  1. Hello everyone!!!I decided to post again after being quiet for sometime here in the JOURNEY...I chose not to say anything about the case before due to the depression I felt because of the delay that we got after my medical at St. Lukes due to the extension of waiting and undergone sputum test and need to wait for 2 months ..which was like equivalent to another year of waiting to be together with my husband..I will be honest that it wasnt easy for me to talk about it..and there were alot of questions on my mind before..why should that happened..but it helped me too.. to realize and somewhat look at the bright side of that delay.though I ready myself also of the truth that I might be sick and I have wanted to be cured too if ever so it became easy for me to accept..plus with the help of alot of friends here who gave inspirational thought and messages...Im really thankful for you guys..But then, God is really good and He made me realized that there is always a reason for whatever happening on your life...He touched me to open my mind that as long as i have entrust all my faith with Him that He will make ways and He will make things happen in real  ..Things went okay for my medical after 2 months of waiting and I was rescheduled for a new date of interview on November 7...I will not elaborate anymore how was the interview went or the questions that have been asked to me..let's just say she really tested me how well I know my husband..but even me I wasnt sure how it went though I have heard my consul said"WELL MA'AM IT SEEMS THAT EVERYTHING IN YOUR PACKET IS IN LINE"... :) so i picked up her line and assumed I passed the interview though she was so unpredictable...unlike the consul in the other side booth who I have heard being so joyful...but I had the good feeling when I went out the embassy...and just to add on it for info please prepare a MARRIAGE INDEX on your hand on your interview day...you can never tell..but in my case I was asked for it..good thing I read it here and got from NSO right away because so happened the pre-screener looked for that paper to me..she even told me.."let me see maybe its just a marriage certificate" and when I showed her..she said "yes this is the marriage index..very good!" So,to those who are in K3 and CR1 visa..there will be no harm to be overprepared than sorry...It was really a big help to read posts here and learn because I just read it one day and there was something in me that never stop me to get it right away even it costs too much to get it just delivered I chose it for convenience...because I think it helped me to received my visa after 2 working days from the time of the interview...so then I told myself "WOW I REALLY PASSED!!!" because I had some apprehensions still after the interview..but God didnt make me feel that too long because I got the visa and it was so fulfilling...and we both happy..I know there will be alot of paper works still by the time I am with my husband but just to be able to be with him I know we can make it again..with all the prayers and guidance from our Good Lord...Just lift it up to HIM...So to those who are still on the process of getting their visas..for sure you can make it too just wait...patienty wait for it...

I also want to extend my BIG THANKS to all the people here and all your posts..it serves as a big help..also to those members who I got to befriend with...who answered my questions from the time I started my membership here until now..and those who answered my personal messages..thank you so much...

  2. hello ryanandgracey...yes do not worry about the the same dates posted there..you can have an early medical before your actual interview...and it is really advisable to really have an early sched for medical just in case of whatever the result will be..like in my case i had mine a month before my actual interview..and so happened i had to undergo sputum and i have to wait for 2 mos. .so instead of December i just waited till NOvember and now done with my interview..so have medical at least few weeks before the interview..Goodluck to you!!!

  3. I do not have interview date yet and not sure when will i have since I got the problem on my medical and still waiting..but this is something that would really alarm us..This is definitely another burden for the applicants....especially the k3 and CR1 cases...and to those who havnt have their interview yet becoz every now and then there are added documents that we need..I inquired at the NSO about it and the operator was not even familiar with the acronym CDLI..and i told her about Court Decree something..and she said mostly those people who have the legal issue on their documents are the ones who need that verification and you can directly ask about it in their office...Whatever, still this is another pain if happens..so u cannot request for it through ONLINE so you will really need to go in their office...Lets just hope that we will not encounter this in time of our interview especially those who do not have legal issues in their documents..but thanks to our co VJs who are definitely a big help to let us know about this so then we can prepare for it....LETS JUST HOPE FOR THE BEST..

