  1. That is true! I wouldnt say that these are mismatching answers though? Only that the answers on the DS 160 will be more comprehensive as they also ask for all nationalities on that form whereas on the I-129F there is no such instruction... However, this is a good reminder to document everything and think of every possible question. Thank you for taking the time to reply! Thank you for taking the time to reply. This is reassuring.
  2. Dear community, I am seeking guidance regarding the I-129F form. I hold dual citizenship in both Sweden and Mexico, however, I am born and raised in Sweden and all my documents are from there. I realized that I only put Sweden as "country of citizenship or nationality". It didnt even cross my mind to include Mexico there too. I think it is due to the way the question was phrased. Is this a serious issue at this point? Is there a need to correct this with the USCIS? Or will it be enough to disclose all nationalities when I fill the DS-160? Thank you in advance!
  3. Hello, We are about to submit out I-129F application (!!) and are reviewing the packet. I am wondering about the format of my foreign divorce decree and its translation. I sent a scan of my divorce decree to a court certified translator and had it translated. The translator printed the decree double-sided as that is how the court issues it. The translation itself is one-sided and the documents are bound together with string. I see that USCIS explicitly asks for single-sided and documents they can easily disassemble. What should I do here? Should I disassemble it myself? Copy the bundle and submit the copies? Or send it in as is? I would greatly appreciate some guidance here Thank you very much/ Linn
  4. Thanks for your input. So, filing with the correction without the stamp is likely to generate an RFE?
  5. We dont have a timeline yet as we still did not submit anything. I am a Swedish national but living in Czech Republic and the divorce decree is from Czech Rep.
  6. Hi there! My fiance (the petitioner) and I are compiling our K1 petition and I have a question regarding the requirements for my divorce decree. I have the original decree as a scanned copy of the certified documents, which means it has a stamp, albeit a scanned one. However, the court made a mistake on my ex spouses nationality, it states the "republic" instead of "commonwealth". The court has amended the decree now and I was sent a digital copy with no stamp. They cannot serve me the certified copies until my ex has been served first. He lives on the other side of the world and it is taking its time. The entire court process for the amendment has been painfully slow. So my question is, could I file the I-129F package to USCIS with the non-stamped scan of the amendment and simply write a note that the certified copies will be provided at the embassy interview? Or is this approach likely to generate a RFE? I am super grateful for any insights! Thanks!
  7. Okay, so for the adjustment of status, id need to have the documents apostilled?
  8. Hi there! I have searched online for hours and hours including in this forum and have gotten none the wiser. So I thought i could attempt to get the info by making a post. Is there any fellow Swede here that knows if the Personbevis needs to be apostilled? If yes, only for the visa interview? Do they also accept the Personbevis if you present the English version that Skatteverket provides and stamps? Ive read that some people had to request it in Swedish and then get it translated... which makes zero sense! Thank you so much in advance!
