She should only need the NOA1 extension letter, but you don't want her to miss her Biometrics appt. while abroad.....
if the bio letter come in while she is away i can always just change the appointment date....

hey. my wife hasn't received her bio appointment after 46 days and she will be going to colombia next month after her conditional card has expired. when she leaves the country is it only the NOA1 receipt she needs to take with her along with the expired conditional card to show that she has a 1 year extension?
thanks for the help, jeremy...

Hey. We just received a letter saying that my wife's case has been transfered to the California office and i was wondering if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Any advice please would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

The only number on there is this one. 1800 375 5283. I have been looking for the new orleans local number and i can't find it. I wish i could find someone else to take her but we don't really know that many people where we live. We are one hour from New Orleans.
and you won't find a local number... they do not handle the scheduling locally, AFAIK it is done by MSC. Try a Saturday... many ASC's are not so busy on that day...
I think they are closed on a saturday.

Hey. My wife has her biometrics appointment for december 5th and i was wondering how i can change it. I leave to go back to work december 3rd for 2 weeks and i was hoping we could just do a walk in before i leave to go to work. ( offshore ) My local office is in new orleans. I see some people talking about an infopass appointment but i'm not sure what that is. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

So i can just get one of my family members to take her. Does it matter if she doesn't speak english? Thanks for the help.
Interpreters are the "exception" to the admittance restriction to the biometrics area...
Yes but does she need an interpreter or not?

Do you have to go to the biometrics appointment with your wife or can she go on her own or with someone else. The reason i'm asking is that i work offshore and i leave on the 3rd of december and her appointment is the 5th.

I guess we'll just hold tight for another week or so and then decide what to do. Thanks for the help guys.

Well my wife recieved a text message and she wasn't sure what it was but it said package recieved. Could that be the NOA? Also they still haven't cashed our check yet and it has been 2 weeks. We are starting to get a little worried.
-
Could someone tell me how they notify you of the NOA? Is it by letter, Email, or a text message or something?