  4. Hi Vj tedjen,

Dont worry if the letter you got was under your maiden name...I got my letter too under my maiden name and i called the USEM about it and they said that will not be a problem..Just remind them on the day of your interview that you will be using your married name on your visa..and they will check again for sure your name on your passport that will be the name on your visa too...Good luck to us...Godbless :)

  5. CONGRATULATIONS SIS!!!STAY HAPPY..GODBLESS!!

Finally the long wait for our inteview has come: SEPT. 10, 2008 @ 6:30am. I have 6 kilos worth of solid evidence w/me today AND THEN, it was ironic because they only asked our pictures and remittances! U can just imagined how heavy carrying 6 kilos all the time plus w/ a 5 yr-old makulit na bata pa. Anyways, though many have had a very different interviewing experience than me, it is quite true that we had a very nice pre-screener named: MAE window 18, and she was very accommodating and considerate. My consul however was a young american woman in her 30's or early 40's! behind window 27, and she indeed looked like Princess DIANA! She was very soft spoken and when she looked at our pics taken from different tourist spots here in phils. she said: WOW! He's a very handsome guy... (she said so with a very wide smile.) I said: "Thank You maa'm" LOL! She browsed everything one by one, then she looked at our photo album on our wedding and stated more than twice; oh dear, he is handsome, and the 3rd time: He is handsome smiling looking on our wed pics (nagka-interes yata sa asawa ko, is it because my husband is a latino? w/ evenly tanned skin and nice body built?) me and my child looked at each other and smiled everytime we heard her comments. I felt relieved though 'coz my prayers has been answered to have a good and nice consul and not the mean/evil one. Our interview only lasted for about only 5 minutes, the ff:

Raised your right hand BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!

    Who is your name: RSAG

    Petitioner: my husband, ORG

    When did u meet: July 03, 2006

When did he visited u: Aug. 31 to Oct. 01, 2007

When did u get married: September 17, 2007

What u like most about ur husband personally: (seems she is very interested with hubby! hahahaha): I go he is a very loving, understanding & caring person. He loves my entire family spcly my child, he likes our culture and he gladly adapt it, a good provider and God fearing and loves to eat RICE coz of ME. Consul said: "even if he is a U.S. Citizen? He must dearly loves you so much.

Do u know the personal background of your husband: He was a former Head Correctional Officer, Florida Estate Prison; a former Sergeant E5 in the Army w/highly confidential clearance, a Licensed Realtor and currently working as a Senior Sales Manager Timeshares Company.

How much he sends you monthly support? $xxxx

Where is the Father of the child? Passed away In what year? 2004 Do u have a Death Certificate?

She gave me a Pink and a White Slip and the white slip not because of my DV but for doc x1 verification regarding the death certificate of my child's father and I was sure glad I was able to reproduce the NSO death certificate and also showed it to the Consul when she asked for it, otherwise I would of had to reproduce additional documents. Though, it shouldn't be that way coz I never marry my child's father di ba? but still she wants to authenticate the validity of such docs. Im positive & confident we will get our visa sooner or later USEM kept our passports and asked to pay delbros for visa delivery.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to those V.J.'s who prayed for us and wished us good luck during the entire process leading to this DAY! our BIG DAY!. Thank to everyone of you that left me offline messages and even called me to ask how the interview went!, Also thanks so much to those of u whom never tire of answering my never ending questions  NAMELY: boyceedith & dear; 0opink0o (Dian, na mas excited pa yata sakin na mainterview ako), hannyperez (ang friend kong lukaret sa vj); prettynpink (pim na maganda & very cool person); Shape & gurl (my bestfriends sa VJ); jegu ryu (pretty & sexy Ann); Pushbrk (help me alot when Im still a newbie); marieford_20 (kaya mo yan sis); marjorie; cassanova21 (thanks for ur help), kennethea (thanks for always being a friend to me); mamalou (noa2 is coming); amorsiempre (ur cool & kind); mhal2008 (thanks for the word of wisdom & moral support); MJ3lasvegas (Jov, i have a great time reading ur pm's); Nimfa & Rodge (I enjoyed my time w/u guys); lostgurl18 (thanks for the tips/infos); MARIA (salamat sa tawa at kasiyahan); shaman_goddess/iloveyou16; dbears (thanks sa concern) & OFCOURSE TO MY EVER LOVING, KIND AND SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND & NIKKI. 6. Congratulations syo pink...Im happy another VJ success story..though I am not happy today for the reason I had medicall and unluckily I need to undergo sputum test...for whatever reasons i do not know yet nobody knows but the LORD....Bhala na si God...but CONGRATULATIONS...

