Well it is very hard to say and I don't want to make too many bold assumptions, but in an organized world one would assume that as labor finished on whatever sections are 'current' they might be allocated to one that 'remains' to mop up. In my mind it would be organized to finish late July and and early August, then do Late June/Early July (These seem to be in the same lump?) and then Late August. It just kinda looks like they are focused on working through Late July / Early August at the moment from the numbers while somebody is 'sorting' inbound applications. Who knows though, as organized and sensible as that sounds predictions are worth so little. I'd welcome other thoughts of course, and temper my assumptions with the knowledge that they are only that.

here's whats up as of last week. One RFE was received and one moved to 'other' in our group. I see that 'Late July' (If we are 'Early July' ) continues to move without anything new happening with any speed from September onwards. My suspicion and hope is that when 'late july' finishes, they return to 'early july'. Now... What the heck does 'other' mean?

I also think this is how it is represented, but admittedly I am tired and not feeling very smart these last couple of days. When you say 'go under 1500' you mean to say you had hoped they would have processed enough to have less than 1500 left?

Interestingly the information in the public site and my personal case don't seem to agree. The public site shows 17 cases approved in the last 7 days and 444 approved in the last month This does not seem to align with the information on the backend of my case subscription. Maybe I am just not smart enough to reconcile the numbers..... opinions welcomed.... but it looks like these do not match. Also somewhat worryingly is that I see no approvals etc from November and december; And idea what this means? Are they simply pruning the rejections first before processing the rest?

Just had a look at the numbers. In the past week, 1 case was moved from 'received' to 'Other' - no further changes or updates to the numbers on our range.

I absolutely relate. My person has been in some scary situations which I would have preferred to be around for, but watching at a distance has me feeling very powerless and upset. I feel you. I hope your case is moved along quickly, it's very hard to sit by and wait while the world does not stop, isn't it?

Hey there, The short version is that it seems USCIS has put another stack of applications from Jun 28 to July 11 on a separate table to 'do them later'. We don't know why they did it, but we think it was to keep their numbers / turnaround time looking good. That said, as of today there is a little fresh movement - I think several RFEs and two approvals went out!

You could theoretically write your local or state representatives, or at least that is what I have seen written on the forums here and am now parroting. I think it would be a conflict of interest and a security risk for someone employed at a government agency to do so, but I also wish it was possible. The upside of this is that I have a TMVN subscription for free and I will share updates as they come, we are all in the same boat after all. So far no intel on our group / no changes - your date has no approved cases so no change on your day, nor mine. Fingers crossed that things move ASAP. Being patient is a given, but IMO even though it is 'common' and I feel calm about it and although I am not challenging the process and I respect it, it does seem to me that it is unfair to apparently arbitrarily hold over a group of applicants in favor of another. Oh well, restating it doesn't help it - we all understand. I am happy for the folks who are having better luck than I. Who knows, maybe some of them will be my neighbors ;)

Yes, it is easy to see it as luck of the draw but it is a system and not really up to chance. We will persevere. Looking forward to heading from you folks as things start moving again.

Yes, it does feel unjust. On the upside I would suggest keeping an eye on this thread as there is hope. There are folks already reporting having their cases approved, so it's still only a matter of time.

"USCIS has temporarily skipped cases filed between June 28th and July 11th, 2024. It seems that USCIS has skipped a batch of cases again as referenced here so I am starting a thread to track things with other people in our group. Personally we filed on July 3rd, got our NOA 1. No NOA2 or other movement as yet.

Thanks, I didn't think to put it there! Yeah - I have never heard of that form before, it's definitely a consideration. Very curious about the prevalence of that being issued, and I wonder if MTL is going to gear up in light of the fact that there has been an uptick in applications of late.

I have never heard of this before. When you say 'randomly' - what is the prevalance we are talking about? 1 in 20?

Yes, I am from Canada. I am having some trouble figuring out what interview times are and comparing the data, or even knowing which sources to consult for establishing an interview timeline. Some folks say Montreal is a long wait, others have been very short.... I am the beneficiary in an I-129F petition. We expect our petition to be approved and adjudicated soon. I have the ability to end my tenancy at any time starting two months from this point. I have the ability to move in with my parents to conserve resources when those two months are up. I am afraid of giving notice and then occupying space at my parents for 'longer' than expected. At what point do I start assuming the affirmative with regards to my process and give notice on my apartment? Assuming the interview goes well, is it safe to begin planning to do so when the interview is in sight?
