  1. Thank you all. After about 5 days, availability just appeared. Maybe it was just pending notification that my payment was successful.
  2. Our petition was received in Manila, 160 were completed and paid a week ago, but everyday while trying to schedule the interview it shows no slots available. We've checked more than 3 times per day, at different times, but no change. I thought maybe they needed my payment to post, but that occurred 2 days ago. Is this like getting Taylor swift tickets on ticketmaster - do we need to log on at a specific time to have access to limited availability?
  3. Not sure if this is the correct forum, but none of the others seemed to match. I'm hoping to determine if anyone has tips on the US adoption process of a stepchild from the Philippines. Her father is absent, zero support or contact for 7 years. Mother has solo parent ID from PH government, but I predict that the US court system will want some form of affidavit or ruling from a court that awarded sole custody. If we must seek the father's permission, that could take years to locate him and likely pay him for that right. I'm hoping to learn what the mother will need to gather from the PH before she leaves in a few months.
  4. I learned yesterday that NVC assigned me a case number. I only found this out after submitting an inquiry to NVC requesting such, and I contacted my Senator's office for assistance. I also learned that USCIC mailed me a letter that was returned to USCIS. I have submitted a change of address 3 EFFIN TIMES, and it still hasn't updated my file. I did the online address change, a month later the paper form address change was mailed, and the third time while on the phone with an agent of USCIS. Now I had to submit another inquiry to get my receipt number so I can view my status on NVC website and see what forms require submission. They did advise that payment was not required due to my application type. I don't recommend ever moving during this process - it has turned into a headache and I must rely on 30+ day inquiry responses or assistance from a Senator's office to get any information. And still have received only the NOA 1 by mail.
  5. Just learned that case was forwarded to NVC today. Approved 10/17/25 and sent to NVC 1/9/26. 71 days.
  6. I just finished another phone call with a more helpful representative. USCIS is still not showing my updated address, and the rep had me submit another online address change, which she refreshed and still did not observe. She set up a return call with a supervisor to investigate reasoning, which I should receive in the next 3 business days. I also filed form G-639 FOIA relative to the missing NOA2, at the rep's instruction, but no telling how long that will take to obtain a response.
  7. I'm looking for advice because I don't know what else to do. I submitted I-129F 3/3/25, and received NOA1 3/9/25. USCIS website shows it was approved on 10/17/2025, but I never received NOA2 by email or regular mail. I did complete a change of address online and with the mail form, and called USCIS to confirm that my profile was updated to match the new address. I submitted two inquiries about the missing NOA2 to the USCIS website, but neither obtained a response. I just submitted a third, but don't anticipate that going anywhere either. I have called the support number on USCIS website, but the unhelpful people who answered told me to just keep waiting. Now, NVC shows that they are working on cases that were approved after the date mine was approved, but I have received no notice from NVC. A month ago, I contacted my Senator for assistance, and luckily he has a liaison who is looking into it. I received an email from that person a week ago asking for a copy of my NOA2, but I clearly wrote in the email that my first concern was that the NOA2 was never received. What next steps can I take? I will call USCIS again tomorrow, but don't have expectations of good news.
  8. Thanks for the info. I submitted two inquiries to USCIS about no noa2 received, and never got a response. I contacted nvc by email and received a response to keep waiting. I emailed my senator and he has a liaison who seems to have kick-started the inquiry process.
  9. My I-129F status shows approved on the USCIS website as of October 17, 2025. That online notice says that an approval notice was 'sent' to me (unknown mail or email), and to follow the instructions on the welcome letter. On November 1, I submitted an inquiry online because I had yet to receive a written or emailed notice of acceptance, and the instructions online advised to submit an inquiry if not received by 11/1/25. On 11/20/25, I called the help line for USCIC to advise that I had not received any letter or any response to my inquiry. The representative I spoke with advised that I must wait 30 days for their response. Tomorrow is 30 days and I have still heard nothing. Before I call them again tomorrow to advise 30 days has passed without a response - which I assume will be met with instructions to submit another inquiry, can any of you offer advice, or have you experienced a similar occurrence? Thank you.
  10. Thank you, that's the answer I was looking for.
  11. Petitioned in March, was just approved. Her daughter will remain with grandparents and aunts. We're open to the daughter coming at the same time, but I'm asking what is the anticipated timeline if we wait until later? 3 months, 6 months....1 Year?
  12. I understand, but I want my future wife to have the opportunity to decide on the best school district for her daughter. I'm in Houston, which will be enough of a culture shock for an 8 year old girl, and I want her to have the chance to go to school with other children she can relate to.
  13. Thank you, I read about that, but it specifically uses the term "child". Her daughter will be my step-child....does that make a difference? I read that the future wife can petition for her child after she receives her green card, but that window is longer than we want.
  14. We want my fiancees child to arrive at least a year after we marry, so we can establish a home in a good school district. If the k2 visa is only good for 6 months after the fiancee receives her k1, what is the process to get the child to America after her mother is married and applied for change of status? Thank you.
