It may depend on how "being used for a green card" is coming into your mind. If a person has a good job and strong family ties where they are there isn't much to gain currently by getting a green card. If there is a worry about the other person having "another life" the sign are basically the same as outing a married person out for a good time. Something has started the basic thought of " he might only want a green card because .... " Whatever that reason is make a list of why you think that and why you think it just can't be true. For example if you think he has another life write down the whys and why nots. Put the list in your night stand for a week. Re read it. Hopefully you will just laugh and throw it away

What embassy did your fiance went??? I'm not sure if they do have a US embassy in Kosov right now.
they dont........she is talking about the embassy in skopje, macedonia.......that embassy takes care of both kosovo and macedonia.....
kosovo has an embassy in pristina, but does not issue visa's
-
If the embassy decides to send the k1 petition back.....I, the petitioner was notified by email....but would the beneficiary have been
notified as well...and if so..how would the embassy do it......meaning, by letter ??????
I think a little more detail is necessary. Normally, the beneficiary would be notified that the visa was not being issued and the petitions being sent back because the visa denial occurs at the time of the interview. How is it that you, the petitioner know that the beneficiary's visa was denied and petition sent back and said beneficiary does not know. The K-1 visa, once it reaches the consulate is the beneficiary's process, the petitioner only provides support documents, but it is the beneficiary applying for the k-1 visa. If said visa is denied, the beneficiary should be the first to know.

I was requesting an extension of time due to him not having his police certificate......they did grant me one and it was up january 28th..today..
so i emailed them on january 22 asking for and extension...today January 28th i received the email stating that i could not have the
extension therefore my petition was expired on the original date and was going to be sent back and i would have to refile.....i have not been
able to get hold of my fiance and i am wondering if they would have notified him by mail or whatever about this petition being sent back....
that he knew this for some time before i recieved my email???? is this possible?????

today i was denied an extension of my K1 petition......and the embassy also denied ever giving me an extension and said that
the peition expired september 28, 2008. I have their emails where the extension was granted and sent that back to them....
all this happened because of a delay with the police certificate in kosovo ...with all the confusion going on in that country ....
i have no idea what to do next.............

Hello,
I'm so happy that I found this place. Now I can post everything that will happen to me and my future wife. We can post together and hopefully get the encouragement that we really need.
Anywas, she wants to apply for a k1 fiancee visa for me with USCIS. We just need to know one thing before we start with this. I tried to apply for a visitor visa but was denied twice. And she doesn't want to leave the U.S. So, one requirement is missing here. We have never met. But we have been corresponding for 4 years now. We have sent photos and always talked on the phone. I just wanna know if it is at all possible to apply for the k1 visa with a reasonable explanation for the lack of that requirement. Is it at all possible to start?
why wouldnt you wanna meet your fiance first??? what if you dont like each other in person??...........never meeting someone in person
and going thru this emotionally draining journey thru the governments to marry, you better be sure you met that person and this frustration is what you and her
want to spend the next 6 + months doing depending of course your country......and not to mention
the cost of this ride thru the system..........
good luck.........
-
Days are moving fast Thank God...and I hope they'll approve her visa.
hey shpat.......hope all goes good.....was just thru your wifes town in kosova couple weeks ago.......good luck
to her for the interview...you will have to let us all know how that goes...................

I am really baffled. Your fiance loved you so much that she endured this entire process, as well as paid big bucks to bring you here. Even up to the day of boarding the plane, and the 7 hour flight over the ocean, and how ever many hours it takes to get to your final destination. And to top it off, the taxi driver wouldn't take you to her home (what was his explanation?). And in this few hours she went from a commited love to "go home"?
Man that is the weirdest story I have EVER heard.
I am assuming that you want to go home, is that correct? Because if you don't marry her there is no way you can stay. So I think your best advise is to do as they say, call your consulate.
is this guy for real????.............if this is all true....you are still outta the country.....if this is just b.s. you are wasting a lot of peoples
serious time......and your story does not add up....so where are you now?

