  1. Please see my latest answer/comment on this. I think you should consult an attorney.
  2. So this issue, made me consult an ex consular officer, even if you have changed field it is still fine. The consular officer said so long that you show intent at interview that is what that matters. NIW is a long process, people can lose their jobs before interview, I saw on reddit when someone lost his job just 1 month before interview and he got the green card visa. Telling people so long they are in their field they should be fine, What happens to people who are not in their field of endeavor? It will create unnecessary anxiety to them. I reviewed most NIW interviews here, there are a lot of people the consular officer didn't ask whether they are in their field of endeavor at interview. Please If you are no longer in your field of endeavor, consult an attorney and ask how you can handle it.
  3. Please @appleblossom, what would make them think that. If the person applies for job in his field and come with Evidence of such job application, I think the person should be fine. Life can happen and make people not to be in their endeavor during interview
  4. @Canadian24, thank you, but what happens if the person is no longer in his field of expertise.
  5. @Canadian24, Please do you know why they keep asking this question " what do you do for work" My instinct tells me they want to check if the person is still in his field of expertise.
  6. A very big congratulations. I tap into this success
  7. Hi all, Good afternoon Please for people preparing for Consular interview for Eb2-NIW. (1) When did you start looking for jobs in the US to make intent. Is it before getting interview letter or after getting interview letter. (2). When looking for jobs in the US, do you have to state on your CV that you are in Canada or do you state you are in the United States so that recruiters can be interested in your profile. Thank you very much, Regards
  8. Good morning all, How often does someone need to log in to his NVC portal in other to keep the case active Also how often does someone need to contact NVC via public inquiry inorder to keep the case active( from NVC email, it says maximum of 1 year but I want to know the recommended one here for this group). Thank you.
  9. @Canadian24, thank you so much. Please can someone add my details on the spreadsheet
  10. Eb2-NIW, PD March 23, 2023, my PD is current got DQ in July 2025. I tried to add my timeline but I couldn't edit the spreadsheet. I spoke with an ex Consular officer, she said I can expedite it, but I just want to know if someone else here has successfully expedited his case. On the spread sheet one person expedited his interview. Thank you
