No doubt it's up to the bartender on what kind ID to accept as proof of age.

To get a state-issued ID, she will need to have some document issued by the US govt. that shows she is in this country as a legal alien. The state-issued IDs are given out by the same offices where you get your drivers' license...usually called the DMV

The fact of the matter is that you don't need a lawyer. I used one to do my K1 application, but only because I didn't know about this site!!! Oh btw, he charged me $1,000 for the K1 and says he charges about $3,000 for AOS - I don't think so!!!!!!!

visa in colombia approved today. my girl will be with me july 31st. woohoo.

Did you read through the Embassy reviews? It appears by others timelines that it is delivered after the interview in just a matter of days. Many also stated they were told to have their SO attend a second interview...are you going with her?

In any case, try to get transferable tickets just in case, and the very best of luck to you!

yes i am flying to bogota next saturday and her interview is tuesday. she was going to come here later in july after she got her visa but if she can get it in only a matter of days i may just change my ticket and wait till she gets the visa and she can fly back with me.

by the way, i hope you know that the embassy is closed june 30th for a Colombian holiday, and it is also closed july 4th for the US holiday.

since june 28th is a saturday and june 30th is a holiday, you will not have any time to conduct business such as physicalls, payment of fees, clinic work and other tasks prior to your interview date of july 1st.

i would advise making appointments now for the clinic and medical exams the week of june 23rd.

there is no need to stay in bogota after the july 1st interview sinve the embassy now mails the visa by private currier service, Domesa, and you cannot any longer pick up the visa the following day of the interview.

your time frame for arriving in bogota is all screwed up.

move up your schedule and make your exam appointments now.'

the address and numbers of the doctor's office and clinic office are in the information packet mailed to your novia.

also, be prepared for the exam doctor to claim her vacination records are not up to date and to charge you at least 100 plus dollars to give the extra required shots.

Jmillien1 I am planning to send our packet 3 email to the bogota embassy today. I am planning on sending the ds-2100 and part 1 of the ds-230. That is all I have to send right? I can not believe your interview will not be till August! That means ours probably won't either. We were hoping for July.

yes we faxed in ds-2100, ds-230 part 1 and a photocopy of her passport. when i talked to the embassy they said everything was good and we just had to wait for a date. she said july or august. i was hoping for june but oh well. what can you do.

So I´m In Colombia visiting my Fiance. My father called me and told me he recieved the NOA2. I want to start filling out the rest of the paperwork needed, but i´m not sure if I can do everything from here.

I read that I need to fill out the affadavit of support at a US notary. Is there any way I can fill out in Colombia?

After recieving the NOA2 how long is it until my fiance recieves a interview date?

called the embassy today and now they're telling us it may not be till august. :(

read on here that if you fax packet 3 in by the 15th of each month you would get interview for the following month. talked to the embassy yesterday and they said interview won't be until july. :(
