    Good morning, everyone, The petitioner’s I-864 petition and the D-260 form, along with the supporting civil and financial documents, have already been approved by the NVC. So now I’m waiting for my case to be transferred to the U.S. Embassy in Madrid for an interview. I’ve been reading that starting in 2023, you need to visit the U.S. Embassy in Madrid at least twice. The first time is for the medical exam, fingerprinting, and submitting documents, and the second visit is for the scheduled interview. Is this correct? Does anyone have experience with this at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid? Thank you!

    Hello everyone, The I-130 petition that my wife filed in January 2025 was approved on January 23, 2026! It took one year and there were no additional requirements. We live outside the US, so NVC will send us instructions to file the DS-160 application before February 20, 2026. Is there anything to keep in mind regarding the documentation to be submitted with the application? For example, my wife's U.S. criminal background check is more than 6 months old. Is that a problem? Anything else? Thank you.

    Hi! I have filled it out online and in my case I am outside the US, so I don't have to sign the document. So I filled it out online, saved it as a PDF and uploaded it to the USCIS web. In the case that you have to sign, well fill it out online, then print it out to sign and then scan it.

    Hello I am Spanish and my wife is from USA and we are currently residing in Spain. My wife is going to file form I-130 online, we are providing the following: I-130 online petition. Spanish spouse data Photos 1 of each of me and my wife according to the requirements Marriage certificate I-130A Collection of photos (wedding, honeymoon, vacations, family...) Wife's U.S. passport Registration of joint cohabitation in the country of residence (Spain) Explanatory letter of relationship explaining how we met until we got married, etc. Flight purchases with our names on them. Is it enough? At the moment we do not have a joint bank account, is it strictly necessary? The marriage certificate is in Spanish, does it have to be translated and notarized into English? Does a multilingual certificate (issued in several languages) work? Thank you very much

    Hello, My wife is a US citizen and I am Spanish, we currently reside in Barcelona, Spain. And we wanted to start processing my permanent Green Card through the Embassy in Madrid. I understand that you must apply for the I-130 form through the USCIS website, is this correct? Or should you proceed by sending an email to the US Embassy in Madrid? Do you know which email address I can use? Thank you
