While I am still waiting for my fiancee's part of the I-129F package, I was researching other things and came across the Verification of Unmarried Status that is part of the interview documents. What the hey is this? Can anyone out there enlighten me on this piece of the puzzle? Where would one obtain such documentation? She has never been married before, there fore there aren't any divorce papers to show. Thanks in advance....RexT

When the embassy finally sends notice to benificiary along with forms and schedules, are they in their native language or are they sent in English and she has to have them translated? Thanks in advance. RexT

Has anyone dealt with the Alien Registration Number box at the bottom of the G325a form? My fiancee does not have one of these to my knowledge...why would she? It state to Applicant: Be sure......I know I don't have one and I am the applicant on one of these. What is up with this? Anyone know? Thanks in advance....RexT

Through an arranged meeting in Thailand, I met my now fiancee in January of this year. I was there for three weeks. I went back in April and bought her a ring and was officially engaged in a ceremony that included her family. We are planning a traditional Thai-Buddhist wedding, which is not recognized as legal, in January 2009. I want to start the K-1 visa process now, but have questions concerning the "within two years having met" part of the I-129F. Does that mean we have to wait around for another year and a half before we can apply? Thanks in advance for any info on this.
