  1. UPDATE: I got my interview scheduled notice today! I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up, thanks to everyone who commented! 😅
  2. I'm adjusting from K1 and I recently had my Biometrics appointment. Almost immediately after the appointment, I got a message from USCIS that simply says 'We have taken an action on your case. Sign in to your account to view your case status'. So I signed in through the official website and it shows that both the Biometrics and Interview step have been checked off. I'm assuming this means they have waived the AOS interview? Or is it too soon to tell?
  3. It does sound rather confusing! I wonder why the in between stage isn't considered 'lawfully present'
  4. My LFO seems to be San Bernardino (SBD), CA 92408, through the USCIS Field Office Locator I was imagining Law Enforcement or ICE after reading some horror stories on the forum and the news.
  5. Thank you! So if I happen to get stopped and asked, this is what I should say my status is?
  6. Thank you for your reply and the link! Having no legal status sounds a bit scary. I'll be sure to carry my passport and NOA everywhere with me.
  7. For context, I already sent my AOS packet, received my NOA and have my Biometrics date set. I was wondering what my official status is, since it's past the I-94 90 day period now. Am I out of status? I'd also like to know if I should always be carrying a copy of the NOA, my passport or anything else just in case?
  8. I was asked if I was on a K1 fiancee visa and specifically what date I was getting married. Then the officer confirmed it was within the 90 day period and that was all~
  9. Yes, I feel really lucky, thinking about how things could've gone.. Thank you! It helped me a lot to read other people's reviews so I wanted to give back
  10. At one point during my interview the CO brought up a copy of my I-129F (printed in black and white) and pointed out a photo where I was kissing my fiance at my friend's wedding and said seriously 'This photo looks like wedding, you didn't get married right?' In the photo, I was holding bridesmaid flowers and my fiancé was wearing a suit. I was wearing a light blue bridesmaid dress and so were the rest of the bridesmaids in the background on the chapel seats, but because it was printed in black and white, the dress looked white so I could totally see where the CO was coming from. Of course I said 'no I was a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding and said I had the original I-129F in colour'. But the CO didn't want to see it and moved on to other questions. ( I had front loaded and sideloaded and brought everything I could possibly think of being relevant to the interview. I didn't get to show any of it lol but I'm still glad I came prepared) It went well and I got approved verbally after the interview, but wanted to let people know how certain photos might look in black and white ><