My husband and I handle it in different ways. As others have offered, what keeps me stable is everyday, in almost everything I do, I envision us together. When I drive to work, I look at the neighborhoods, and envision us buying our first home together. Literally, I envision us getting the keys, decorating, relaxing. I envision us grocery shopping together, and I feel his arms around me when I watch a movie. When I'm sad, I close my eyes, and think about a perfect moment we'll have in the future. It's funny, but these thoughts are ALWAYS of ordinary, day-to-day things, that are taken for granted. My favorite, is envisioning us waking up on a Saturday, him dragging me out of bed (he's a disturbingly happy person in the morning- kinda irks me!), and drinking coffee together while we read the newspaper. It's almost as if in doing these things to help me smile, I'm inserting him into my daily life, and he feels closer to me. This time apart is #######, but we have so many wonderful, simple things to look forward to.
My husband, well that's a different story! He doesn't cope as well as I do. He becomes very sad, and it's difficult to cheer him up. And I think one of the main reasons why he is not coping as well as I is because he does not find it natural to envision our future time together. He lives in the here and now, and for him, he's consumed with grief because "I can't have you in my arms now". I think it's also perhaps a cultural thing for him, to live in the present. Every time we talk, (twice a day), I go through a future scenario, trying to instill more hope in him. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. What makes him feel better is me being present for him- affirmation of my present love, assurance.
I don't know if any of that was advice, but it's how my husband and I do it. It's pretty crummy, and I remember the first month or so I was away from him, I wrote a similar post that you just did. I asked if the pain was going to become easier. My experience, is Yes and No. Some days I'm ok- i'm content with talking and thinking about the future. Some days, I'm just plain not ok. But over the last 5 months since I've seen him, it hasn't gotton ridiculously worse. I get to see him in 5 weeks, and compared with the last 5 months since we've been apart, that seems totally manageable.
And while the time apart is really, really challenging, I truly believe that our relationship will be better for it. Time apart forces you to communicate on a different level; it forces you truly listen to each other, because unless you like to hang up on your spouse, you're forced to work through any conflict or misunderstanding in a direct way. Words become more important. And, I believe most importantly, time apart allows you to have the opportunity to not take for granted time spent together, even the small, seemingly mundane events. I want to strangle my brother sometimes when he gripes about his girlfriend or says, "we're doing nothing. I'm bored. Just watching a movie". I CAN'T WAIT to "just" watch a movie with Edi! So, the time apart can be viewed as a gift, I suppose (Even though the gift would happily be returned if given the opportunity!)
So, good luck with this journey you just started, and take the positives from it that you can, and do everything you can to not let the negative consume you.

everyone has their way to cope...staying in touch anyway possible is the only thing that keeps ya sane with this wait and a lot of prayers....i really dont think it will ever get easy.....you just tolerate it.....cuz there is nothing else you can do........

Thanks for the info mate, i'm in New Jersey. My Wife will probably have the car ownership in her name solely at the moment, as i don't have my SSN or EAD yet, but once i have that, is it possible to add me later on as a joint owner?
I believe you will be able to do that, I guess first she will have to contact the bank or lending society and take it from there, maybe you can call the DMV and ask about the process as well.
Once you get your driving license she can add you to the car insurance that is also a good document to have!
Just remember that if you are a driver on a newish car, being 19 and no driving experience your premiums are going to probably cost more than the monthly payments on the car.
Since there will be a bank lien on the car, the title will be kept by the bank or other lending company. The title will not come to her until the loan is paid off. So, to have the property transferred to you as joint owners (once you have the SSN and a drivers' permit) it will require the bank's approval as well as the Division of Motor Vehicles. If you have no credit history, the bank might balk. As noted, the insurance premiums will skyrocket, depending on where in New Jersey you live. Best to leave it alone and try to pay off the loan as quickly as possible.
I think the plan is for her to buy it and for my mother-in-law to be the co-signer for the loan. I will be added to the insurance once i have the license. I will be paying off the car with her, even though it wont be in my name, so wondering how i can be legally added to that obligation eventually?
Your wife would have to refinace the car loan in order to have you added. Because your wife has a co signer, it will be nearly impossible to have the car refinanced. There's the chance that several years down the road, once the lending institution feels confident that your wife will make payments on time etc. They may allow her to refinance and add you. At least this is the way it works in Northern Kentucky.
you are just asking if you can be put on the title of the car?.....in wisconsin.....you can own a car if you dont have a license, and you can be
put on the title even if you are not the one paying for the car..........you can own joint own a car without driving it.....or maybe i didnt get
what you are quite asking.......

