  1. Hi again VJ friends...

Mom's visa journey came to an end and she is traveling to the US on May 6th.

If you know a link to a recent departure experience in NAIA and POE in Detroit, please kindly share...

I appreciate you guys time and effort...

    Thank you so much!

  2. Good Day VJ people, I need to ask 2 very important questions for my friend who went here in the US on a B1/B2 tourist visa.

She met a US citizen here, dated, became BF/GF, and they want to get married here in the US. Her visa expires April 30th, unexpectedly they decided to get married this weekend. Although she (my friend) has an option to just go back home to the Philippines and process K1 visa, the guy (US citizen) wants to marry her and apply for adjustment of status here... Been reading the step by step guides to file I-130 for a spouse inside the US.

    Questions:

    1. Do they need to file all the paper works before her visa expires?

    2. Knowing they will just start their marriage, what are the evidences they can show as a proof of their bona fide marriage?

And please, any inputs and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thank you so much in advanced.

    Cloe

  3. Mom just had her 1st day of Medical at St Luke's yesterday...

She was asked to come back at 10am for her second day. At the back of the receipt was a list of documents she needs to bring:

    Passport and official receipt

    3 pcs 2x2 visa photos

    DS 260 confirmation (immigrant visa)

Shipping and Delivery address confirmation (Applicant scheduled by NVC)

She have everything except for the Shiping and Delivery address confirmation, because I don't know what to bring for that, anyone's input will be very helpful, thank you guys.

  4. Hi, good day to everyone.

In 2008 I petition my wife now to come to the US using K1 visa.

Now, I am trying to fill up a affidavit of support for her brother who is coming to the US to study, I don't need to support financially because he just need to further his study and is now in the peak of his success. We just thought that it might help if we sign a affidavit of support. Will there be an advantage? What are the chances for those who are applying for student visa?

Now my next question, on the form, in questions 9 and 10, I am asked if I have previously submitted affidavit of support or visa petition, do I have to write my petition before for my wife, who was my fiance before. Do I use her maiden name?

    Hoping to find clarification here.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

  5. Good Friday morning :star:

I am a little bit confused what to put on part 5 of my form I-175 (ROC). "Information about your Children - List all your children."

We have one child, and was born here in the US, and his status is "US CITIZEN"

Do I simply put his name and his status? Do I really have to type the complete address because I doubt it wont fit on the box "give address/Immigration status"

    Thank you!

  7. Hi! Go ahead and file there will be no consequences you will be fine dont worry.File for your AR-11 online and keep the confirmation copy then send in the I-865.They will send your hubby a notice upon receipt of the I-865 form.It doesnt take that long for them to send a notice. Then enclose both copies in your ROC packet..Thats what I did and never had a problem...

Great, thanks a lot. I really appreciate, good thing I asked it here first before filing ROC. I'm glad!

And hey thanks for the quick responses haha

  8. Hi everyone.

Received my 2-year green card last August 12, 2009..

Move to a new house with hubby later that year. Now I am due to remove conditions on my residency. Notice of requirement to file from USCIS was receive in our old address which happened to be my mother in law's house now.

Do I file for I-865 first? I am kind of confused.

Thank you in advanced for your info... Be waiting.

  9. B) Need advice from you guys... I am already here in the US, me and Jeff plans to visit my home country (Philippines) soon, by that time we will be traveling with our baby (soon to come) and we are assuming he will be like 3 months old by then...

We still have to ask our OB about it, but any inputs from you guys will be very helpful... Is it safe for a 3 month-old baby to travel by plane for 18 hours?

    Thanks :)
