    Hi ritz,

  2. Hi VJ Marjorie,

We are in the same boat i guessed..we got an RFE to for not submitting my 2 photos...thats our reason too ksi wla sa checklist ng NVC..though if u willread thoroughly meron nga at kailangan ...anyways..lets just hope it wouldnt take longer...Everything has a reason..So lets just hope for the best...Goodluck to us...Stay positive...We can make it...

  3. Hello Guys,

I know this question is really not unusual question that has been posted, but probably I will just ask for a clarification in this matter because of the situation in our case as CR1...Like i have mentioned befoe..we seeked for the help of an agent in our papers...because before i really have no idea of how the paper goes like this until I found this site that has been so helpful for me to understand what we are going through now..We filed this January 2008..we have been approved approximately about April(I1-130)taking the CR1 route since we were informed by the NVC to start the processing of the CR1 but our original plan is to take a K3 visa..sinced our 129f remains pending..so now we are in CR1..Now,we have the case number with the instruction packet to our lawyer to obtain the other documents needed for the review by the NVC...I just want to ask..I frequently reading about the AR thing after the interview regardless they paid a month before their interview already..will it be ok to pay the DELBROS now that i have the case number? or shall i wait for the notice first from the embassy? When is really the best time to pay the DELBROS for the embassy to have the enough time to verify the documents?Lastly, how much will be paid if on our case we are married..will BC and MC paid as one P650..or this are two documents so double amount?Thank you in advance with the reply...Goodluck to all of us!!!!GOD BLESS!!!

  4. U may have an early medical exam at st lukes when u get ur case number or approval. If ur doubting about ur health, u may have pre-med as what lei said. diseases like Hepa and tb takes time to cure...

also, better have the vaccination at st luke, anyway it's included in ur fees.

    goodluck!

Thanks felnfrank..Maybe i will just wait for the medical sched for my vaccinations...

  5. :)

    PS

And yes, MNL is your case number. You may call USEM call center, 1-909-101-7878 to ask them if they received you papers from NVC. If they do then you can schedule your interview appointment. They will send you a confirmation letter via email. I'm K1, I was instructed to get my medical exam anytime after I get my confirmation letter (via email). I dont know if it will be the same with CR1. You may ask the one you'll be talking to, with the number I gave you.

Thank you Ms. Lei for the response to my post..I am a public school teacher so basically i deal with different kind of people too especially the kids..and I know u are aware on how is it going in a public school...Kids came from different areas..so i didnt know myself if i deal with people who are sick or not..so i was just thinking of having pre med so then i will know ahead of time if something wrong with my health or not..Anyways, as u informed me about the vaccines..I have an aunts and uncle who are physician too..but they are OB Gyne and Pediatricians..so they were asking me if to ask about if they can do the vaccination to me ..but since you said its included in the fees then maybe il just wait on my Medical appointment to have those vaccines and have a pre check up like xray prior to the medical sched..Again, thank you very much... :)

  6. Hi guys,

We have sent the documents to our agent already...By then we will just wait till when the case will be completed in the NVC..which we do not have an idea (hoping soon.._We do received an instruction packet from the NVC thru our agent....it has like MNL........... is this our case number?s this means after they review our case they will forward it in Manila Embassy? My other question is.. f this is the case,is it ok to have a pre medical check up before I receive the appointment letter of the medical..Will there be no problme if i will have the vaccines already as I read about one of the requirement..Is it ok to have it in other doctors?Or all the vaccines will do in the day of Medical?Does all the vaccines needed included there and no extra payment needed?I have thought of this because i have read some VJ members suggesting to have a pre-medical check up so just in case you do not know you have problems there is still some months that you can do something with it..but im not sure if this is applicable in all cases like the CR 1.Thank you in advance..Good luck to all of us!!!God bless you...

  7. You have to put your name like it appears in your passport...When i had my interview, all my form were with my married last name and the Consuler officer asked me if i change my name legaly because the name should appear like it is in my passport...because the visa is going to be in your passport and the visa should be the same that in my passport.

    CASHEL

So the answer to your questions are:

Put whatever name appears in your passport.

Send in originals of your documents. (with translations)

Send only a copy of the bio page of your passport.

Thanks steve y jessica..there names that will be seen in my passport is my maiden name and also the affidavit that i applied for an amendment as married too...so there is my married name as well..is that no problem?

  8. You have to put your name like it appears in your passport...When i had my interview, all my form were with my married last name and the Consuler officer asked me if i change my name legaly because the name should appear like it is in my passport...because the visa is going to be in your passport and the visa should be the same that in my passport.

    CASHEL

Thanks cashel for the attention u gave on my post..The name on my passport is single since i have it since i was single and its far to expire yet so what i did is an amendment for it as married already ..because of saving time to renew it and also for its fee again since its just a one year old passport only...so i still have 4 years to use it so then i decided to do an amendment only..so there my single name and the amendment that tells my name as married name too...is that ok...thanks

  9. Looks like someone may have screwed up on the original application showing your maiden name as the beneficiary and not your married [new name].

my application was also the same... i put my maiden name as primary name and my married name as the alias or other name... the prescreener corrected me but says that its ok since i put my married name as the alias...

learn from my mistake... hehehhehee... try to correct the mistake by making it right in filling up your ds 230 :D a few months more and you will get to see your visa :D

Thank you very much sis :) ...Sana nga magdilang anghel ka at hindi magtagal we be able to get it done....Thanks again..Godbless you

  10. Thanks belay for the reply to my post..Im glad to read here na ur interview was over..for sure its just be needed few days pero positive approved ka na nyan...U will be wth you husband then and be happy always...