My husband and I are soooooooooo happy!:dance::dance:

I arrived at USEM around 6:30AM (my schedule was 7:00). the friendly guard asked for my appointment letter and ID then he asked if i have cellphone, i said "i don't have it", then he said "how about ipod?" i jokingly replied to him "i don't have ipod but i have playstation here with me :D ", then he just looked at me and smiled.

Everything went smooth and easy (from passing the DS Forms upto finger scanning) til i reached the pre-screening. I thought the pre-screener was nice and friendly caz she started to greet me good morning. She then asked me to hand her the NBI Clearance, Marriage Certificate and Birth Certificate but then she became rude when she saw that the receipts were still attached to the papers. She asked me "why do you have receipts here? are you going to reimburse this papers?" but then i answered her in a nice tone "oh sorry caz i thought it is needed". The second thing she asked for is the Tax Returns (2007) and Affidavit of Support. She asked me on why is it the Tax Returns has only 2 pages. I nicely replied "that is what the IRS sent to my husband but i think the 3rd page you are looking for is at the back of the 2nd page" she looked at the back of the paper and never said anything. I was waiting for her to ask the W2s but she didn't asked for it instead she asked me questions:

    1. What is the petitioner's name?

    2. What is your name?

    3. When was the first time he visit you and until when?

    4. When was the last time you saw him?

    5. When did you get married?

She wrote all my answers in a paper then after those questions, she asked for pictures and emails. I gave all the pics and emails that i have and then she asked me to go to the waiting area. I thanked her but again she never said anything. when i sit back to the waiting area, I almost burst out from laughing remembering the reimburse thingy lol! I told myself what if i answered her "can i?" :P lol!

My number flashed on the screen and it says window 32. i was like "Oh my! the famous window 32!! " lol! The CO was a young pretty american girl. She never smiled or even looked at me (nasayang lang ang facepowder at lipstick ko! lol!). She greeted me good morning then asked me to raise my hand and swear that i'll tell the truth blah! blah! She asked me these questions:

    1. Where did you meet? ---- We met in Yahoo Literati.

    2. What is that? ---- It's a Yahoo game.

    3. What's the petitioner's name?

    4. What's your name?

    5. How old is your husband?

    6. What does he do?

    7. How old are you when you get married?

She browsed at the emails and pictures that i submitted while asking me those questions. After that, she told me to go back to the waiting area and wait for name to be called. It only took me 2 mins in the CO room :D i went back in the waiting area wondering if i passed or what caz the CO never said anything. At last my name was called and I was asked to go in window 37. I GOT PINK SLIP ONLY!! WOHOOOOOOOOO! I wanted to shout bec i am so happy but then thank God i was able to stopped myself or else the guard will kick me out of the embassy lol! woohhhoooooooooooo!:dance::dance: i was teary when i got the PINK SLIP caz i know i'll be with my husband very soon! :luv:

I wanna thank all the people who helped me. I also wanna thank Sheriiff for the helpful guide  I met Marjo2008 in the interview, she is friendly and nice. She is also got pink slip! hooray for her!!!

