  1. Here is the link to the simple one.

Here is the link to the detailed one.

The links above have been updated.

    Links have been updated: 06/30.

You can add ours as well. Timeline should be below..no touches since we received the NOA1 receipt on March 25th.

Okay, so I thought your timeline was automatically linked to your signature...anyway

    March 15th sent I-129F for K1 Visa

March 25th Received NOA1 receipt and cashed check.

    No touches since

I am only tracking K-3 Visas. But if you are interested in maintaining a sheet for K-1 visas, let me know and I will help you set up a spreadsheet.

I emailed the spreadsheet (simple version) to a representative at a congressman's office I know. I'm asking them to plead to VSC.

    Thank you! Hope this helps!

You can update it with my I-130 touch that happened Today 6/30!

(Well, technically, now it's July. Happy July everyone!)

Great news! Can't wait to see your approval coming soon!

    Approved today!

    Congratulations!

JIM you have done fantastic job.Your time lines(130) are same as mine including touches. Can you add my 129 F info to chart.

    129 F sent on 2/23

    NOA 1 date : 2/26

    Thanks.

    Hopefully VSC moves faster...

Sgr, I have added your I-129 info to the list.

Thank you to those who sent updates and kind comments :)

Ok, let's see some more approvals coming so I can add more GREEN cells. Please VSC!

  3. Wow, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. :) I think your sheet is great and ambitious. I have no idea how you are going to keep up with the touch tracking, but I wish you the best. I just handed my IR-1/CR-1 sheet off to a successor to keep it alive and wish her the best in her immigration journey. I am glad I was able to help some people through this arduous journey. I check my PMs occassionally, so if you want to pick my brain for anything, just shoot me a message.

    Good luck!

Thanks Delicia. I know you really helped the CR1 filers. I am always checking VJ to look for recent approvals so I figured I may as well attempt to be useful. I am not working at the moment and have lots of time at home while my husband is at work, so I am happy to work with spreadsheets (like I mentioned earlier, I'm a numbers person and something about Excel is enjoyable to me).. Call me crazy... (Go Yellow Jackets!)

Hope you enjoy the time with your husband. I am in the opposite situation as you... I have been staying with my husband in his country since December and am about to head back to the States in July... One can only live on credit cards for so long... We were hoping that he would be able to come with me in July, but now it doesn't look too promising.

Best of luck to you in the remainder of your VJ.

    -Carol

  4. Ok... I have updated the spreadsheet.

I created one "simple" version in addition to the "detailed" version. The detailed version has about every data sort I can think of. The simple version just has the data sorted by "I-130 sent date".

Here is the link to the simple one.

Here is the link to the detailed one.

    Thanks for your updates.

Keep them coming so we can get a more accurate representation of data :)

  5. Pink & Babybebita, Thanks for your responses... I have updated your dates...

The updated version can be found: here.

I have added a rough draft of the California Filers Spreadsheet... I have only sorted by I-130 Filing Date so far, but will add the other spreadsheets tomorrow (Fiji time).

I have also added a comparison for VSC vs. CSC in regards to % of petitions approved. Right now, it is organized by date I-130 filed. However, tomorrow I can compare using the I-129F Sent and NOA1 dates as well...

ok, Its 11pm here so I'm heading to bed, but will check back tomorrow.

Hope to see more approvals by the time I check in tomorrow!!!

  6. This thread is in response to a thread I saw requesting the Delicia add K3 filers to her spreadsheet. I understand the reasoning behind keeping CR1/IR1 and K3 separated. Therefore, I have started this spreadsheet for K3 filers, like myself, who are waiting for their NOA2. I am a numbers person and I like to see when people near my filing date are getting approved.

You can find the spreadsheet here.

So, thank you Delicia for showing us how Google Docs can be used. I have never tried this before but am always interested to learn new tools. So I figured I would give this one a shot...

    1. For all the California filers, I plan to add those spreadsheets tomorrow.

    2. Both California and Vermont filers can send me their updates/changes and I will be happy to update the spreadsheets.

    3. Cells highlighted in GREEN refer to approvals that have occurred over the last month.

    4. Cells highlighted in YELLOW refer to recent touches. (Disclaimer: We all have seen that approvals sometimes happen with or without previous touches. But this is just another indicator that I was curious to track.)

    5. If anyone has any suggestions for changes to the layout of the spreadsheet or additional columns, averaging wait times, etc... I will gladly take those suggestions also.

    5. Lastly, If anyone would like to volunteer to share the updating responsibility, you are always welcome to do that also.

Ok, Best of luck to everyone and wishing you all speedy approvals.

  7. i doubt it, but at least it'll get read.(i hope)

Who are you foks sending these letters too???

Why not the Acting director of USCIS?? He is the one who says what get processed, and what gets tossed aside.

    Paris Heart

I agree ith Paris on this one guys. The Ombudsman hasn't done 'Jack' to get anything really changed in the past .... they've been wanting the I-130's processed as soon as they arrive .... and USCIS said 'NO'!

Bombard the acting Director of USCIS .... he's new and will obviously want to make a mark for himself in his position ... maybe he will see clearing the I-130's as just that.

Anybody know the email address for Jonathan Scharfen, Acting Director, USCIS ???

I cannot seem to find it on the net.

  8. i sent him

    SUBJECT: I-129F/K1 priority over 1-130?

