  1. hi everyone, i received my green card on the 28th august,2009, so today i went to apply for a ssn card that doesn't have the restrictions written on it

(valida for work with DHS authorization). the person helping me said their system still shows my maiden name even though my green card has my

marriage name, so i had to prove my name change by showing my marriage certificate in order for them to process my application and was told it will take 4 weeks for my ssn card to be issued coz they have to do investigation.

has anyone ever experienced this before, because i don,t understand why the system still shows my maiden name. if anyone has experienced this

problem what did you do to resolve this? did you call uscis? if yes what number did you call?

    thank you in advance

  2. If you can believe, all things are

possible to him that believes. mark 9:23

Prayer is the voice of faith, believe in God

and the gift of salvation that he is willing

to give to anyone who believes and open

    their hearts to him.

God loves you and that will never change.

  3. are you a K1 visa holder adjusting status? if yes, then on question 16 you must put C 9, skip question 17. hope

this helps! also look at the example forms on visa journey.

    good luck

Hi Everyone, Please help me to answer the questions for EAD...

#16 - Go to Part 2 of the Instructions. (I don't see the Part 2) Eligibility categories. In the space below, place the letter and number of the category you selected from the instructions.

#17 - If you entered the eligibility category, © (3) © in item 16 above, list your degree, your employer's name as listed in E-verify ( I don't have an employer yet. )

    I don't know how to answer 16 & 17, should i leave it blank??

    Thanks..

  4. hi people, i just mailed the AOS package and am reading a post that says you need to send a duplication of evidence: for example

copy of the biographic page from passport ( 1 for i-485, 1 for i-765 and 1 for 1-131)

    copy of visa ( 1 for i-485, 1 for i-765 and 1 for 1-131)

same goes for the copy of i-94

i only sent one copy of each, will i get an RFE or its fine?

    thanks

  5. hi guys, just want to be sure on who completes and signs the forms for the AOS? is it me the wife or my Husband who is the UScitizen?

second question: i applied for the SSN when i arrived on the k1 and my card came out, now that am married and my last name has changed,

will this be the SSN that i will use for life ? if not when is the best time to update it, when we fill for AOS or before?

third question: what is biometric?

    thank you in advance

  6. Hi everyone, i arrived in the Us 2weeks ago and its so nice to be in the Arms of the man i LOVE.

will be getting married next week!

my question is on the vaccinations, during my K1 visa medicals i was given two vaccintions

-A drop of some vaccin in my month(i think for polio), then was given a shot on my upper arm.

the problem is i cant remember the name of the vaccination given to me on the arm, the doctor

did not ask me to provide any other vaccination records but said it was necessary to do the

    vaccinations that he give me.

my question is during the AOs how will i know which vaccinations i did since the medical report was

in t he sealed envelop which remained at the port of entry. from what i have read here am suppose

to submit a vaccination form with the AOS, does anyone know the name of the shot given on the arm?

    thanks in advance.

  7. I would like to first of all give thanks and prise to almight God, for making this journey possible for me and my fiance.

and to the VJ family thank you for your guidence and support that you give us over the past months, i salute you

    all.

On feb 26 2009, i passed the interview at the American Embassy in lusaka (zambia)

and i picked up the visa on the 3rd of march. The interview was very straight foreward

was not asked for any proof of relationship, just the tax returns (2008), letter from my fiances work,

    affidevite of support.

i will be travelling to the US on the 18th of march.

    once again thank you everyone.

  8. After my paper work leaves NVC it heads to US embassy in my fiancee home country. Will the embassy notify the petitioner, me that they have received her paper work from NVC?? Will they send me paper work telling me instructions for the next steps? Thank you

The embassy will contact the beneficary, either by phone or mail and will give beneficary instructions on how to process

    with the visa application.

  9. hi me again, two quick question:

does the embassy need intent to marry letter from beneficary also during the interview or is the one

that my fiance will provide enough?

question16 on ds 156 that says BUSINESS PHONE NUMBER, do they mean my work number or my our business number?

i know i said two questios, but here is a third question:

when filling out the other forms besides the DS156,is it better to type the answers or fill them in by hand? my hand writing is very messy!

    I appreciate your help

    thank you.

Sorry, missed your other two questions.

The DS-156 is for the foreign fiancee, not the USC petitioner. It would be the foreign fiancees business phone, if any.

You can type or hand write, makes no difference if they can read it. All our forms were handwritten.

Thank you for your Reply, am the foreign fiancee, DOES BUSINESS PHONE, mean number were i work or for my our business?
