EB2-NIW Waiting for Interview Letter in London 2023
iaiyam1 replied to OnPoint's topic in United Kingdom
Hello, Everyone. Has anyone received IL for the month of September yet? Eb1 or Eb2 IL? any news will be very refreshing to hear. One of my pals, who shifted his case from Lagos to Bridgetown, received his IL yesterday. He transferred his case before USCIS's new directory. Excellent news for him! @appleblossom is there a timeframe when the London Embassy sends out ILs? Because I know from latest chats from applicants on this forum that they do theirs at the beginning of each month. I might be mistaken there. -

Hello everyone, I have fantastic news on the IV tool for London from yesterday's release. It has gone back to 2025 and even added a month from February 2025, bringing it back up to March 2025. Phew!! That was a scare. USCIS has stated that visas are no longer available for fiscal year 2025. Given FY 2026 begins in October, I'm hoping they'll start handing out ILs, hope i'm right. -

Ha! just saw it on the IV scheduling tool and its a disaster! Checked that tool last week for London and it was showing Feb 2025 (previously prior month was showing March 2025), why the massive retrogression of up to 2 years back. Other places had just 1 - 3 months retrogressed. I know a lot of folks here who were DQed in December 2023/Jan 2024 that have gotten their ILs already on this forum in London so this massive retrogression doesn't add up at all. If its how the retrogression will be I think its time some people who can move start moving cases if you can to other faster embassies. This is a sign of embassies like Abu Dhabi & Lagos where you stay for over 2 years if not 3 years after been DQed. This is not encouraging after all the wait. -

Hey @AE5794 I don't think this is a big issue from "my understanding a green slip, means the US Embassy or Consulate needs more information or administrative processing before issuing a visa. When a passport is returned with a green slip, it signifies that the visa application is on hold, not permanently denied. The passport is returned because the consular officer cannot yet issue the visa". so the question I have for you are; what were the standard questions you were asked and for the CV part was it that he expected your CV to be updated or did he ask you for an updated CV? Just like @appleblossom said if your occupation is on the TAL List or you had visited high risk countries might be another issue for them to put you in AP. -

Thanks @appleblossom for your quick response. My PD is 23 June 2023. I guess I was DQed in June 2024 this year with the following email from NVC (The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to scheduling your immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy overseas.NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in London, Great Britain And Northern Ireland to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner, and attorney (if applicable)). I only hope this is the DQ letter. Also do you have the posts of tables I can do my comparisons or you can help me with the analysis with my PD date. Thanks @appleblossom -

Hi Everyone, Adding my voice to the discussion, I'd like to know who in London has received an IL for EB2 this month and how long it took to go from DQ to IL. Additionally, those with experiences this year—that is, those with active PD on the VB—pique my curiosity more. In addition, I would like to know how long it took when your PD became current before NVC issued you an email on your IL in London. -
Hi Everyone, Just have some questions that I need clarifications on how the interview in London goes. - Must my residency permit in the UK be current to go for my interview? (My BRP expired 3 months now and I'm using visitor visa to come and go in the UK bc I don't work in the UK and just my spouse who works here has hers. I needed to renew mine but since I got my Green Card approved I saw it as no need to spend another £5k renewing it when I'm not going to stay again in the UK after Interview is done and dusted). Just need some answers whether it is worth it for me to spend that much money for something I won't need in the coming months. Thanks.