Praise God! :star: He is so good! :star: WOW! i still can't believe that this is it! I will be in my husband's arms very soon :crying::luv:(L):dance:

  7. I had my interview last August 19, 2008 and I got the pink slip :dance::dance::dance: . I had a friendly pre screener and a soft spoken consul. I went there at 6AM and got done at 11:30AM.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marjorie, Riza, Vannesa and to all of you my VJ family for all of your tips and guidance. With all of your advices, I was more confident on that day. And most of all, Im thanking God for everything.....HE is good all the time!

For the future interviewees, wear your smile and show your condifence.

Now, I will have to wait for my visa.

    Good day to all!

    CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!!!

  8. We had the same case--my passport was ammended, I also wrote a request to NVC prior to my interview telling that my name had change to my married name. NVC acknowledged it just before my interview was done.

However when my interview packet arrived it reads my name when I was a single--stil.

I don't mind it, anyway my passport was ammended, they should not contest me when I fill up SLEC's form using my married name. Aside from NVC recognized it, I had my passport ammended and I can use it legally and in any aspect. So I did use my new name which is my married name when I fill out those forms and so as DELBROS when I paid doc verification and shipment.

Just be confident to use the married name now, you'll get use to it. Smile.

    God speed!

However using the married name linked me to some problems (which is solved now): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2040221

wow!!Thank you sis blairbitxh..I found someone who can answer me..Thanks God!!!!Anyways I sent you a personal message...hope you dont mind..thanks for the help..Godbless you...

  9. i really don't know how to address ur concern i had my passport amended also but when i submit my papers its all in my married name..u should be using ur married name and u can call the USEM to see if u can change ur last name there since i suppose u applied as married and submitted a marriage certificate so they can change it on their system..good luck! (F)

    Hi prettypink,

We have the same interview date Sept. 29..I was planning to have my medical too as early as by next week...then I asked one of the friend here filiricans...(GOODLUCK SIS!) who is currently having her medical if the SLEC is open on Monday sinced its holiday so medyo free ako from work then I will suppose to go there..but she said..SLEC is not open on Monday due to holiday..so if no hassle on my schedule I will go there on tuesday....Goodluck sa atin....God is good all the time...SIYA na bahala... :)

  12. I was planning to have an early medical before my medical at SLEC..now i think I wouldnt need it as everything will be included there in the payment anyways...

Just for additional question..daisychain sorry to bother you about the question but since you have done with your medical I believe you can help me with this...I am under CR1 category but in the all application my name appeared to be my married name but regardless that I still got the appointment letter in my single name..how will I fill up forms during medical then ?My name as applicant in the appointment is in single name..Shall I still put my married name??Thank you for reading this..GOdbless...

  13. i had my interview scheduled today at 7am. got to the embassy at 530am, had to walk all the way to the other end where the waiting shed to wait til my appt time was called. the skies started to darken and soon enough it started to rain. i had to buy an umbrella and take shelter by the waiting shed which made my miss the call for the 7am appts. luckily, i heard one of the vendors telling someone else they had to wait coz they have only allowed 730am appt holders. i rushed to the entrance, showed my appt email, my drivers license. went into gate 2, had my bags scanned and patted down by the guard. went into the *blue* room and was directed by the guard to take a seat on the last row. waited until we were called to submit the dox (156, 156k, 157, appt email). given my # 7034 and sent back to my seat to wait to be called for the finger scan.

they had to redo my finger scan like 3 times coz it wasnt coming up clearly. finally sat back down to be called for the pre-screener. my pre-screener (window 20) was very nice, amiable and friendly. he makes jokes and he very kwela =D. i enjoyed talking to him since he kept me at ease and i wasnt nervous at all. he asked for pix, proof of relationship, evidence of support, my nbi/birth cert and cenomar. once done the excruciating wait began. i kept waiting and waiting and waiting and didnt get called til almost 11am or i think even past that.

