  1. My fiancée went to her Interview Appointment at the Manila Embassy on 7/15. At the first stage, her documents were checked and two mistakes found. 1. Incorrect father's middle initial on CENOMAR & damaged birth certificate. 2. She was given a yellow slip with a checklist, instructed to acquire the updated documents, and reschedule the appointment. Two questions: Once she gets the updated documents: 1) Does she need to do VAC/Biometrics again first, and the Counselor Appointment second? Or straight to Counselor Appointment? The usvisascheduling website has not populated the appointment schedule, yet, when it does, maybe that will answer my question. 2) The yellow checklist has two QR codes, "Scanning and Uploading Instructions" and "Rescheduling and Register Delivery Address". We have never used the CEAC system to upload any docs. Our email from NVC in response to Inquiry Request back in May stated document submission was not required for this type of case. Since it was not required in the past, it is probably still not required, correct? She just needs to bring the physical documents?
  2. My fiancée raised this question after I already sent her the paperwork, I had not thought of it. "US Citizen" is the first box and obviously makes sense because I am a US Citizen. However, "US National" is maybe more applicable, as I never applied and received my citizenship, but was born in the US. Kind of a confusing question. Technically I am both, maybe it doesn't matter one way or the other. Any thoughts?
  3. Going back to the basics, can I just confirm: this process, the CFO-GCP, happens after the interview, correct?
  4. Thank you so much for that information. Can you answer a few follow up questions, please? -My fiancée is the in the Philippines, is that also where yours was? -We are currently preparing for the interview in two weeks, I am not exactly sure what CFO counselors are and what the CFO-GCP session is, can you explain? -In the event an FBI records check is required, is the petitioner required to get that, and how? -Same question for the CENOMAR.
  5. Beneficiary is bringing a police clearance (NBI police clearance) to the interview. The Petitioner does not also need to provide one, does he? Thank you.
  6. Thank you for the reply. One other question: the NBI police clearance is required for the applicant, but is it required for the petitioner?
  7. We were hearing from some people they weren't sending out Welcome Letters. We filed an inquiry and got our case number, in the CEAC our status is READY. We already set up VAC (biometrics) and the Interview. QUESTION: However, I am now concerned about two things: -Do I need to log into the CEAC? I cannot do so without an invoice number, which is on the Welcome Letter? What if there are instructions there, or I need to upload docs? -Also, what is the K1-FTP she is supposed to bring to the VAC and Interview? Can that just be the status READY page?
  8. How does the beneficiary indicate if they use a nickname for their given name? The option for other names requires you to write other "given" name AND "surname", but in my fiancee's case it is only her "given" name that is the nickname. Her surname is the same. I am left with only three options: write her normal surname in "other surname" and include the nickname; write "none" in "other surname" and include the nickname; or not include this information at all. Neither of these options seems the most ideal! Anyone else have this issue?
  9. Hi, My finacee and I were trying to set up our account on ustraveldocs in order to schedule the interview and biometrics. We were having a lot of trouble because the username she set up was not working, until finally I figured it out (for some reason it turned out to be her first and surname). Then it asked the security questions, I answered them, and immediately got a message the account was locked. To unlock I am supposed to contact the site owner. What in the world is going on? Has anyone had this happen? The only reasons I could think of was that I wrote the security answers with capital first letters instead of lowercase, or that my fiancee and I were both attempting to access the account at the same time from different computers. I'm concerned now. I don't know if it is a good idea to just try to make a new account, since we already used her name and our email address setting up this locked one. Is that an issue? Should I wait until Monday to contact the support at ustraveldocs? There is not even a "contact support" on the actual account part of ustraveldocs. Somewhat distraught, hope someone has some info on this. Thank you.
  10. Hi all. As the title says, I am asking about the question 19 on form I-134 about contributions to my Beneficiary that I, the Petitioner, intend to make. I would like examples of how other people have filled this out. How much detail and what type of wording is required? Something like, "I, John Smith, the Petitioner, intend to provide the following to Jane Doe, my Beneficiary: 1) Safe and appropriate housing at 123 Oak Rd, NY, NY 12345; 2) Any essentials my Beneficiary needs to sustain a comfortable, safe, and healthy life, such as food, clothing, recreation, and transportation." The I-134 Instructions are silent on this. Also, from examples and discussions I have seen online, the 2025 version of the I-134 form is substantially different from previous forms, including for this question. I greatly appreciate concrete, specific help with this question! Thank you.
