Some good news. After a slightly odd interview yesterday, my status just changed to approved. I guess, I can breathe again lol. After witnessing yesterday interview, I can say that immigration officers deciding our cases are just like any other desk jobs. Dealing with crappy internet, nonstop buffering PC, someone not copying half the file etc. 😂. Good luck to everyone!

Just got out of my interview. Slightly weird experience. My husband wasn’t allowed in. Depends largely on the agent interviewing (others went in together). Wasn’t really asked any questions, just reviewed my case file. Seems like when USCIS digitalized files, half of it goes missing. Lost my medical but somehow it appeared at the end geez. 🙄 Supposedly I had many unanswered questions in my application, which is impossible. The lady was basically talking to herself, complaining about their computer system the whole time 😂. At the end no answer given, case under review…. Fingers crossed. Good luck to all of you.

Well, my interview just got scheduled for June 17. Out of that huge list of paperwork to bring, what exactly applies to a fiancé visa AOS? I might need a suitcase lol 😂

Hi! This little message popped up on my case status. I did not submit anything since biometrics - before Christmas. The estimated time increased as well back to 14 months. Guessing someone looked at my file … annd that’s about it. 😂

Nice! Some movement happening. On another note, my son’s K2 visa has been approved so I need to buy a second fridge before he gets here 😂🤦🏻♀️. He is almost 19 but still growing…

Interesting how they give out the application numbers. We are 09-287 and our filing date is November 8. Thank you for the information that your file is transferred to your local office only if the interview is needed. I didn’t know that. Learning sthg every day 😉

Dang it! Those numbers are not moving very fast …. I am sure it mostly depends on the local office as well. For many of the smaller ones there is no stats whatsoever to even try to guess how long this might still take. My status sits on 12 months till decision 🤦🏻♀️. On a good note, my son’s K2 visa appointment is next week. Fingers crossed that he gets through. As a teenager he cannot be accompanied to the interview.

Hi! Trying to schedule interview for my son (K2 visa) at Montreal embassy. Is it normal that the interview scheduling site won’t let me pay the fee for DS 160 since there’re no appointments available at this time? I don’t remember having the same problem last year, but I had interview on a first attempt. Thx in advance!

Hi 👋. Any update regarding AOS from anyone? This waiting game is stressful. I got my written driving test today. I have had a driver’s license for 20+years, so it would be really funny if I failed 😂. My son’s K2 is moving nicely. Scheduling his interview this weekend. Hopefully 🤞 all is good. He is 18 going on 19 but has Asperger’s. I’m worried that he’s going to blab sthg out …. He is highly functional and smart (pre med student) but very VERY awkward in social settings. 🤦🏻♀️

Well, I can’t even log in anymore. Says my log in information is invalid, even though I have logged in like 💯 times 🤦🏻♀️. Tried to fill my son’s DS 160 application but crashes always on the first page and can’t save nor retrieve. Tried different browsers etc. Giving up after restarting the application 3 times. Is the whole government down or what?!? Anyone else having problems?

Tried again with a different browser but still got kicked out on the first page … this is more than frustrating!

Started to fill DS160 form online for my son for K2 visa. The system timed me out immediately on the first page when I clicked continue. Couldn’t retrieve the application so started over. But it happened again when I tried to save first page. Impossible to retrieve: name and DOB supposedly doesn’t much. I’m using Edge. Cleared history, cookies etc. Nothing. Any help?

Checked my case status this morning for AOS (no reason why lol 😂, no way anything is going to happen anytime soon) but the progress tab is gone. No timeline as well. I am assuming the AOS is now at the local office, am I right? In my case Fresno, very few people go through here, so hard to guess for estimates….

Anyone has experience with K2 visa, follow to join? I contacted the U.S. embassy in Montreal that my son is ready to start processing his K2 visa application (I am already in US and married) but haven’t heard back from them 🤦🏻♀️. The embassy is aware of both my children, it was even discussed during my original interview. They made it sound like it’s a very easy process. If only I can get a hold of them lol 😂. Any help is appreciated.

Likely more than 1 day. I went through MTL spring/summer 2024. It seems like they have specific days to do certain tasks. Ex. maybe Mondays, they stamp passports with visa and if Monday is a vacation then you wait another week etc. Hope, this helps. It took about 2 weeks to get my passport back. Interview on Friday but Monday was a vacation.

Yes. Approved January 4 and card produced Jan 9. Not too bad. Better start reading California drivers booklet lol 😂 since I have to redo my driving license here from scratch…

My new EAD status this morning: case closed, card produced. No tracking number yet. No movement on AOS as expected- will likely take several months. Hoping for May/June so I can attend my daughter graduation 🤞

Woke up this morning and my EAD is approved on the website but still says 13 months hahaha 😂

A little update on my side. My estimated time for EAD moved from 5 months to 13 months. Moving in the wrong direction here, geez 🤦🏻♀️. Not sure what is going on. It is getting harder and harder to stay calm and wait patiently.

Hmm, my two applications EAD and AOS are still concurrent. (Bio Dec 20 in Fresno local office, filed in Chicago). For AED estimated time is 5 months and for AOS it says 14 months. The estimates hasn’t changed at all from the beginning. Any changes for anyone else? I am about to develop a serious addiction to chocolate while patiently waiting lol 😂
