I'm sorry, I'm new to the website and there are several things I don't understand yet, like looking for interviews from other people who could help me. On the other hand, I still don't have an interview date, but I know that it is the next step to follow, so I would like us to arrive prepared for that day. The lawyer has suggested that I apply for a waiver but I understand that it makes no sense if the deadline is in September.

Good afternoon everyone, I would like to ask you what the consular interview with the United States Embassy is about, since I have asked my wife and when checking our procedure a message appears that says that she is currently "in the visa office" so I understand that the next step will be the Interview. My wife has exceeded 180 days of illegal presence in the country, but less than 12 months, for which our lawyer has told us that she should apply for the forgiveness (which expires in September of this year). I would be very grateful if you could give me advice, tell me how the process works, etc. thank you so much
