  1. Twice. The first time was before marriage and the last time was last year in march for a month. I was just considering it due to trump wanting to ban is all and I really miss her we talk everyday.
  2. This may be a stretch but is it possible to invite my wife to the U.S even if we have submitted all documents and have been qualified through NVC and awaiting for an interview? Will this postpone or interfere the process with interview?
  3. Hello, I used the scheduling tool to see when my wife would expect an appointment for an interview. I saw it said march-24. Does this mean that since the case was DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED may 20, 2025. Does this mean that she will not get an appointment until next year or is it a possibility it could be sooner?
  4. I have the same question, my process is qualified my NVC and now I Saw this page and I’m wondering do I set up the appointment myself or is this something I’m waiting on NVC to do if it’s for a CR-1 visa?
  5. Help please, so I was on Travel.State.Gov and after the second visit tab it says “please follow the steps to prepare for your immigrant visa interview at the U.S Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria.” Step 1 then it directs me to a page named Avits and there it says appoint services and then it asks me these questions in the picture? Do I await until I get assigned an interview from NVC or do I do this part to request an interview from NVC?
  6. Thank you so much, sir. That’s a huge relief. Is there a specific place I should upload the award letter?
  7. And I did upload a copy of my Va benefits letter to the portal. I just got a tad nervous since I didn’t make enough and they commented on the aos saying that I needed a joint sponsor when clearly I make enough with my Va benefits
  8. They just notified me of the problem today so my wife is going to get the updated required birth certificate tomorrow and I will upload it. I was just a little concerned because on the I-864 I did not meet the requirements. But everything has been approved on my side, but the only thing that’s missing is the birth certificate that was requested today so afterwards I should get the DQ correct?
  9. Hello sir I see your name in quite a few posts and you seem to know what required for the process. If you would could I explain what’s being told to me ?

  10. I don’t think I will get the a notice that the case is documentarily qualified yet because they also said something about her birth certificate so until she gets the correct one they’re requesting I may not get that documentarily email anyway right? Both the sponsor and applicant must have all the required documents to receive this email? also I think just because on the I-864 I didn’t make enough but I do have the Va disability do you think that’s why I received that response?
  11. Also, they accepted all of my documents? Does that mean that things will Continue forward? the picture included is what my portal says
  12. I’m sorry for asking again. But my wife will still get an interview right even if I don’t decide to get a joint sponsor? And a consular will be at the interview and I will just need to send her with my Va award letter?
  13. That’s the weird part I submitted that letter from the Va
  14. So I am petitioning for my wife. My documents are currently at NVC and this is the message that I recently received The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos and https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household members and joint sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: * Other income * Assets * Proof of current employment Note: You submitted documentation to the National Visa Center through the Consular Electronic Application Center CEAC. You can continue to upload documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview. I used my VA disability that I’m currently on and I receive 100% total and permanent so I am sort of lost on why they said my income was insufficient. Does this message imply that we will still get the interview for my wife but a counselor will determine if it’s good enough or are they saying until I get a joint sponsor that the interview would not be granted?
  15. So I’m looking at the affidavit of support so if I receive disability from the VA which is non-taxable and don’t pay taxes how would I put that on the affidavit of support?
  16. So after filing the I-130 it was finally approved 1 year and 4 months. As of April 4 it was approved, what are the next steps to expect and how long does it usually take for NVC to schedule an appointment? What other documents must be filed next so I can already have them prepared?
  17. Thank you. I really didn’t mean to miss documents in the portal and I attempted to send them by mail.
  18. Hello all please forgive me I apologize in advance it’s a lot. So I got married in October 5, 2023 and I filed for my wife and submitted the I-130 on November 8, 2023 and I received a receipt that I had done so. I knew that I would have to file a 130a for my wife but it never prompted me to do that. I didn’t hear anything from Uscis until March 10, 2025 and I received a notification that they were requesting more items. When the notification came up on my portal I was unable to see what they were requesting until the letter was actually deliver to my home that took a week later. I couldn’t even see in writing what they were requesting on my Uscis portal. So they sent me a RFE that requested that I validate my U.S. citizenship, marriage certificate and the I-130a for my wife. So I had uploaded what I had to my portal that requested this information and noticed that I didn’t submit the “Cover Letter” and the affidavits. So literally the next day I attempted to resubmit this information in the portal and it was closed and I waited for Uscis to open and I called to ask if I could have another opportunity to upload these required documents. The person who I spoke to on the phone from Uscis had told me that they were unable to reopen the portal request that I sent the information to. Instead they told me that I could just fill out the I-130a along with the other documents and resubmit for review and it shouldn’t be a problem. As soon and I got of the phone with them I filled out the I-130a for my wife and gathered the other things such as the cover letter and the other required documents and mailed them at the post office. I was even triple verifying that I had written the correct destination that the RFE request came from so I wouldn’t cause a mistake and my documents get lost. My issue is I’ve been waiting so long and I had submitted those other documents minus the I-130a I even can see that I had sent my citizenship before when I uploaded my documents to the document section on the portal. Im just a little nervous about all of this and I just don’t want to mess up and have to get denied and reapply again. Does anyone have any advice or anything they think I can do so help this situation. Thank you in advance!
