Hi, my husband and I have lived in his home country in Latin America for over a decade. We have a house, two kids in school, and are well established here. He has had multiple tourist visas and we've visited my family several times over the years. His current visa was issued for ten years and expires late 2026. We'd like to visit my family in June for a few weeks during the kids' summer vacation. However, he recently quit his job and is still looking for other opportunities. I didn't think it would be an issue, but a friend who works as an immigration paralegal told me he shouldn't try to visit without being employed, under the current administration, because they will think we want to stay and deny his entry. I feel like as a family we have good strong ties to his home country and a history of making this sort of trip, but wanted to ask if anyone has had similar experiences under the Trump admin?
Thank you!
