don't sweat it guys...just look at the list and it seems like many people that show as PENDING on visajourney are already approved and didn't bother to update their timeline....very selfish! Besides, given the load-balancing, it only makes sense that they start banging out these approvals soon.

Laugh. I agree. I figure the first 15-20 on the list waiting for K-3 approval are invalid. Also, I saw a few duplicates on there. So you can probably just subtract 20 from whatever number you are on the list. Another thing I find interesting, is that there is only like 20 people waiting for K-3 approval at CSC within the processing times.

hello .today i had my intreview at consulat ecasablanca..everything went well,i had my intrview late than its time.i gave all prove snad evidence of relationship, that woman todl em evrything is fine, my case is good and fine but need more a administratives processing, and she handed me that paper, say, your case requires additional administrative processing, we require nothing further from you at this time, we will contact you by telephone as soon as we are able to continue with your case.can any oen explain thsi to me?.what doe sit mean? iam going on k3 visa

Actually, I beg to differ. The CO is not a bad CO, this CO is following the prescribed protocol as laid out in the regulations. Your custom required you be married before leaving for the USA. You chose a visa process afforded only to those that are not married. Knowing your family would require that you marry, you could have saved yourself some heartache by not taking what appeared to be a faster route. In this case the CO was right, and unfortunately, you and your husband made the wrong choice.

you know they asked a guy at the usa embassy in Cairo who was filing for k1 visa (are you married your fiancee on islam way ) he said yes we are married .

cause you know they were not passing the marriage form in Egypt that time .and the CO said thank you i just want to know if you will be honest or not . and he say don't worry it will not affect your visa at all.

I know you are sad because you now have to wait for the K-3 but I want to point out that you did a good thing - you were honest - and because you were honest you are going to be allowed to file and receive a K-3. You are still in the game, so to speak:-). If you had lied it is unlikely you would ever have received a visa:-). So congratulations. It is too bad that you and your husband were not aware earlier that this would be the consequence of getting married with a K-1 before you arrived to the States, but it is only a delay - not a permanent road block. Good luck to you - you are still on a visa journey and I am confident that it will have a happy ending:-).

Why all the judgmental comments. Dosnt anyone have any comforting advice for the poor girl? Geesh! She made a mistake and now she is trying to figure out how to fix it. No matter how the mistake was made it was made and now she is upset and dosnt know what to do.

I am sorry this happened to you. But for now ust take a monment to calm your fears and read the K-3 and the CR1 guides located on this site then you can decide wich one is best for you. Also read through the threads or do a thread search to find out from others who are going through this type of visa or who have already finished to get answers to all other questions. Tell your spouse about this site as well since he is the USC and have him read up on the choice of visa's as well. If you do not understand just ask around here on the site. There are many kind people that will be willing to help you such as PARIS HEART and KIPANDSARAHJANE. There are some other very helpful people but these two are the ones that stand out in my memory as of right now. Ignore the other comments becuase somewhere along the way those people died and became God. Anyway we are all going through pain, stress, anxiety becuase of this journey so you are sure to find someone here that will be sensative and understanding. Take care and I hope everything will work out for you and your husband.

The K3 process really isn't too much different than the K1, just a couple extra forms is all. Read the Guides at the top of the page and if you've already done the K1, the K3 shouldn't be a problem.

Im sorry this happend to you, but it did. File for a K3 or a CR-1 California processing center is pretty quick in the recent months with the married visas.

Keep all your evidence emails, letters to your husband and his to yours, etc, that you had on your K1 filings, and keep adding evidence to your new file that you will need for your interview again at the embassy for your K3 visa. I understand you being honest when she asked you if your married or not. You can do this and get thru this. Your a strong girl. And many people will be glad to help you, myself included with the forms you will need.

Its easy, only one extra form then what you had, and you need wedding photos.

Was the lady who interviewed you named Maureen? a blond headed lady???

We are another case for Administrative Processing

Just wanted to tell my story, vent, and hopefully get some reassurance from more experienced AP Veterans.

Last Thursday My fiance had his interview at the Embassy. I was with him and everything went soooo smooth!!! Our case was sooo solid that the CO didn't even speak to my fiance. She just asked me questions about our relationship. After a 3-5 minute Q&A session she said Congrats and go pay for your visa shipment!!

NO I-212 WAS PRESENTED TO US!!!

We paid for our visa and got away scott free....or so we thought

When we got to our hotel we received a phone call on my fiance's cell from a woman exclaiming to not purchase a plane ticket and to return to the embassy asap.

When we arrived at the embassy they told my fiance ( i wasn't allowed in surprisingly even though i am the USC!!) that they were very very very sorry! There was a "glitch" in the system and that the application was being sent to administrative processing.

At the time I had some idea about administrative processing...but I wasn't 100 %. My finace left his passport at the embassy and they assured him that it had nothing to do with our case but that they couldn't give us an idea as to how long it would take.

My questions are:

1. Has anyone gone through AP in Colombia?

2. What if you didn't get the I-212 at the embassy? Do they mail it?

3. If they let you leave your passport is this really a good sign that AP wont take too long? Or will they just mail it back to my fiance?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