McCain looks like he hasn't had an original thought since he decided to sign that confession in a North Vietnamese prison camp.
you seem as irked as Obama is right now
McCain is rude and behaves like a splinter in the ### ......

it is my understanding that if you don't provide all the paper requested, your petition and visa will be held up until you provide it.
you have to find away to get what the embassy requests.
it's worst if your SO has lived in more than one country. then you have to get it for each.
good luck
yes that is usually the way it works, but the police department has yet to provide this police certificate...it was requested months ago and they
have all papers to do so....the are sitting on this for whatever reason...and it is not just my fiance but there are other people on here that
are having this same problem....
-
Can the embassy that is doing the interview request the police clearance certificate if the police have delayed giving this for months?
Who has jurisdiction or authority to give the police department a gentle "push" in processing this paper in a timely manner?
Can the police dept. actually stall this visa process by their improper handling of this paper??????.....Does the usc or beneficiary have
any rights to have this paper done in a timely fashion???....

Fans of Brit comedy might appreciate this more, but anyway....
McCain is scary...he picked palin what does that say about his decisions....or medication or maybe he needs more medication.....and sarah palin
is so ignorant she is scary.....and could not lead a girl scout troop much less step in for McCain if the U.S. was so unlucky to get them elected....
-
OMFG!!!! Why do they even let her give interviews?
because SNL needs new scripts........she is unbelievably ignorant....but she wears that so well......
-
good luck at your (job) interview!! Make me some money yo! LOL
What? ahhaha you're my pimp now?
good luck with your job interview....... B)

hi everybody, well after a long wait i decided to share my probleme with visa jounery users, and i hope i can find any help, well i just got my fiance visa, iam a male, and my fiance decided to leave for someone else, iam still in my country, and i already got a ticket to leave to the state, and the news came as a break,i dont know why,how or when, but she decided so like that, she is a nice person and i always have respect and love to her,my question is,is there anyway to leave to the state and stay there legaly,a friend of me who she is citizen proposed her help by a marriage certificatre, she do work with the gouvernement as a police officer,my wonders are,if i go to the state and without over straying my period,i marry my friend, can i apply to adjust statut?is there any other way to do it?and i heard that if i over stay my period, even by 180 days, and i get banned for 3 years or 10,i have the right to pay for it,and get the record earsed by money,i mean legaly because i have read it here somewhere,i hope i get some info from you and if you need any other info i can provide, thank you.
sad story...but the fiance k1 visa is for the one who petitioned, you can't come here and marry someone other than the petitioner.....you have
90 days upon entrance to the united states to marry the petitioner and that person only, that would be fraud if you married someone else..

I have a stepsister who is actually from Alaska she tells me Palin only has local government experience.
Scary.
Palin is the governor of Alaska, so I guess that would be local experience versus national since she has never served in Washington like the rest of the ticket.
Wow.....isnt she just the qualified soccer mom vice presidential candidate...
She is about as qualified as Obama, only he's running for President.
when asked what she knew about Russia she replied you know you can see russia from here, from a small island in alaska....guess she is pretty
wordly in foreign affairs.....and really shined when she danced on the idea of war with russia...maybe she should look at a map and see there
is more to russia than what she can see from alaska.....