Can i ask again, yun bang letter from the NVC na dumating sa iyo o sa inyo ng husband mo..single name mo rin ba nakalagay? Will there be no conflict if i will use my single name in DS230 regardless single name ko as visa applicant is my single name?Thank u for the attention u spent on my post..Godbless u

  11. Hi guys,

From the very first time i discovered this site by just browing on my own here on net..I found it very helpful and i told myself this will make my waiting easy to handle knowing there are also many like me who is waiting to be with their loving husbands, fiancee and family...I really thanks this site..

By the way, with the development of my last post ...Im happy tonight friends here ... We got an email from our lawyer now that has been sent by the NVC in compliance with the requirements needed...that was stated there all the needed papers me and my husband should forward then...Shall i just give a photocopies of eachof the requirements?Or its better if i will give the ceritified copies like my BC ,our Marriage Certificate.how about my passport..i should keep my passport with me right..so i will just send photocopies of it right? And as the NVC letter stated..my name there as an visa applicant is my single name..is that how it works?even we are married already? :o If then..what shall i put in my DS230 as my name..will it be my single name too?I just have a little confusion with this..and I went straight here believing all this questions might be answers with many co VJers here ...Any suggestions or answers will be taken as a big help from u guys...Thank u and Goodluck to all of us!!!.God may bless us..

  12. Thanks for the info..but what can we do now since we forwarded the cheque already and our lawyer told us its in the NVC by now..are we just going to wait?I hope its not late that i can do something to have the answers from the NVC..thanks again..

At this point, I would call the NVC to ask what's going on - although, technically, it could take weeks for you to get the form so maybe you're still within normal processing time.... Call 603-334-0700 and then follow the prompts (have your NVC # handy) to try to get an automated response regarding what step in the process your case is on right now - that is available 24/7. OR you can call M-F up until 12 midnight EDT and press 1 and then press 5 in hopes to get a live operator to ask about the details.

Since you've already paid for the AOS, I don't know that there's much you can do to speed up this part of the process...

However, you'll get the info you need about the faster online process if you look at lotofpatience's thread on the electronic payment system here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=127253

I would suggest you look into the idea of paying for the IV Bill online (it should already be invoiced if the NVC has accepted your choice of agent - which, I guess, is your lawyer) ...

Let me know if you have any other questions :)

    GOOD LUCK!

Thanks VJ rajee for the info..but my question..since we got the choice of agent..will still be ok if we are the one who will call NVC and asked when we will probably get the AOS form..or it will just be our lawyer to do that...I already told my husband to at least call the lawyer and ask about the development of our case..it is ok right that we sometimes ask or folllor up..we try to give all our trust with them but it might help maybe if we will at least remind them about our case..will it not be sound we are getting them in a hurry...Im sure u understand our case as its hard being apart and sometimes its like we do not know how much hope we will spend for this ..its just so depressing..Thank you again Mr. Rajee...Take care...

  13. Hello everyone ..Being newbie here in this site makes me feel im belong..maybe because i know i am one of the people here in a situation of waiting for the time to be with their man or woman of their life..Anybody here can give me at least an idea which takes longer in processing between k3 and CR1..we told our attorney to process a k3 for us..though he filed it in two ways..as k3 and CR1..now we are approved in our I-130 and 129f remains pending until now..instead to be happy..we have questions in our mind now if this will be good or this will makes us wait longer than we expected..we got a notice from NVC telling us to pursue the CR1 now...we cant do nothing but follow.. so thats the path of our papers now......pleassssssseee i need to be enlightened because day by day its getting harder for me and for my loving husband waiting to be in each others arms..any idea would help..Thanks..Godbless... :innocent:

Yes, the CR1 is definitely the best bet. I don't even know why they have the K3 process...it sounds good, like it will get you together quicker but the CR1 always gets processed faster...you see it all over this site in the timelines. The K3's are just clogging up the system and making everything slower. They really need to revamp their system...big time!!!

It is true that with the CR1 its better...because yes, your spouse will come here as a legal permanent resident...but if you have not been married for at least 2 years when the visa is issued, your spouse will be a "conditional" permanent resident. Once your spouse comes here and is in the US...90 days prior to the 2 year anniversary of entering the US you will have to file a form to have the conditions lifted so that your spouse can then become a legal "permanent" resident...period. As a conditional resident your spouse can work, get a ssn and card, etc....its the same...but you just have to do one more step to get the "conditions" lifted when you come near the 2 year anniversary of being in the US.

    Hope that helps.

Don't get frustrated...it's easy to do with USCIS. It will take a while and although NVC is "snappy" compared to USCIS, its still more waiting when you are done with USCIS. I don't know how good you are with paperwork...but you don't really need an attorney for any of this stuff. Every answer and support you could ever need is right here on this site and its so easy to do.

    Good luck! Deb

    :star:

    Thank you very much..

Since your I-130 has been approved first and you've begun pursuing the CR1, that will be the better route for you and probably the fastest because when the I-129f will be approved is still unknown.

The CR1 visa is much better as well, so I would be happy about that. :) The foreign spouse can enter as a permanent resident right away with the CR1. With the K3, you would have to do adjustment of status (which is basically another $1,000) and there are complications with getting an SSN, getting permission to work, etc. So keep on following the CR1 path with the NVC and you can ignore anything you may get in future about th K3 visa.

    Thankyou very much...Godbless!!!

  16. Hi everyone..Im just having a question on my mind now  ..how long really it takes before you get the affidavit form that needed to be filled up by the petitioner from the NVC...My husband sent the payment to our lawyer as we have hired to lessen the mistakes we might have in filling up of forms..but as i read in forums here it only take few days to receive the forms and send back to them after to start the process again....where as in our case its almost a month now since we paid and yet we havnt get any from the NVC..What do u think is the problem here? This really confused me...I will appreciate your views in this case..God bless us all...
