  1. What about doing a new application for an interview in Warsaw or Kazakhstan ?
  2. She owns her own apartment in Russia. Has a job where she's worked for past 10 years also. Bank account with savings.
  3. I am going to speak to her Saturday. I will suggest we just do a new application for either Kazakhstan or Warsaw for the interview. And complete honesty on the form. Do officers quickly deny if someone admits going to the USA to meet their SO or it ok? Thanks all.
  4. Here is the agency's response when asked why they did this: Thank you for reaching out and we understand your concern. As per point of arrival we recommend to put New York or Los Angeles as more touristic destinations. When Liuba is going to have her visa interview with consular officer he/she will find it suspicious being that the person who have never been to the USA is going to Atlanta, but not NY, LA, SF, Miami, etc. They are very good psychologists and have a lot of experience to filter cases that doesn't have a direct tourist purpose. Therefore, we recommended to put NY. As far for the dates, it is also doesn't look good on the application that the Applicant is flying to the USA straight after the interview, in their mind the trip needs to be planned at least 3-6 months ahead, unless it is an emergency, and tourism is never an emergency. Nevertheless, if Liuba gets approved, she can fly the USA straight from Bucharest to Atlanta with no problem. The Visa is going to be issued from the next date of interview and it will be valid. As far as what to say at the airport: she can either say she had a convenient flight option from Bucharest and she is flying to NY in just couple of days and her plans changed, being that Russia has extended winter holidays she decided to use this option.
  5. @Boiler She went to Vladivostok last week to submit all documents. Waiting.....
  6. Thanks all for the input! @smilingstone I am thinking this is the best idea. But now with the recent law changes, she will have to go to a designated embassy (Warsaw) for the interview (will check scheduling times). She filed a while ago before this change (where she could choose Bucharest). Sounds like a new filing/pay fee with honesty on the forms and a new interview date is the best way to proceed.....
  7. @Boiler She was nervous and felt like she needed guidance through the whole process. She sprung it on me after she paid them and completed the forms. Wasn't too happy about this. @Crazy Cat I think you are 100%. Hiding that she is coming to visit her significant other. @PGA yes, agree about that address and suspicousness I just wrote to the agency (which could be pointless) asking about why they suggested/did this.
  8. Hello all, My friend has her interview in Bucharest Romania on December 30th. Our plan was for her to visit me in Atlanta in early January. She found an agency and "supposedly" they helped her fill out the forms. But she sent me this and now I am concerned: Travel Information The List of Purposes of Trip to the U.S. Purpose of Trip to the U.S. (1): TEMP. BUSINESS OR PLEASURE VISITOR (B) Specify: BUSINESS OR TOURISM (TEMPORARY VISITOR) (B1/B2) Have you made specific travel plans? YES Provide a complete itinerary for your travel to the U.S.: Date of Arrival in U.S.: 01 MAY 2026 Arrival City: NEW YORK Date of Departure from U.S.: 12 MAY 2026 Address where you will stay in the U.S.: 133 GREENWICH ST City, State, Postal/Zip Code: NEW YORK, NEW YORK 10006 I have no idea why they put New York. Are the listed Specific travel plans "set in stone" or does the officer know this is a guess/approximation? There is no reason for her to go to NY. Thanks for any advice.....
  9. Thank you S2N. I know it will be a huge challenge (having to submit waiver, etc) so your advice to get a lawyer will definitely be part of my journey.
  10. Thanks OldUser. Will store on flash drive also.... She will be going to Bucharest in December to try for a tourist visa to USA.
  11. Hello I am still very early in my journey but wanted to do some planning. For Proof of relationship, do we need to print all chats, emails, etc? Or is digital format accepted? Thanks!
  12. Hello OldUser and thanks for the reply. I guess our issue is....misinformation? She spoke to someone in Russia and they said she will get denied because she hasn't travelled in 12 years. Does that matter? She has a job and apartment (she owns) that she will come back to.
  13. Hello VisaJourney friends. I am looking for some advice/direction. My friend lives in Russia. I am in Georgia USA. We are hoping she can get a tourist visa to come visit me.
