  1. I know how you feel, I had a bad night and a very very bad day today. Sometimes it feels like they will make us wait forever. We reunited last year after 17 years apart. We waited to file, because we were waiting for my divorce to be final and here we are... WAITING...ugh.. I wish I could go to bed and someone would wake me up when this was over. but unfortuantely, thats not an option.

Omg.. 17 yearss of ur life.. thats why I always say TRUE LoVE Exists.. fate has deemed you to be reunited and I am pretty sure ur love will last forever. (L)

In my case, I really believe it was fate that brought Ab to me.. Im so happy with him.. but this waiting is killin' me and sometimes it makes me feel so depressed.. Luckily I got nothing but support from my family and friends. everyday when I wake up I thank God for another day of living, for them. for you and for being in love with him. (F)

It really means a lot to me to be able to read all the postings you all put up on this site. We are all in the same boat, We can get through it together!! :star: Let's wait and see what comes out over the next few weeks.

How hard it is to be so far but be so close.. :(

still sending u love and patience..

The thing that keeps me going is just the fact that he exists - far across the globe he may be but he is alive and well and we can communicate everyday- I think of all the woman in the past who's husbands have gone to war, and perhaps never even seen their 5month old new daughter etc...and those woman would have to wait and wait never knowing...wait for months for ships to come in with letters and news.....thank God thats not what we have to go through!! I'd go stark raving bonkers  As long as he is in this world, and we can communicate our love, Im happy :star: That being said- come on Vermont, HURRY UP!!! I'm dying here!!

also- I was only touched last May- do you think I need to have more touches to indicate it will be approved soon? Or will it just suddenly change to 'approved'?

  2. Good morning April... hello new posters. :)

Guara, we have the same NOA1 date! A former adjuticator posted that they go by the received date...which for both of us is about mid April.

It's good to know they're working 7 days a week. Hopefully it's not much longer for any of us.

We do have the same date!! I posted my package from England just a few days before you sent yours :) And we got our NOA2 at the same time :) Oooh....the suspense...hope we get ours together, we can have a huge celebration on this thread....its such a milestone....as I read somewhere else, once you get NO2 'congratulations, everything moves much faster from this point..' I will SERIOUSLY go buy myself a bottle of something bubbly and have a webcam toast with my man...cheesy but necessary lol!

  3. oh boy i cant wait..............................im going to have to wait...........but I feel like Im become obsessive with my checking my case status

Its kinda nice to know theres a bunch of others going through the same heartache, living of just emails and phonecalls and lettesr and webcam chats...all which we'd trade just to hug them again...i want to be there for his end of august bday - heres praying/hoping - I just want to imagine some mustached official having a good day, swilling down a cuppa strong coffee and thinking 'right, I'll really get cracking on that stack of fiance petitions today and stop procrastinating on facebook ;)

Im at the end of April so will probably be one of the last....

  4. Hello everyone!

Im an end of April submitter (NOA1 on the 23rd I think?) and am WAITING for approval- keep checking my case status- last prodded on the 20th of May :/ From what I can tell- Vermont is averaging about 80 days to approval so Im expecting a response by late July! The offical gov websites and even on here dont seem to have up to date processing timelines for the different centers- does anyone know where I can get this info? Want to know what Aprils timing is like!!

    Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!! :star:

  5. Ive been reading around....and it seems people just go over and bring copies of evidence tying them to the Uk- ie letter of employment, rent bills, etc...and say they are visiting their 'friends' ...dont say 'fiance' unless asked! The one thing Im wondering though is - is your name is some kinda database so as you go through customes it might come up with 'fiance visa pending etc'?? And does that matter??

Good luck though- and if you DO decide to go you shouldnt tell her and just show up with a bunch of flowers - will be the suprise of her life hehe!

  6. Im unclear on this myself and was JUST going to post this question when I saw you'd done it already :)

What confuses me- if you are from the UK and have one of the new passports with a chip, you should be able to travel to the USA without a visa for 3 months as a tourist....can you still do this.....or do you need approval from an embassy and do they make the time of ur visitation smaller?? I just want to pop over for 10 days for my mans B-day!

  7. Hi, I am new to this forum though I did use the forms when filing (very helpful!) Our package was recieved by the Vermont Service Centre on the 21st of April- from what I understand they should have already sent my American fiance a letter saying they have recieved the package? And thats the first noticfe- or...does it take longer and its actual approval of the case that we are waiting for? (I searched the archives but couldn't find anything answering this) So is there an average wait time? And should I call to follow things up?

Gawd its taking too long already- kudos to all of you going through the same heartache!

ur noa1 is the receipt number that is on the back of ur check and they do send the person who is usa citizen or attorney if u used one the receipt that is call the noa1 after u receive that u can put that number on line and check ur case on and off to see if they have updated it....u should receive that first receipt number with in a month most receive it in a few days to a week but it can take up to a month

Thanks, that was a very helpful response- I'll wait up to a month before freaking out :)

  8. Congrats on filing your paperwork. In order to help out with any questions you will have during this process it is always helpful if you fill in your timeline otherwise people have to ask for details in order to best help you out. The notice your fiancee rec'd should say what kind of notice it is, likely the NOA1(I think is says I-797C). It is a process and if you search in the timelines for the country you live in that might give you an idea of how long the process is taking. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hi- thanks for your reply! :star: It is the first NOA, and I live in the UK and he lives in the States. So- who recieves the notice- him or me? I just want to know that the package is ok and they dont need more info etc!! The ordinary wait is long enough :(