"Hi, My name is Daniel, and i'm a U.S. citizen with a currently pending I-130 Petition at the Vermont Service center. I've read your reports on the USCIS and I had a question maybe you could answer for me.

I've been waiting for over 5 months for ANY information about my case, and I've noticed that I-129F/K1 filers seem to get approvals SO much faster than I-130 filers, sometimes within a month.. which seems a bit funny to me, as an I-130 would constitute a an existing family, and a I-129F/K1 filer is people who haven't even married yet. Is there a reason they give Fiance Visa's more attention than Marriage Visas?

Someone called the Vermont center, and the agent actually confirmed that I-130's are given the least priority, even among Tourist and Work Related Visas. That blows my mind.. These are families waiting to be together, and TOURISTS are given more priority? why??

Thank you for your time, i hope i get a reply..

BTW, my case number is **blanked out*** if that helps any.."

if you guys want do the same. i'm probably not as educated as you guys are on the subject, but i hope i got some of the point across..

Someguy, Great letter. Thanks for the template. I sent a similar one just now. I am a paired I-129/I-130 Filer and realize this is CR-1 forum but thought I would post this here as well.

    Mr. Dougherty,

My name is Carol Kawa, and I am a US Citizen Petitioner. I currently

have two petitions pending with the Vermont Service Center: I-130 and

I-129F. My husband is the beneficiary. I have read your reports on the

DHS website and have a few questions I thought you could answer for

    me.

I have been waiting for over 5 months for any information on my I-130

case. This amount of time is short in comparison to other petioners

who have waited close to 1 year for their approval. Therefore, I have

no assurance that my petition will be approved within the time frame

of 6 months as advised by USCIS when I initially filed.

I understand that there is a backlog of petitions that have to be

worked through. However, this reasoning is not acceptable to me for

    the following reasons:

    1. I-130 petitions are not approved in a first-in first-out method.

Some petitions are not approved as the one year mark is approaching

while others are approved in 1 month with no expedite.

    2. I-129F petitions are being bypassed at the Vermont Service Center

but not at the California Service Center. How are these two government

agencies able to make decisions on how I-129F petitions will be

    processed independent of each other?

    3. K-1 fiancé petitions are approved at Vermont Service Center in a

more timely manner than K-3 spouse petitions. Why is there priority

    placed on K-1 petitions?

    4. I also understand that I-130 petitions are given least priority at

the Vermont Service Center, while tourist and work-related visas are

approved in a timely manner. Can you address why this is the case?

    5. It is my understanding that some I-130 petitions are being

transferred from Vermont Service Center to California Service Center?

Can you address how Vermont petitions will be prioritized at the

California Service Center? Will they be placed behind current

California petitions? Will this reorganization of petitions benefit

    the Vermont Service Center petitioners?

Thank you in advance for your reply and for addressing my concerns. I

can assure you that many spouse petitioners have many of the same

concerns that I have. I understand that this process takes time and

there are many petitions waiting to be approved. Any help you can

offer in understanding the reasoning behind the concerns I listed

above would greatly assist myself and fellow petitioners in trusting

that our petitions are being handled in a professional and timely

    manner by our government agency.

    Best Regards,

    Carol Kawa

  9. Just an update for you all really. I have had 2 touches in the last 2 days on my I-130 (nothing on the I-129f, seems not to be unusual though) and the second one yesterday was the dreaded RFE! Hopefully nothing to worry about. Anyway, today I got yet another touch on my I-130. I thought this was supposed to be suspended until we gave them the extra info they want? Oh well! All I am saying is that things seem to be happening with our petition and hopefully it will be back on track in a couple of weeks when we sort the RFE. So for those of you with similar timelines if movement hasn't already happened then it should be very soon. Good luck!

    Dave

Dave, when you say your second touch was an RFE, how did you know? Did you get an email? Status change on the USCIS website? My I-130 was touched on 5/4 and 5/5, and nothing today. Online status still says "Case received and Pending"...

I'm wondering if I got an RFE...

    Thanks!

  10. One thing I noticed about my NOA1. I went home and looked at it after we had that discussion about which date VSC uses. I showed a "received date 12/29/08" One day after my package arrived at the service center. BUT then again the date of my NOA1 and the date online showed 2/19

Sooo I dont know if that matters at all since it really seems like they go by the date the NOA1 was sent.

I think I just confused myself.

No worries Amastar, we're just really pleased you got your good news.

I too have my received date on my NOA1, but the actual NOA1 date is February.

The pattern is definately showing NOA1 date approvals, in which case there is a possibility you are the start of the February box .... God I hope so

    Youre right Sarah,

I think it does go by the NOA1 date. Which should be a great sign for everyone!!

Trust me when I say this, there is nothing special about me or my case. I REALLY think that VSC will start shooting out approvals now. I cant wait to see everyone else's "YAY! WE GOT APPROVED!" posts.

    :)

Yep, I think Sarah may be on to something. I am a VSC filer and have never posted because I always see the all elusive 02/24 date when I check the USCIS site. But today I checked and saw a new date, 05/04/2008.. I was blown away.

After I saw Amastar approved, I started to get hope... and now hopefully something is happening. I hope for all of us, we start to see the floodgates opening at VSC... especially those who have been waiting since Oct/Nov last year and before...

Wishing all of us the best!
