  1. the past 2 weeks have been so great!

USCIS allowed us to move our interview date to an earlier one because my hubby needs to go on a short term deployment on the date of our original interview date which was july 22. i was interviewed last july 8 (which went by good and fast!), and they stamped the i-551 on my passport. then i flew out for a vacation 2 days after. last july 10-13, i received emails from CRIS that my card production has been ordered and that the approval notice has been sent.

then last night, when i got home from my 2 week vacation, i received good news in my mail. i received 3 welcome notices and my green card too!!!   and just this afternoon, i got the USCIS booklet!

just spreading the good news too! and i am hoping that those who are waiting for their interview dates, green cards and approval notices will get great news soon! :)

  2. for quite some time i am looking for news to make me happy!

USCIS allowed us to have an earlier interview date so as not to be in conflict with my husband's short term deployment on July and August. they were really helpful and nice. (our USCIS office is in Mt. Laurel, NJ) so instead of July 22, 2009, we'll have our interview on July 8. 2009. that's a week from now!!

just sharing the good news. :D

  3. Your case is way too late to transfer to CSC. So, forget about that option.

Next thing for you to receive an Interview Date. Believe me your case is very normal timewise.

Where is your local office Mount Laurel, NJ or Philadelphia ?

    GOOD LUCK !....

thanks cino! your message is really comforting.. i hope i get the interview date really soon! my local office is at philly, that's where i had my biometrix. oh btw, i checked your location in contrast with mine, you're just 30 mins away! at last a visajourney contact within my area!

  4. So today.... I was coming home from work and my hubby was waiting for me on the porch with great news!

He received a letter from homeland security asking him to appear for his AOS interview on 4-21-09!

Its hard to believe since we filed all the paperwork on Feb 9th 2009. So in 2 months, 11 days we'll be interviewing!

I guess if they give us an approval on that day, we wont be needing the EAD or the AP!

Wow.... I can't believe it!!!! I guess living in the boonies has some advantages after all...

    Is that fast or what?!

ohmigosh! u are so lucky! i filed my papers 1st week of feb and i am still waiting for my interview schedule.

  5. what happens if your case has not been transferred? i submitted my AOS feb 4,2009, complied with the request for initial evidence (for form i-864) and eventually got my EAD last april 14. but up to now, still with no information on my case whether it has been transferred or not. no interview schedule too. filed my case in the chicago lockbox. i can not even find my case online. people at the USCIS call center are of now help tpp since they can not find my case. #######?!

i hope to hear definite and specific actions from you guys.

    thanks alot!

  6. i am asking this question in behalf of a friend who can not post questions in the forum despite having a visajourney.com account (well that's a different problem)

uscis has sent her an rfe for i-693. but the problem is, she has no more copies of her vaccination documentation worksheet because she submitted her original copy when she filed for AOS. she was able to receive her EAD card and the rfe for i-693 arrived after getting her EAD card.

what should she do and what are her options?

    thanks a lot!

  7. hey guys.. maybe some of you can enlighten me on the following:

i have no idea whether my case was transferred to CSC or not. i actually have NO IDEA where my case is right now. i just assumed that i am with VSC because that's where we applied for my k1.

so i got my EAD yesterday, no transfer letters so far or other letters after my biometrics appointment last feb. 24. i can't even find my case online or via phone through the USCIS toll free number. i have also read on alot of posts that they were able to talk to a customer representative about their case. but when u call the toll free number, there is none among the given options that connects you to an actual person to talk to!

i wanna track my case badly! i tried registering an online acct with USCIS, but they won't let me add my portfolio as my case isn't found online.

i'm at a loss and wandering in the dark! sheesh. :crying:

  8. i just got my EAD in the mail  and i was wondering when will i receive my green card too. maybe some of you guys could give me a ball park figure or share your own time lines. thanks!

You will have green card once you are approved on your AOS interview. Did you get your interview schedule yet? or some here got a letter from USCIS stating that their AOS has been transferred to CSC if you'll get this notice then you'll not have an interview. In my case I received my interview schedule first before my EAD card.

no interview schedule for me yet or letter that my case is in CSC,. currently i'm with VSC...

  9. *are the immigration staff friendly?

*is LAX a good POE (based on personal experience if any..)

*i have 3 hours and 30 minutes until my flight to Atlanta from LAX, IS THAT ENOUGH TIME for immigration process/clearing?

*do i get my bag BEFORE i head for immigration (POE interview or something) or AFTER?

*do i need to check in my luggage AGAIN for my flight to Atlanta? my plane to LAX is PAL and my flight to ATL is delta.

*do i also need to check in my luggage again for my ATL-durham flight? i'll be flying delta to durham-raleigh airport.

*do i need to pay for excess baggage from LAX to ATL and durham since this is already a domestic flight? (considering the domestic flight baggage allowance..)
