Thank you, yes we are still at the I-130 stage with me living outside the US so that’s after we get approval

Hi All I wanted to ask two questions if any one can help 1. I am 99% i know the answer but just for clarification, as i am the beneficiary living abroad (UK citizen) and my husband applied for my i-130, he doesn't need to upload my passport or birth certificate or 2 pictures does he? I understood that the 2 pictures were only if i was living in the US and the beneficiary doesn't have to supply BC or Passport at this stage? i do have both 2. We are 100 days into our application so many months to go yet, we have never lived together and don't share any bank accounts or anything like that but over the past months we have uploaded 2 lots of evidence. Our first online interactions, our first meet in Chicago, our second meet in London to meet my family and the wedding in Vegas, lots of copies of letters and fb messages from families and birthday and valentines day cards and gifts and copies of flight info My husband is coming fro Xmas so we will do another upload of that trip too and then i go back to Iowa in March for another visit My second question is, should we bother with uploading WhatsApp convos? it just seems so random to just upload 9-10 screenshots but we text and facetime everyday so might be helpful? My dad offered to write an Affidavit for me to upload, is it worth it? I already uploaded copies of letters to and from my parents and his parents to each other talking about us as a couple Any advice would be amazing thanks Claire

Hi there My husband submitted our CR1 a month or so back I just remember back in 2016 i applied for a B2 i think i was going to go visit family for a while but i only completed the form and never paid the fee or anything like that as i never needed it but i just remembered applying for it now and i have the application number - just an FYI i have been entering the US with a valid ESTA for the last 10 years its never been brought up on the 1-130 it asks if anyone has filed a petition before on behalf of the beneficiary - does the above application relate to this at all? Should i mention it? Sorry if it seems obvious but due to the very long wait for approval i dont want to have any issues along the way many thanks Claire

Hi there can I ask, I’m a uk citizen and me and my husband applied for the I-130 about a month ago so a long wait ahead! im visiting him in august and wondered if i Should apply for GE - 2 questions: 1. can you apply while you have a pending immigration visa like I-130 does it cause any issues? 2. if by the time I leave in August I don’t have my GE approval will this cause issues? I have a valid ESTA just fyi thanks

Hi all i just wanted to ask, we completed our forms online a month or so ago, made a few adjustments as my address was wrong first time round and uploaded everything so we are happy with our application, we got notification that it’s been received and obviously paid the fee but I wanted to ask, if there was another error on the form (an error not a RFE) would we would have been told by now or would we only be told after 14 ish months of waiting I can’t think of an error per say we signed everything correctly and such but it’s just something I’ve been thinking about many thanks claire

Hi there Me and my husband (i live in the UK him in the US) completed both forms online last night but i have found a few errors - can someone help me? 1. Beneficiary's entry info: Were they ever in the US, we ticked yes. We didn't complete 46b c or d as I'm no longer in the US but i did complete 46a and put VWP as class of admission. Do I need to correct this? 2. i-130a form - all my addresses and employments for the last 5 years are on this form with start and end dates so the form isn't actually missing any data but question 8a 'last physical address outside the US' we left blank as i already put my current address in the history box - should this be corrected? 3. info about my employment, all my employment info is on the form but on part three i accidentally put my oldest employer instead of my most recent/current 4. as i completed the form online on my computer and emailed to my husband we have left the 'preparers' parts blank, i don't think this is wrong but wanted to add to my questions anyway 5. finally the spouse beneficiary's signature is left blank as per the instructions but has been dated, I see so many people saying they printed and signed it - should i do this? many thanks for any help, we spent so long on this form but its so hard to understand and i really don't want any delays or rejections - if the above do need correcting do i write my corrections on a blank paper and upload to additional info? yes i did see this but it only mentions the petitioners pictures are needed if the spouse lives outside the US - that's what I want to clarify

HI there I am seeing lots of conflicting information regarding the photos needed in this form I am a UK national living in the UK and my husband (living in the US) is filing the 1-130 tomorrow for us and the 1-130a - do i need to also provide passport style photos? It says only if i live in the US but others have said they included it anyway Should i include or leave for a later date if they request it? Any up to date advise is much appreciated thanks Claire

Hello all Sorry if this subject has been answered to death, I'm struggling a little to find a list on here but if anyone has already answered please do let me know I got married last week and once we get the marriage certificates we will be filing the online application for CR-1 The main question I have is, what do I need to have right at the start of my application, as in literally when my husband goes to make an account to start the application I assume we need to scan in a copy of the marriage cert but do we need to provide any other evidence at that time, or is this something they request once complete? Do i need to provide proof of relationship at this time or my passport (i am the foreign national UK) or anything like this or do we just complete the form itself? Also as we are filing online will scanned copies be okay and then i assume they ask for hard copies at a later time? Does he need a scanned copy of my passport or anything like that The licences should come in about 3-4 weeks so I would rather have everything ready to go then if needed Many thanks Claire

Hi all so sorry if this has been asked but I am from the UK and I’m marrying an American in April and we are planning the visa process so I can live in the US Are there any links people can provide or information already on here to help me understand the process basically when we get our marriage certificates literally what is the first step, a sort of guide for dummies I guess sorry again if this is a repeat but anything could be amazing thanks Claire