i went into window 29 *actually its a room LOL*. the consul was very nice. she had me swear to tell the truth then started to type, look at my file and ask me questions:

your fiance has an unusual facial hair

where and when did u meet

how many times did he come to see u

when was the 1st time, the last time

have either of u been married

how many times has he been married

    why did he get divorced

were all his ex wives american

do u think being friends first is impt

why did u decide to get married now

what does he do for a living

    does he have any kids

    how many and with whom

    have u met his kids

does he live in a house or an apt

then she looked over everything and said everything looks fine, your visa is approved. just go outside and wait to be called so we can give u instructions on how your visa will be delivered.

i told her thank q and i wanted to give her one of our engagement party favors but she deferred and said they are not allowed to accept anything from applicants.

so i went out and not even 5 mins went by i was called to window 38, the guy gave back the pix, the emails/ims but they kept the evidence of support papers including the paystubs, tax returns etc. he gave me a pink slip and advised me that my medical expires 29Oct and if i am still here at that time i will need to redo my medical.

i proceeded to the delbros counter and filled out the delivery form, paid 250 and that was it!

i met jhen (gabrielle08) inside, actually she approached me coz i didnt even see her, i was way in the back and she was in front and she recognized me. thanks sis for saying hi =D

thank q Lord for blessing me and mike today !!!! thanks to all the vj family who helped us along the way and we hope we can count on u again when we do our AOS.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

  14. Don't volunteer information. If they ask tell them its a lipoma and you plan to have it removed at a later date. The point of the medical exam is to prevent infectious disease (diseases you can give to other people). A lipoma isn't infectious so you shouldn't worry.

Also, it might be better (financially) to have your surgery/biopsy in the Phillipines. Make sure your husband checks into (1) when you can be added to his medical insurance, (2) if there are any waiting times or exclusions, (3) if the specific procedure(s) you need are covered. Just thought I'd mention it in case, many time people think something is covered and its not.

big thanks to you reeses16 for the time reading my post and replied into it....May God bless you...thanks!!!

  15. Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing good...Anway, I have thought of posting here again due to some of what I read about their medical experiences at SLEC during their medical....I have the thought about it because I anticipate having a medical anytime though i am not sure when because I do not have any idea idea when our papers be forwarded here in Manila from NVC after it is completed last July 14...probably by September...I just feel worry and I really need an advice..I read some posts about they undergone medical and had questions about the scar like that..and there was a case that has it due to a surgery from her lump..I have a lump at my back..when I went to a surgeon he told me it is so called "lypoma"..Though he even had hard time to check it because it was just too small...but I feel that its getting bigger than it was though not that big..maybe it just gets bigger since it is located in the side of my body that maybe trigger everytime i wear clothes..My husband knows about it and he wants me to have the surgery when I get there in US(In Gods will) not here..I know there is palpation during the medical..Will I be honest to the doctor and tell her I have lipoma or will I let her see about it...Will you think this will cause me a problem in time I have my medical...Shall I undergo surgery now to remove it before my medical ??Please advice if this will cause us delays in time...Though I hate to think of that..as my husband and I really wishing to be together again very soon...I know there are people there who can give good suggestion as I am now starting to worry about it...Thank you in advance...God bless you all..Goodluck to all of us..

    Hi There sis,

    Good Luck sis!

thank you sis micah...i assumed that is your name...salamat ha..worry lang me dahil sa mga nabasa ko na posts...Im just thinking if i willl have the surgery then I will have to wait for the biopsy again they might ask about it right..once they see that i have scar there and had surgery..thanks alot...

  16. Hi Everyone,

  17. For the DS-230 form, does the copy of the biographical page of the passport and police record have to be certified? I did not see that on the instruction form. It only says that the marriage and birth certificates need to be certified? If anybody knows the answer please help. Thanks in advance.

    Happy.

I sent the photocopy only of the biographical page of my passport no need to be certified....and the original copy of Police clearance...which I still have an extra which I will bring in time of the interview just in case they ask about it again..I think it is wiser to always have another copies of all the papers you sent to NVC in time of your interview just in case they ask again..Thank you..hope that helps.Goodluck!!
