That's right. But they visited you after you got approved. That's the odd thing.

i received an email from uscis that my card has been ordered but today the immigration people came to our house to look for me and my husband but were both at work so my mom was the one who talked to them, isnt it kinda weird for them to check up on us when they approved us already?

That seems strange.

Did they say what they were looking for? What questions they were asking?

Well after a RFE and an interview last week, I've just received the greatest email:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

Congratulations!!! and have a great Christmas!!!

Yet, today in the post to which I was responding I read your words, "I didn't force her...etc." That was my point. That's an excuse. You didn't give her an alternative so she felt obligated to do what you say you didn't force her to do. The combination of your actions resulted in an abused wife. So, stop with the "I didn't force her" and "I neglected" and replace them with things like, "I behaved like an idiot." etc.

If you're smart, you'll get those AOS papers completed along with all the supporting documentation and the check, mark them for her signature and drop them off for her with a letter of apology that includes words, like "I'm sorry I behaved like an idiot" etc. Forget about not having the money. Find a way, just like you found a way to get her to your home to cook, clean, care for your kids, care for your mother and the congugal stuff. Get it?

About the AOS papers.........I think he is afraid of I-864.

I would also plan to back off a bit. The situation you describe might be interpreted as very close to servitude and your post-fallout actions fall very close to the definition of stalking, in spite of your elequent excuses and rationalizations for doing so. This is just from perusing YOUR side which does not take your wife's feelings into account at all. I have sympathy for both of you but at the same time I do not think a reasonable person would interpret your decision making in the train of events you described as being in the best interests of a shared marriage.

Fraud goes (2) ways, if you represented yourself and your life together as something different than your wife's actual experience could that be a form of fraud? ARRIVING here is only a fraction of the immigration process, and it sounds like, from what YOU say, she did her part and more. Assuring your wife a minimum quality of life once she got here is still your responsibility and in that she has been let down hard and badly.

IF this were my sister or one of my daughters I think I would expect you to honor her wishes and leave her alone if she wanted to be left alone. If you were still stalking her I think you would be encouraged (with prejudice) to give her time to get herself together. Sorry dude for your loss it sounds like the signs were all there and there were a few chances to stop, back away, and regroup along the path. Lots of guys lose someone they care about because they are controlling, insensitive, and can't cut their umbilical cord (not pointing fingers or judging just musing that things like that can happen).

Oh my heavens, I have found out terrible things about Shelter Homes I did not know about before.

It seems these Shelters trap poor women, and force them to stay for funding using intimidtion, threats, and brainwashing methods.

Maybe my baby wants to come home, but they are threatening her in some way?

I can almost bet that they're bribing her "being out of status" as a method to keep her from coming home to me--threatening to deport her if she doesn't "accept the program."

Your story sounds very tendentiuos, like you are trying to picture yourself as an angel in love.

My intuiton does not let me believe you are indeed that caring, understanding, loving, genuine e.t.c. husband. Come on, take off the mask. You are writing this story here just to create an alibi.

I have complicated situation here...

I got married and then (to cut long story short)we divorced afterwards but before removal of conditions(I-751)...then I had to file a waiver based on abuse becasue at that time my divorce still was in process...but what if I get divorced while still pending for USCIS to process my case?...my question is...what If I really love someone else and want to marry again?do I have to wait for another year(almost I think thats how long it takes right?)until my old petition has been adjudicated or I can cancel that and file new one based on my new marriage(also USC)....so confused..please someone help...I would really appreciate any inputs on this one!thanks and have a blessed day...

You do not have to wait, you can marry anytime. The problem is, that the new marriage will terminate your current green card-holder status and you will have to start the process all over again by applying for a conditional green card. As long as I know, you will have to wait for your new green card at your home country, which sometimes takes about one year. The other way is to hire a good immigration lawyer and try to stay here while waiting for the green card. Good luck!

No. It is not true. Your status is legal for two years from the date your resident card was issued.

Besides all the papers you mentioned, you will need affidavits from relatives and/or friends, that state your marriage was real and they knew you as a happy couple. You need ANY evidence you could provide to covince USCIS, that the marriage was in a "good faith", but it simply did not work. Also, You need to find photos, e_mails, letters, love notes and any other written evidences, that you could use to demonstrate you had strong love feelings for her. You will need all of this, so the more - the better.

If thete is a letter from the USCIS, it only could be a letter-response to her report about you left her/married her just to obtain a citizenship.

As I understood from your post you are not living anymore together. Did you report the change of address to the USCIS?

If not, then you should do it immediately because of two reasons:

1. Not reporting the change of address is a serious violation of the immigration law and it could lead to deportation;

2. It is important for you, that USCIS have your current address, so they can contact you in case there will be an investigation, because it is against your interest for you to stay away of the process.

Also, do not give any information to your wife about your intentions. You may need to record some talks with her, that you may use in your cause /think abouth the different kinds of psychological abuse........./. At any rate, be creative , think what you can do to protect yourself against her actions.

At last, there are a good lawyers and I am positive, that you will make it, just do not let her manipulate you.
