so should we apply again or wait? it has been a year and half since the interview.

its refused (not denied), and they had asked earlier a year back to submit some docs which we did back then, but no reply since (is this admin processing?). Hence the ask to inquire about the case status from the senator etc.

Im here. I did ask Sen. Ted Cruz's office and they said visa was refused. I guess we should apply again.

Hi, We (I am in the US, but parent is abroad) applied for B1/B2 visa in 2023 for the parent, had interview in early 2024, however no reply received so we wanted to ask senator to ask for case status at the State Dept. The website for TX Senator Ted Cruz asks for a privacy form and a letter outlining the case. https://www.cruz.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/ussenatorcruzimmigrationprivacyformfillable.pdf A few questions about the form etc here: Who is the petitioner and the beneficiary in this form linked above? Am I the petitioner and the parent the beneficiary? I guess ill put State Dept. info on case number etc where it asks for USCIS case info etc? The record being asked for is for the parent, so should I sign this form? How long does it take for the senator to reply and get the case status etc? Thanks
