Ok i know this is a really dumb question but going over my forms again i'm worried that i can't fit everything into the little boxes, addresses for one. I've tried looking for some sort of preference that says to wrap the text in the box, like in excel but i can't find anything. Any ideas?

Thanks for that Kim, I know I'm freaking out a bit and missing the stuff that's in the guide, it's weird, I read it and read it and still manage to miss whole parts of it

ooh another question, I need to get copies of my divorce decree and birth certificate notarised (?) can i use a justice of the peace to do this? i was looking at notary publics on the net but they charge like a bull and money is a bit tight.
cheers

Welcome Amaciar and Lux
I know how relieved I was to find this site, it's such a daunting prospect and even with all the practical and emotional support I'm still finding it a very stressful process, I'd hate to think how I'd have managed if we had to do it alone.
Anyways...now that my divorce is final I've thought of something else to worry about.
Rob needs a lung transplant and is on disability, we do have a financial sponsor but I'm worried they'll deny our petition because Rob is so sick and probably won't be working for some time to come. I do intend to work as soon as I'm allowed but I'm still worried.
Does anyone have any ideas? or opinions?

Hey Guys and Gals
Just an update, we're waiting on my divorce papers, which will be final 14 July, i have never, not ever, not even when i was 8 months pregnant, known a month to pass so slowly.
Been sort of avoiding the forums cos i know we still have a long wait and we're both finding this really really hard, I thought after meeting Rob in person it would be easier because there would be no doubts at all but it just seems to be harder cos we want to be together.
Anyways, as soon as I get my divorce papers i'll be sending them off to Rob so he can send in the petition.
It's good to see some people seem to be making progress
Looking forward to updating with good news soon

Counting down now to being able to file for the dissolution of my marriage, i understand it takes a month after filing to come into effect and as soon as i have the divorce papers in my hand i will send copies to Rob so he can send off our K-1 visa petition.
I'm very excited that we'll soon be able to start the journey.

thanks so much guys, I spent ages on the phone trying to speak to a real person at uscis to ask the same question and just ended up frustrated and with a headache

I'm having trouble filling out the forms for our k1 visa petition, my fiance is the applicant and usc, when it comes to the g-325a form for myself, am I the applicant or is my fiance? It seems to be more logical that I am the applicant and they would want to know all the information about me but it's the questions about where I have worked and lived in the states that's confusing me as I haven't worked or lived in the states, can anyone help?

it's the alien registration number. as a foreigner you probably never had one. it'll be on you NOA1.
you can put N/A or none on your forms
marjan
thank you

Both the I-129A and the G-325A refer to an A#, can someone please tell me what that number is?

Hi Guys,
tho i've posted in the forum before i thought i'd take the time to introduce myself and my loved one here in the kiwi/us thread, ha woudn't you know it i originally posted it in the wrong place and had to move it.
my name is michelle and my man's name is rob, we met on the internet, playing wow of all things
i'm currently with him at the moment visiting, our first visit since we fell in love and it has been wonderful, i've been here (Harmony, NC) since second of april and unfortunatley i have to go back 22nd may.
rob is on disability and lives with his parents and his nephew, rob is being being evaluated for a lung transplant and his doctor says it needs to be done sooner rather than later. unfortunately money is an issue and things are a bit of a mess here but i love him and i just want to get back as quickly as possible so i can be with him.
unfortunately we don't have a time line for the lung transplant or for me getting here as i need to sell my house and get a divorce so rob can start the whole visa process.
i thought i'd try and do all his side of the paperwork while i'm here in case my divorce comes through while he's in hospital, that way all he'd need to do is sign them and get someone to post them off, any thoughts on that?
another question is what is the A # they refer to in the i-129f and g-325a?
i've probably shared too much but all this seems very overwhelming and wouldn't you know it, i have 5 days left with rob and i get a cold sore
it's seems like the time has just whizzed by and the closer the 22nd gets the more anxious i get, i know i need to get back to nz and sort things out but i so want to just stay here, i guess we just have to be patient and get thru
hopefully it won't be too long before i'm posting that our process has started and we can eventually be together

Hello All
I'm new to the forum and I have a couple of questions I can't seem to find elsewhere.
My fiance is on disability and lives with his parents, who are also on social security/disability, and his nephew (who is still at high school and not working).
We are planning to ask one of our friends to be a co-sponsor but I'm unsure how many members of my fiance's household would need to be included in the income calculation, would it be all four of them plus our friend and his wife (7) or would it be just myself and my fiance and our friend and his wife (4)?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, i'm finding all of this really overwhelming.
thanks
Michelle
