I was married to an Us Citizen from Oct 2007 to June 2012 (4.5 years) and been a green card holder and permanent resident since 05/21/09. I remarried an Us Citizen in May 2013. Can I file for Citizenship yet or do I need to wait for the 5 year lapse comming May.? Since the N400 form says you can file if you've been married for 3 years.
Thank you for any advice

Good day all
I have Permanent Resident status and divorced my American Husband 18 months ago.
I got re married last week and are confused on what I need to get done with the USCIS to change my green card as I changed my last name and I'm sure I need to let them know about my divorce and getting re married?
Any advice out there?

I will be married to a US Citizen for 4 years in October. I've done my lifting of conditions and it has been approved. This man basically lied to me from the start and I wish to proceed with a divorce action. Would I have any trouble after receiving permanent residency and my conditions being lifted?

I was wondering if anybody know of any delays on AOS.
We submitted an AOS application for my 15 year old son in July 2009. He did his biometrix appointment and after that we received a NOA that his case has been transferred to California(originally Chicago). Ever since we haven't heard a thing..........the online case status just shows that it's being delt with.
Do anybody know of any delays or problems?

Hello Everyone,
I read an earlier post from a person who said they feel that their K-3 Was denied because of age difference.
Is this possible? It was my impression that as long as both parties were 18 or older, and could supply all the necessary
documentation needed to get approval, that would get approved. Does Age difference really matter in these cases?
Looking forward to everyones feedback....Thanks
My husband is 15 years older than me, and I came here on a K-3 Visa, absolutely no questions asked about our age difference. We had every single possible proof of our bonafide marriage....and we had no problem at the interview.............good luck

I had my biometrix done on Tuesday........
Anybody knows what happens next?
thank you.
Yeah same old, hurry up and wait! If you get lucky your petiton may get transfered to CSC and you may get the GC without an interview!
It took Claudeth about three months from the biometrics until she received her card. Take a look at the Immigration Timelines link at the top of the page, the stats may help.
thank you........
What is CSC?
How will we know if our case has been transferred?

you can submit together in one envelope (but with separate fee payment for each application/petition
thank you.......I'm sorry for all the questions.
What supporting documents will I need to include in the I-130 petition for my daughter?
thank you for your help....
I would have to read the instructions... you might be better served if you did that rather than get it second hand....
thank you........I did read the I-130 instructions......I was just wondering, since she is a child, if I should include things such as our marriage certificate, my birt certificate, that of my husband, proof of marriage and such.......but I guess I'll do that anyway.......rather more info than not enough.
Thanks for your help

Thank you so much.......your assistance is so valuable.
My daughter is in the US with me on a K-4 visa.(she is 14)........will her Alien number be the same as mine? as she was included in my I 130 application?
Do I need to complete a G325a, I 485 and I 864 for her too when we do the AOS?
Thank you.
An Alien number is unique and assigned to each alien and therefore is or will be different
She was included on your I-129F but not your I-130.... She will need her own I-130 in order to adjust status from K-4... So she will need an I-130 (if not previously submitted)/I-485/I-864 et al...
Thank you very much,
Am I then right if I say we will need to submit an I-130 for her and only once it is approved we can do the AOS for her? or can we submit the I-130 together with the documents for the AOS.......
This is so confusing........the whole time I thought she was automatically included with me......
thank you for the help.......

Hello Friends,
My daughter and I will fly out of South Africa on September 9th to Heathrow and from there to Chicago and then to Seattle.
I guess our Port of Entry will be Chicago then.
Any advice on what we can expect at the POE? Is there anything except our passports and consular package we need to keep with us?
Anything I should stress about?
What is this I-194 form? Is there anything that I can do now to prepare for POE?
Thank you very much.

You can get notarized copies of the documents. Hope that helps.
thank you so much.........How do you pay the I-864 onnline?
-
Hello friends.....
The documents the NVC needs for the DS230 package.......the birth certificate, marriage certificate and Police Clearance......must it absolutely be the originals, or will notarized copies be ok?
I'm so scared to send it and it gets lost......it's been such a battle to get it........
thank you for all your help on this journey.......

If my CR1 gets approved, do I still need to do Adjustment of Status once I enter the US?
No, no adjustment of status for CR1.
You do not have to deal with USCIS till it's time to remove condition on your CR1.
Leah
Wow.....thank you.....this is great news........

Hello Friends,
I got my K-3 Visa on the 30th of June, but since my CR1 petition is almost at the interview stage, I've decided to stay in South Africa until the interview.
If my CR1 gets approved, do I still need to do Adjustment of Status once I enter the US?
Thank you.