Palin didnt even know what the "bush doctrine" was......think she was at a soccer game when that came about
-
Let's be fair. She said if Georgia was a member of NATO and Russia invaded Georgia, then perhaps we'd have to go to war with Russia.
That is, after all, what the treaty requires.
If we don't want to go to war with Russia, perhaps we should not let Georgia into NATO.
perhaps sarah palin should be more educated in government.....think she makes a better soccer mom than a vice presidential candidate.....
what could McCain possibly have been thinking when he picked her....oh, i get it ...he wasnt thinking.....maybe too much medication....

I found out today at my job that almost 100% of the employees are illegal immigrants from Mexico including all of the workers I am responsible for as a supervisor / operations manager of a landscaping company. I just started 3 weeks ago and in no way had anything to do with the hiring of the workers but am responsible for their day to day activities and may move into more of a managerial position over a division of the company (maintenance) in the near future.
I just received notice that my green card has been produced and have been working on a EAD. Does anyone know if this could impact my immigration status from a purely judicial view? I think I will resign my position either way but for future reference I would appreciate any input.
I am ticked off to find this out after spending 3 years of my life and upwards of $6000 to immigrate here from Canada by the rule book then see these guys waltz in under the radar but thats another story.
Now that you are aware of who these employees are, and have decided not to report them or the employer, you could be charged with aiding and abetting felonious crimes...and deported as a result.
think your employer needs ICE.......i am way sick of illegal immigrants.....if they have to sneak in here ....what makes them think they are
welcome.....who would like people coming in the backdoor of their house and staying.....same thing......you have a right to be angry
over this.....after what you have went thru.....to come here legally......

Well my honey mailed our package to the California Service Center September 2/08. I called the USPS 1-800 line today with the tracking number provided, I first checked online with the tracking number and it says its still sitting at the post office in Antigo.
When I punched in the number on the 1-800 number, it says it doesn't exist. So, after many #'s pressed and redirected 5 or 6 times, I finally got to speak to a real person.
Who said, it will take two or three days to arrive, call back when that has passed. I asked him if he had a calendar, the 3 days have passed. So, I was told to call back son Monday and they will put a trace on it. So, I guess I'm sharing this because we didn't make copies of the pictures we sent. Not a good move on our part as we don't have many pictures of us together. I hate having my picture taken. We did make copies of all the paperwork though.
So for people sending in their package, copy EVERYTHING. My honey is concerned about identity theft with the amount of info you have to give, his SSN, plus you bank cheque with signature, acct #, bank branch etc. We are hoping that its because of the holiday week it's just a little late getting there, even though the only scan shows sitting at the post office it was mailed at. Hopefully this isn't a sign for the rest of our journey.
We have exactly the same problem. The petition was posted on the 2nd and still not trace or even a sign it was sent. The tracking number seems to be useless so far. It is driving me mad. We are hoping the cheque will be cashed soon so that will at least tell us that VSC received it. In the meantime, the identity theft is a real worry. But we have to keep our chin up...nothing else left to do. Very frustrating.
Hope it all resolves soon. Best of luck to you both.
Remember folks - the posting, checking in, etc. of the I-129f, as well as cashing the check (a function performed in a different area than the processing) is all government work. You sent the package on the 2nd, the day after a holiday weekend is up. Lots of government and other employees take the week off, and the office(s) may be short handed. All this is to say that the three days may turn into four or five. No worries.
mine was sent on january 7, 08.......check finally cashed on january 28th and noa1 january 30......i didnt get any notification
....i kept
checking and waiting cuz that was a time of huge backlogs...nothing ....in march i called and got all this info.......
OK, K1 Petition was approved, but Now I don't want to use it
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
it is exactly this type of situations that CLOG up the system and make the embassy's so suspicious.....would you have kept the petition for the
first girl if you wouldnt have met the next "better" one?.....sounds like maybe you should take this time to think so your next filing is what you
really want.......if you were so unhappy and she was so distrustful you should not have gone this far in the process and sounds like you were
looking for a replacement while waiting for the k1 to be approved.....
......
