I remember I submitted everything at the very beginning , not sure if should take originals and copies right the way . But really need to know if I need to translate birth certificate

Hello everyone, my interview is coming in 10days ( i485). What documents should I bring with me . I have medical report done , but what else should I bring with me . Someone told me that I need birth certificates and a translated copy of it. What do they usually ask at the interview and what documents to submit ? Anyone had an interview recently nyc office (26 federal plaza) ? What questions were asked?

I would take an attorney with me for sure . What kind of questions did they ask you ? Did they ask anything about abuse ?

No I was never in the removal or anything like that , no criminal records , not sure why it took so long , when I reached out to congress they were getting responses as pending background check

Hi everyone , I’m a 2018 vawa filer , i360 got approved in 2020, and I just got notification my I 485 interview is ready to be scheduled ( no dates nothing yet) NYC office 1) do you know how long it takes to schedule in interview after such notice in NyC 2) how to proper change the address for vawa applicant as I sent them multiple times ar11 and then through congress - still nothing has been changed 3) I never received any medical request - I sent them medical back in 2018 so I assume it’s expired at this point 4) anyone recently had an interview in nyc ? What questions they usually ? even if it says “ready for an interview “ can they still approve without interview or now interview is mandatory for i485. ( I remember they used to approve without interview ) 5) I see over the news lots of arrests at the immigrations hearings , can they arrest and deport right at the interview? I just received my receipt notice - literally took 2 months . It used to be way faster . However they still put received date as soon as they received , which is great. So you should get yours soon

Hi everyone , I sent a petition for an extension of work authorisation and AP about 2.5 weeks ago to Nebraska ( used to be Vermont) category c31. Do you know how long it takes now to get the receipt number with an extension ?

Thank you . But it doesn’t apply for those who paid initially for i485 ? bc I did a waiver for all petitions when just applied for this case , so I used to pay all the time for AP and work authorisation when I was filing for an extension

Thank you for the information . So you are saying I no longer have to pay filing fee for c31 ? I think I read online that it went up in prices and now it’s $520 or smth , so I’m confused

I’m extending my c 31 that was issued when they approved my i360 back in 2020 and because filing fees were waived when I filed i485 I have to pay all the time when I extend my work authorization. I had category c9 when I-360 was pending , but once it got approved they send work authorization under c31 category .What about Advanced Parole do I send this to the same address above (Lincoln , Nebraska) ?

I have no idea where now, waiting for a letter , so I guess it’s no longer in Vermont I need to extend my work authorization based on approved I360. Where should I send a new petition for work authorization? Still Vermont? Could you please advise the address where to send ? your help is greatly appreciated

Hello everyone . Apparently after vawa was approved in Vermont my case was sent to NBC , then I see in the copy of I797C they sent ( I never got an original letter ) it says i485 is handled by Vermont service center . Sandra @Sandra G. and anyone who may know the answers , could you please help me to understand 1) why did it sent back to Vermont after NBC if I’m a NY filer 2) seems they never updated my address when I sent ar11 couple years ago to Vermont . Where should I send new ar11 to change my address ? Or how to change the address properly ? 3) how long does it usually take to get rfe or interview notice after NBC (especially if it was sent back to Vermont instead of local office ) as I was under impression that it should have been sent to nyc ?
