is going on...should i be worried?

    cmnb,

Hang in there.....do you know the day your petition was received at Chicago lock box? Hopefully, this week will bring good news for you...

it was recieved on the 29th...but around the same time Chicago lockbox address had changed (according to the website)....i just got the USPS delivery confirmation on saturday last week...ive been checking my bank account every few hours to see if they cashed the check....ive never wanted someone to cash my check this bad...lol

If you look at the times from VJ it is taking 9 days at CSC and 13 days at VSC. I believe the little dude from Endor is working all of this in conjunction with making the estimations of when petitions may be apporved in the timelines a range not a hard and fast specific day. Not knowing where you will be headed it is hard to know which one you should be looking at.

Also if you look at the tracker sheet thirdsjen is keeping, the average of the people with listed NOA-1's is running 9 days. But then again some have as few as 2 days while there is at least one 20 day.

I took 8 days for NOA-1 but needed four additional days to receive a hard copy. I think you are in the mainstream for right now. I too would love to be one of the 3 week NOA-2 recipients but I am damn glad that I am not one of the two plus month NOA-1 people either.

Keep your head up and this too shall pass, as I believe others have stated.

  13. hahaha.. i want to say Lakers in 4 but I'll go with Lakers in 5.. just want the month of June to go by a little faster.. IT STARTS TOMORROW!!! and i'm off! even better!!

I will be in the Philippines around the start of the Olympics.. so close yet so far away.. no way can I see the Olympics. Too expensive! i've always wanted to go to China. don't know why I haven't. Hong Kong doesn't count. Did you know my grandma climb the Great Wall 2 years ago and I haven't?? ridiculous..

I guess that in the big circle of life it truely is ironic. I have always wanted to go to Bataan but never have. I am still hopeful that we will get to see many shots of Bill Walton and his current wife. Just makes me laugh every time they are on camera.

Hong Kong definately counts as a classic party spot though. A little Jim Rome "Classic".

  14. To quote Kramer when he was using the old set of the Merv Griffin show "..and we're back".

Thirdsjen, I may have been a little too quick with some statements earlier. If you were to look at your specific case as I did prior to losing the first draft of this, you may want to research this yourself. By filtering the K-3 and CR/IR-1 data by CSC and Philipines some interesting trends start to standout. The data I used has changed already as people are constantly updating their timelines.

The first 20 K-3 petitions that had an NOA-2 date filled in, produced 19 couples that had both 129F and 130 approval dates the same. Of these, 17 had/have an interview scheduled. The average from initial filing to interview was 239 days.

The first 25 CR/IR petitions with an approved petition, NOA-2 date, had only 9 couples with an interview date. The average time for these couples from filing to interview was 0.3333 days over one year (365.3333). I know for you ####### people out there with the leap year that it is actually 366 days this year.

Straight number crunching, no outliers, no standard deviations, just simple averages. I hope that anyone does not take this for anything other than what it is, a small piece of info at one specific time.

One more thing thirdsjen, ever wonder if all the people in Laguna Niguel are all Clipper fans?

hi Longbranch! I have done that timeline search over and over. I keep coming up with the same thing. K3 are getting through faster in Manila than CR1.. so why the heck have i still not filed? don't know. indecision. one of my weaknessess..

but thank you so much for your input! i just need assurances, that's all.. haha.. insecure too! i'll file the K3 monday. everything in the Philippines just takes a little bit more time than the usual. don't know.. the culture maybe.. look at me.. i take my time!

if they were all Clipper fans, then nobody would have gotten any approvals at all!!

OK young lady. here's your chance to call your shot, Lakers in 4? I hope it goes 7 as I need something to take my attention away from this ####### process. Only 92 days until the NFL kicks off. Luckily I'll be back to China in 87 days.

  15. To quote Kramer when he was using the old set of the Merv Griffin show "..and we're back".

  16. i'm bone tired. just want to sleep, but all these k3 approvals won't let me sleep! darn you! after hearing all the recent approvals, now my husband wants to file the k3. we so change our mind a lot! do you all think that if we file for k3 now that it is too late?

    [/color][/b]

Stay the course kid. I chose to go K-3 due to the processing times I pulled from here and CFL. The K-3 seem to get through the consulate a little quicker than the CR/IR-1's at Guangzhou.

I'm a numbers freak and also have sleep issues. I ran the number of K-3's that were at NVC stage last weekend. Of the first 102 approved petitions, 94 of them had the same 129F and 130 approval dates. One more had only one day difference. Not as high a ratio this weekend on the first couple of pages but after about page three it starts to repeat that both are being approved same time.

Sorry the wife finally calling back, gotta go

  17. Hello :)

I've sent my I-130 form and got the first NOA (form I-797) and sent my I-192f form a week after I got the NOA, but now I got I-129f Package back with a letter saying it was rejected 'cause I've sent it to the wrong address! can anyone tell me where exactly I can find the Service Center where the underlying I-130 petition is currently pending? is that address written on the NOA (form I-797) that I got?? or where? one more question, Due to the rejection of my I-129f Form do I have to do anything else rather than resending my Package to the accurate address?? do I have to start for the scratch and send I-130 AGAIN? Please Help!

    Thanks in advance.

It's either at the California or Vermont Service Center. Look at the 797 and it tells you which one. If you need that address just go to USCIS website or it's most likely listed here.

Should be able to just send the 129 to the correct place and you're back on track.

    Good Luck

  18. hi all! just wna post something i made.. hope i did it right.. please let me know if i made mistakes so that i can update it.. gotta run!

    SPREADSHEET TRACKER for APRIL/MAY FILERS

Had a wild hair and checked the USCIS website just now and they actually touched our 130 today. Knew they were working flex schedules but this is getting better all the time.

Longbranch- how do you check on the USCIS if they got touched?

    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

Should get you there. Upon receipt of your NOA-1 they will assign a case number and you will be able to setup the entire account. I did not try to establish an account prior to the NOA-1 but you may try it and see if it works. Then all you would need to do is assign your case to your account and watch it every hour like the rest of us!

    Good luck
