  1. Hello..can someone help me get this right?

Which choice I put a mark on where it says.. Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship on your name?...what does it mean..I know I have to mark I got my citizenship through naturalization an enter the numbers in the box.

One more question..in #8b do I put my A# for when I was an alien ?

hi there, my fiance got his citizenship through naturaliszation, so on Q10 he just maked the box for naturaization.

if you obtained the citizen throu your parents that is when you answer the " have you obtained certificate in your

name?" otherwise you dont mark it. also go to the example forms and see how the question is answered, my answer

might be wrong, but am sure someelse will answer the question.

for question 8, i think you just say none.

    good luck.

Dont worry! Our check was cashed yesterday, we dont have NOA1 yet (I do have the number from the back of the check)

and we filed July 5th! Your time is coming up too. Give it another week. Also make sure to be able to find out when your check was cashed or the money order was cashed. :) :)

thanks for your comforting reply, our check hasnt been cashed yet.

  4. hi everyone, just got a quick question regarding Q23 on the DS-230, am just studing the form so that when the time comes to fill it up i will not have problems.

do you list primary and secondary schools or you just required to list higher learning institutions that you attended

    for example college or university?

    thanks for any response.

  5. hi every one, just one quick question, how do you prove you have been talking on phone if you call using phone cards?

my fiance has been keeping All the phone cards since we started talking, can i take them to the interview when the time comes? or is there another way of showing he has been using cards to phone?

    thanks

Depends on the phone card, and how you purchased them. I used phone cards, but they were purchased online, through one web-site. (I picked the card that had the best rate for the country I was calling, and I just re-filled it each time I needed to call....it had a permanent pin# and my home phone and cell # were programmed in, so all I had to do was dial the # I wanted to speak to.)

These types of cards often can produce a call log for you at your request....or if available, they'll have your call history on-line. You can then print that out, and take to the interview to prove phone communication. The phone cards purchased at little mom&pop type stores do not have this feature as far as I know.

    -P

he buys the cards from the mom&pops type stores, and we do not sms each other because my fiance doesnt have a cell phone.

  7. i everyone, my fiance just noticed that PART B of the i-129f form queston 2 says: ADDRESS, and question 15 also says : YOUR FIANCE(E) ADDRESS ABOAD. am currently i SOUTH AFRICA, but i will do the visa process in ZAMBIA.

my question is which address is question 2 asking for? and which adress is question 15 asking for? is it possible to receive packet 3 or 4 on my south afican address? since south africa has a door to door delivery system unlike zambia

    sorry for all the quesions.

    thanks in advance

  8. Hi. I just filed my I-129F appeal too. I put the address she gave me in the Philippines (I am USA). Got the receipt yesterday.

I looked at the address she gave me on the 129F and told her it did not seem like a proper mailing address to me because there was no house number. Just a Purok.

She said that according to her family the mail is delivered to the Purok President, who then hands it to the addresee. I know that the private package delivery (LBC) just goes to the neighborhood and asks around for the person. But I am still very hesitant to trust this address. Because I do not think it is a philippine postal system address.

I do not know who delivers for the U.S. embassy or whoever it is that sends her the K-1 application package.

So I have sent two mailings. One letter and one package to the address she gave me. It has been two weeks and nothing has arrived. So I have told her to get a post office box. Then I guess I will have to amend my appeal to change the address.

    Please advise.

hi everyone i have asked the same question about mailing adress, but didnt get a response so will ask again:

would it be okey for my fiance to fill my house adress as well as the p.o. box in the same space where it says ADDRESS

in the PART B OF THE I-129F? the reason been that zambia doesnt have a door to door delievery system, and i dont know how the consulate informs you of the packet 3 and 4, can anyone please answer this question

  9. Exactly what Laura said, you need to make sure that everything you fill out on the forms is the truth. Your legal status in another country is not going to affect you getting a K1 to the US.

Right but you must be accurate even if the information would impact getting the visa because the consequence of lie is even worse.

Thank you everyone i really really aprecate, all your help. more questions later.

  10. hi every one, can i list my current employment on the forms G325a even if am working illegally in another country (south africa)?, also can i list the address of that country on the forms were am currently residing? please help

    thank you

    in advance.

You need to prepare the forms accurately.

thank you Zeenusah for replying to most of my questions, so what you mean by preparing the forms accuratly is that i must include everything legal or illegal right?

  11. Never EVER lie on the forms  That is the quickest surest way to get yourself a nice little ban from entering the US.....for life.

You will need to get a police certificate for every country you have lived in for at least 6 months since you were 16 years old. The fact that you were in South Africa illegally will not affect you getting a visa to the US. The US does not care that you were in another country illegally as long as it was not the US.

Thanks alot for the reply, i will definatly take your advise.

  12. hi everyone, my fiance and i at this point we are just gathering information on the k1 visa before we can file the petition. the thing is for the past 2yrs i have been living and working in south africa illegally, i got their on a visiting visa.

my question is: when filling the forms in packet 3, should i mention that i have lived and worked in south africa for 2yrs even if it was illegally? will i need to produce a police certificate for south africa during interview? or should i not mention anything rather then i visited south africa? please help its really confusing

    thanks

    in advance

  13. hi everyone, i just wanted to find out if anyone knows whether the US Embassy in zambia sends the packets to the p.o.box or they phone or email to inform one to pick it up, because in zambia you dont get the door to door delivery of post to your residential adress expecially if you live in a remote area. can anyone give me some infor on this.

    thank you

    in advance
