  1. My case is not more than what I presented . My parents brought me here at 9 years old via a B2 visa. At 16, I got Daca, and my dad applied for a visa for me at 20. (no multiple entries , no felonies , no immigration law violations other than overstaying my visa as a minor) The whole point of DACA is to protect childhood arrivals from deportation, not necessarily to allow people to stay while adjusting status . DACA does not give us any "lawful status" in the US . We just get protection from deportation and work permits . Multiple DACA have adjusted in the US through "immediate relatives" ( once a child turns 21, they're no longer considered an immediate relative -my case). Every other DACA recipient that is applying for a visa without being sponsored by an immediate relative has to undergo consular processing. I'm on a DACA page where a few members with legal entry have had to go their country in order to get EB2 and H1-B visas. Thank you ! I'll keep y'all updated on my case.
  2. I have less than 180 of accrued lawful precedence since turning 18 so I’m not subject to a bar . I entered on a B2 visa when I was 9 and got DACA at 16 . The only other I could adjust in the US would have been if I was getting a green card via marriage or a child over 21 . Or if I had parole in place . Please enlighten me on any other option I'm over looking. P.S. I initially submitted an I-485 , back in 2020 which was denied due to me not having a status to adjust from . Our lawyer initially told us we could adjust when we started looking into fixing my status back when I was 17 years old . We didn’t actually start the process until I was 20 years old .
  3. Yes , but I’m currently on DACA which means I don’t have a valid status to adjust from . I can only adjust from an immediate family member category
  4. No I can’t adjust status since I’m in the F2B category. Even If I got my passport back , I wouldn’t be able to fly back into the IS without the Visa .
  5. Hello All , After a 9 year process, I finally have an interview date for my F2B visa interview in Accra Ghana. My only issue is that I already live in the US on DACA and have to fly back home for my interview in a little over a month. I have a full time Job here and cannot be away from my Job for a month for this interview. I took off 3 weeks from June 30th - July 18th. i will land in Ghana on the 30th at 9:00 am and plan on going straight to Akai House for my medical that day. The US embassy in Ghana suggests doing the medical 3 weeks in advance, but I will be doing it 10 or 9 days in advance. From people who've done medical in Ghana , how long does it usually take to send the results to the Embassy? if I get a 221g, how long will it take the embassy to issue the visa? thanks in advance
