I have a question for form I-864. My husband is a disabled Veteran and we've received an RFE regarding the Affidavit of Support. It says they can't confirm if his income is above the poverty guidelines. Since the amount we added is only the annual amount he receives for the year (above 125% poverty guidelines), how can we reflect that in the form?
Initially, on this part, we checked retired and added the his annual income. Or should we have checked unemployed instead and indicated $0 on the annual income since VA benefits are tax-free and he is not required to file for W2.
Should we add the VA benefits amount in Part 7 instead and submit the evidences? Thank you for your help. We greatly appreciate it.
