  1. Congrats! I was approved too 😊 Just to add to experience above, mine was also really smooth and easy. I had a folder with tabs identifying each document so it was easy to pull out what I was asked for and it really did make things easier and the person at the first counter seemed to appreciate it. The interview was fine, he asked about how we met, how much we’ve seen each other and what the plans were for the wedding. Then we chatted a bit and it was like a casual conversation, nice and relaxed. Later that day my status was changed to approved. And the following Monday was changed to Issued and I got the email saying my Visa was issued. I actually flew out on Friday to the US. The CBP officer looked at my envelope and asked if I was on a visa and I said yes a K1. She asked me if I had any food, alcohol, tobacco etc. She then brought me to the back room and I was called up within 5 minutes. The officer just asked my fiancé’s name and reminded me that we had to be married in 90 days, then stamped my passport. All in all it took no longer than 10 mins. Hopefully you get your interview soon 🙂
  2. Thank you, good luck 🙂
  3. Yes that’s why it’s confusing. CEAC has the case under immigrant visa and communications from Dublin Consulate (through the immigrant visa unit) refer to Immigrant Visa. To make a K visa interview appointment in Dublin you also have to go through immigration visa option.
  4. Yeah once you pick the immigration option you’ll go through and there’ll be a K visa option. It is confusing that it’s referred to as both non-immigrant and immigrant depending on the site.
  5. Yeah I had an issue where it kept reverting to the sign up page even though I had signed in. I ended up changing my email address on my account so I could then create a brand new account and that seemed to work.
  6. We got our interview appointment today for beginning of July!
  7. Ok so same as mine. Hopefully I’ll at least get the interview before the medical expires.
  8. Just out of curiosity, was there anything in your instructions specifying how you submit your notice of readiness? As in a subject line to include or anything? Or was it just to email DublinIV?
  9. That’s good to hear! We still haven’t heard anything. I’ll post here when we hear back. I think we’re going to try sending the NOR again but also concerned it will put us to the back of the queue somehow. It’s hard to know what to do.
  10. Thanks, yeah I’m really hoping we hear from them soon. It’s the not knowing how long it will be that’s the hardest part. For the police report, the first one they sent didn’t include my middle name as in my birth certificate so I asked for a new one and I’m going to bring both to the interview just in case. I also don’t think the medical will be an issue for you as I also didn’t get a response when I told them the date it was scheduled for.
  11. I tried calling and the only number I got through on went to the visa interview scheduling department. They said that I would have to wait until I was contacted with instructions to schedule an appointment and that there was no way to contact the immigration department other than by email. He also said they will read the email but probably won’t respond. And he also said he couldn’t give a timeline or any estimation as to when the interview would be.
  12. Hi HappyPlace, No I haven’t heard back yet. It’s been almost 10 weeks now since our notice of readiness was sent in. We have emailed the two email addresses and our lawyer has also emailed but we haven’t received anything other than automated responses. By instructions email do you mean the one with medical/police report instructions or the instructions for scheduling the interview after you submitted the notice of readiness? I agree it’s been very frustrating and we also feel like we’re in limbo.
  13. Thanks Rsnmrbl, unfortunately my question isn't covered but I'll try under the "Other Question" heading. Appreciate the help!
  14. Which email address did you use? I’ve tried emailing the DublinIV one but had no response. My fiancé also emailed to ask for any update and request an extension but had no response. Our lawyer did tell us that they will automatically extend the validity date however so that should hopefully be fine. The medical packet took exactly three weeks, I emailed them after two and they were very apologetic and said they were just waiting on the doctor to sign it off.
  15. Hi, I submitted my NOR 6 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back from the Dublin Consulate with interview instructions. Have you submitted yours yet?
