  1. I really wish I could but he's all I got and the house is valued a good chunk. I guess it'll have to be a gamble to see if they'll accept it.
  2. Hi everyone, I'll shoot straight. My wife lives with her parents and now I live with them too, my circumstances have changed drastically and I need to get documents to prove I won't be a public charge. Her parents don't work, my wife doesn't work due to health issues but pays rent and the only joint sponsor I have is her brother who will use his property as an asset for me on his Affidavit of Support. - Considering our household size, do her parents file an affidavit of support for me too? Are they even included when they ask about household? - What documents and forms would my brother in law need for this?
  3. My wife is filing for me to get a CR1, and she is not able to financially support me at all, so her brother is stepping in to be my financial sponsor. In 1.a, the basis of filing, does he just refer to himself as a petitioner and brother-in-law? He does not live with her. My wife, as we know, isn't able to be a financial sponsor; does she still need to do a separate I-864? If so, is she still a joint sponsor? Is her brother the sole joint sponsor? What do we cross in this situation? We are so confused.
