  1. So now I'm just wondering if it will affect our filing of Removing condition?

You will be removing YOUR conditions, not "OUR" conditions. It is YOUR filing. Keep that in your mind first and foremost. The conditions are on you, on your status here in America.

If your husband is beating you, you need to document as best you can all that has happened. Your conditions can be removed without his involvement. When conditions are removed, what weighs heaviest on the decision to remove is whether or not your marriage/relationship was bonafided. So, as long as your relationship was bonafided, you have no worries.

I'm sure others will pipe in with more encouragement.

So sad that you think the love that you have for him will overcome the issues in his past that makes him resort to violence. One sided love will not fix anything and likely the more devoted you are, the more he'll feel enabled to beat you.

  2. Hello to all of my dear vj family,

I already got my visa last Feb. 24. It was delivered in my hometown. Just this afternoon, I intend to come home to check the entire envelop. Something got me confused. I hope you can help me figure this out:

    1. The envelop contains my passport with the visa and there was this yellow envelop which has a warning sign "DO NOT OPEN". I was wondering that on the upper corner of this envelop it has a cut which I can almost see some of the documents. Is this normal? Or should I return this to the embassy.

    2. I am about to attend my seminar at PRISM on Monday. One of the requirement is Immigrant Data Summary. Where can I find this document? I thought, this is included in the packet together with my visa?

Thank you in advance for your time. I will really appreciate your help.

    God bless :star:

I suggest you to go to ST. MARYS for your CFO simenar, they didn't ask the Immigrant Data Summary. By the way, this is my first time to hear about Immigrant Data Summary.

    Good luck...

GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BE WITH YOU ALL THE TIME...

  3. Start with a lawyer who has handled adoption before, because anything else you hear from anyone probably won't fit within your situation. You'll need a lawyer anyway and maybe some cash for brides to get the process finished as quickly as possible. Well connecting lawyers are expensive, but they can move things through the system faster than a cheap lawyer who doesn't have any connections. Get your check book out! :)

I've "heard" that if a child's parents are alive, the process takes longer, because the parents must legally surrender their children. You being in the USA better hope they don't want cash for giving up their kids. I doubt the process is easy without a well connected lawyer, but if you love them as much as you say you do, really miss them as much as you say you do, really want them as much as you say you do, nothing will stop you from pursuing it.

    Good luck!

  4. My fiancee who hasn't driven before is driving my car from the passenger seat both in town and on the highway so just learning to look ahead in the distance instead of looking at the lines 5 feet ahead of the car which new drivers seem to do.

She has done well with this, but she is still getting down the long slow curves in the road. She wants to turn more than necessary into the curve and then turn out of it but she turns out of it too much so then she turns into the curve again... over and over again! I tell her to turn and hold it so she is getting this down now.

After she is good with steering while I have the gas and brake, I will take her to an empty parking lot to learn. There are plenty of empty parking lots on Saturday and Sunday and on any evening.

So far so good... I don't recommend a driving school. She'll be ready for the parking lots next week.

If anyone teaches their spouse to drive, teach to the book, the drivers manual or else she will fail the driving part of the test.

  5. "We will be leaving on Feb.5, 6:30 am via Northwest Airlines (MNL-NAGOYA-DETROIT)"

Congrats and be sure to buy lots and lots of warm clothing (if you can find in the RP), because Detroit is super cold and clothing in the USA is a lot more expensive than in the RP.

    Congrats!!!!

  6. just go there.

My fiance will go to St Marys on Monday. Does she need a reservation? Or can she just drop by and attend?

Yeap, just go there. The first CFO seminar starts at 8:30 so get there early and get it done. There are 2 more sessions after the first so if she misses the first by a few minutes, she can wait for the next.

  7. Sunday morning is here and it is the day of my Thanksgiving Mass to give thanks to God for all of my blessing before I leave the Philippines. After Mass I'm having 88 friends and family over to our house for a big catered feast... I really want to spread the joy and give hope to all those around me. I hope they get the feeling that good things can happen to them as well and that good karma goes a long long way.

The count down continues... monday, tuesday and a wake up.

My fiancee tells me that I will land in America before I leave the Philippines and I said, what? I leave the RP at 10:00PM on Wednesday night and arrive in America at 6:30PM on Wednesday. OMG, that is too too cool.

  8. As I go to sleep on this Thursday night I have Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, and then OH MY GOD I wake up to get on the plane to Manila then America!!

Hello San Francisco!!! :) Goodbye Iloilo!!! hehehehe

  9. As I go to sleep on this Wednesday night I have Thursday, Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, and then I wake up to get on the plane to Manila then America!! So that is 6 days and a wake up. Yea, I'm so excited.

Wow, how slow the time goes during this process, but how fast is goes at the back end. It is all worth it.

    God Bless everyone!

    Hello Jim...

Our interview was on November 25 and the Visa was at my house on Thursday, December 4. Delbros didn't leave my Visa, however since I was still in Manila with my fiance. I came home (Iloilo) on Sunday, December 7 and on Monday, December 8 I went to get my Visa from Delbros.

So November 25 to December 4, it takes only 9 days from my interview date.

I will go to Manila on December 17 for CFO and then take 10:30PM flight to San Francisco, California on the same day.

  11. Hello to everyone...I received my visa today at 10am from the Delbros Office in Iloilo    I have a nice feeling, I'm excited and very happy. :) :) :)

Good luck to all of us.

    God bless us all.

God be with us all the time.

    Good for you..!

By the way, when you were still waiting for your interview at the embassy, when did u paid DELBROS for the document verification fee? Cause I paid mine last Nov. 18, 2008 and my embassy interview is on Jan. 9..And I got a message from DELBROS today that they are refunding me of the said amount. Is it possible that I paid too early for the document verification fee?

    Hope you'll help me..Please?

I paid my DELBROS last October. I got also a text messages from DELBROS that they will refund my 650 pesos. Actually no need to pay for 650 pesos in DELBROS because u will pay again 250 pesos in DELBROS inside the embassy. Sorry i forget to post about that friend.

Good luck for your interview...GOD BE WITH YOU IN YOUR INTERVIEW...

  12. Does anyone know the address to St. Marys??

    Thanks Gene

Forgot to also ask what paperwork she needs to bring with. The paper she got for the cfo is not quite legible.

(Photocopy of a Photocopy, etc, etc)

CFO is my next stop so I hope someone answers the paperwork needs even though it is available on CFO's website, I like hearing it from people who have been through the experience too.

    Thanks and God Bless!
