  1. Just submitted my DS-260 few days ago. However, I wanted to schedule my father's medical exam before I get my case complete from NVC. Am I allowed to do so? Enlighten me please?

Yup u can as I said earlier make him take a copy of that first email NVC sent u with the case number in it. Fill up the registration form online at st Luke's website print it out and take it with him too. My parents went there at 5am the line was already long but since my dad just turned 60 they didn't have to go the end :) perks of being a senior citizen :)

  2. Like you said, your parents did their medical in January, would that mean, it is okay to do the medical even if there is no approval yet?

or SHould we wait for all the NVC processes before the medical? I worry about the sputum thing might pro long everything.

    Thanks....

U can do early medical as soon as u get ur MNL case number and as long as for sure ur flying out within 6 months :) my parents just took a copy of the email confirmation of their case numbers the receptionist over at st Luke's was kinda discouraging them on doing it too early though

  3. I called again and i just used my husbands info since my info wont go through and i dunno why.. i tried to login online but still the same thing, i clicked the IMMIGRATION then click the year 2011, 2012 and 2013 and nothing happened. I will just wait for them to mail it to me. Thanks for the help J3MJ3M

U can just photocopy ur form 1040 that's what I did no problem at all. Make sure u make one copy for ur mom and one copy for ur dad. Just put 2 separate envelopes for each case and put it in a big envelope. Also since they will be asking for original NSO copy of ur birth certificate and marriage certificate u can put an original one on one of the envelopes photocopy it for the other envelope and put a sticky note saying the original is on the other envelope put the name and the case number.

  4. Hi! Mikelanee hope everything is fine... im currenltly reading your post here in VJ, im from Cebu Phils my husband filing me a IR1/CR1 visa, i have some concern with regards about the visa processing... On April we received a Checklist from NVC,on April 4 in response to them we sent the doc./checklist AOS through mail until now we are still waiting till NVC contact us for the progress...

    1. would like to asked what is the next step after NVC received the mail of checklist AOS from us?

    2. After the checklist made do NVC contact us and let us know if our paperwork is already complete before they send to manila consulate?

    3. do i (beneficiary) still need to undergo a medical exam? or i just wait till the manila consulate contact me ?

thanks alot hope someone here can give me some idea.... GOD BLESS TO ALL and more power!!!!!

    1. NVC will check submitted checklist and if all is fine u won't hear anything till case complete.

    2. Yes they will email u and petitioner/attorney if case is completed.

    3. Yes u Need to do medical exam @ st. Luke's in Manila. When u have ur interview letter you can take it with u to st. Luke's. Usually they do it a coupe of weeks before the interview it' all depends on u but don't do it too close to ur interview date.

    Goodluck!

  5. 8. EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (AOS): The I-864 AOS is required for visa applicants in the IR, F and certain E visa categories, and follow-to-join derivative family members of employment-based (E) applicants complete with copies of your sponsor’s latest U.S. Federal income tax return (ITR) and wage statements (Form W-2s). Please note that your petitioner must provide an Affidavit of Support, even if they do not meet the income requirements and even if a joint sponsor’s Affidavit of Support will be providing all of the actual financial support.

The I-864 AOS is NOW VALID INDEFINITELY ONCE IT HAS BEEN SIGNED (this is a change from the previous requirement of being valid for one year). In other words, applicants will no longer need to submit a new I-864 AOS or new tax forms due to long processing delays between the date of the signature of the I-864 AOS and the date of the interview.

Additionally, petitioners (or joint sponsors, if needed) filing an I-864 AOS are required to submit ONLY ONE YEAR'S TAX RETURN, THE MOST RECENT AVAILABLE AS OF THE DATE THE SUBMITTED I-864 AOS WAS SIGNED (this is a change from the previous requirement of submitting tax returns from the three most recent tax years).

The actual signed I-864 AOS must be an original copy. However, faxed copies of tax returns are acceptable. The tax return or copy should be signed.

( based on my understanding, I don't have to submit new I-864 on my interview. just a copy of I-864 that we submitted to NVC and ITR ( 2012 & 2013 ) 1040. am i correct? )

it doesn't hurt to bring one for the interview just in case they ask for the most recent ITR and updated I-864. I have read in some posts here that they were asked for it during the interview at the Manila Embassy so its better to have it handy.

  6. Possibly since they didn't return your passport and didn't get 221g form. Wait at least 5 business days or contact USEM

I check my visa application at ceac, it says "ISSUED" it means im approved ryt?

congratulations! its approved! just wait for the visa to get to u. I read on one of the posts here that u can track it at 2go website and use ur case number as tracking number. :)

  7. vj members have question... Got interview letter and it says there financial evidence-Incomplete... Im going to have my interview next next week. Lawyer already submited AOS at NVC.. Is It another AOS that I need to bring to the embassy for my interview... Or IRS 2013 of my petitipner is enough? Please help thanks

I have the Same thing for my parents. You should've gotten a checklist email prior to case complete where it would state which part of ur AOS form needs to be filled up or is not the right answer. My parents are to bring the updated form on their interview.

  8. we checked our case status! is this means we are approved for real? i didnt expect takes just a couple of weeks! if so, thanks God your the best!! more paper works to go :) Post Decision Activity

On April 7, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Wow! Congratulations! Now it's NVC time :)

  9. We had just submitted my daughter's DS-260 and got an email from the NVC to confirm it. i wonder if we can already schedule for a medical or should we wait for a notice from the NVC or Embassy that we need to do so?

I made my parents do an early medical once I got their case numbers in January because I was worried about the X-ray thing that if ever one of them would need to that 2 month test at least we could do it while at their papers are still at the NVC. Thank God everything was fine. The medical is valid for 6 months. My parents just showed that email with the case number in it. Goodluck!

  10. what is the number to call? can we re-schedule the interview?

my mom's interview is on May 12 at 6:15am. is there a way to re-schedule it? I would want to get an earlier interview..

I want an earlier interview also :) I was checking online the earliest schedule is June 5th so no way I'm changing into that but they say it changes all the time because of cancellations u just have to keep on checking. Or u can call the Philippines call center (703) 520-2235

  11. I finally got an e-mail for my Mom's interview schedule. She will be on the same schedule as you May 15. She's planning on leaving the province for her medical exam on May 6. I worried though that it might be a little too close to the schedule. Does anybody know if that would be a problem?

Yay! So she will be in line at the embassy with my parents :) I think may 6 is fine. My parents did their medical in January but they're going back on May 13 for a missing shot

  12. Or case was completed on Apr 1st,just received P4 Letter via email today. Interview is set for 8 May 0615 am. Just so surprised, considering how long this process has taken so far. Time to make hotel reservation for medical and interview. Anyone know of a safe place stay with decent rooms close to SLMC and the Embassy in Manila.

Try bayview park hotel. My parents stayed there for their early medical and I'm gonna book them there again for the interview. Very convenient according to them

  13. Hi May interview thread.. I have a question about the I-864 form.. can I just scan that so it will have my signature and send it via email to my husband? thats the only one that needs my signature.. Does anyone has idea if this is possible?
